Back in the 60's the Seekers were 2nd only to the Beatles, they sold over 55 million records, no small feat by any group anywhere! R.I.P. Judith, you are missed very much! :(

Born in 59 and my intro to music was when mom listened to AM radio and Georgie Girl was often played. It brings me to the beginning of my music journey! Judith had such an angelic voice. Seems we’ve lost real family oriented music and even great ROCK and ROLL. Does anyone sing of life and love without cursing to please a certain demographic.
Unfortunately, I only became aware of the Seekers at the end of 2021, at the age of 58 - I have become a big fan. Not only the group's music, but also Judy's solo career really excites me. I have now bought several vinyl, CD's and DVD's and also two books, plus almost 400 MP3's on my computer.
August 5, 2022, when Judith left us, was the saddest day for me in recent times. I know there will never be another like her. 🙏
Judith Durham and Karen Carpenter had beatifull voices.
Funny I was just telling my wife about these two , so pure a voice like an angel.

Remembered singing the carnival is over during our last day in a primary school after which we go separate ways to secondary education. Most of us were in tears as we sang this song.

First time I heard The Seekers was in atound 1965 over Radio Luxembourg (sound best after 10 pm😁 so only allowed to listen to that radiostation saturday evening as no schoolday on Sundays. We where 3 girls sharing one bedroom, aging from 5 - 10 - 11😁.

There’s a group with a different name but exactly same meaning. The Searchers. Both of them were fantastic in their times.
Started listening to this great band in the early 1970 I was six years old and from then they have been my favourite band ,😂

Why do I love these old songs? There is a lot more. I've been listening to music since my ten age, (I'm seventy now.) New songs, from '80, '90, and from this century aren't as good as they were decades ago. Why? Nowadays musicians want money only for something noise? For example, they're only talking not playing music. Or the audience is singing and wants to hear their voices?
Missed "Turn, Turn, Turn". Nothing like the word of Godsung by an angel.
