"Do you want to be better or do you want lp?... If you want to be better, why are you afraid of dropping to gold?" That hurt a lot inside of me. I need to engrave that into my head right now....
Holy shit. Whatever LS says, this guy just agrees with him every single time without thinking at all. If LS had told him to go ignite exhaust taric mid he would probably not even question it.
Why the hell did it take me so long to find your channel? You have given me so much more in depth knowledge about league of legends than any big LoL youtuber
LS is being a fucking dick, there are better ways to explain things than implying religion is bad. Saying "god damnit" doesn't help this guy in terms of league.
You're forgetting in the context its used. 'Are you religious?' "Yes" *sighs* 'God dammit' . As in, fml, this explains stuffs or means stuff i need to explain. Could also be banter.
I've gotta question - how much do you think that your approach/mentality/mindset/attitude towards the game determines your results? in regards to both managing emotions so you can focus on the logistics as well as growth mindset vs fixed mindset and all that other shit.
11:28 "i have a video on this"" link for it? i only found one video relating to keyboard and mouse it looked like it was about sharing buff timers in chat.
Why are these champions better for training fundamentals? Farming on Malzahar for example is a lot different than farming on another midlaner imo, cause he has the w and e for farming most of the time. Dirty farming is also way easier with him than with other mid laners. So i dont understand why playing exactly malz makes me better at the fundamentals. Hope you understand what I mean xD
I've seen alot of Diamond people suggest that in climbing from Bronze, Silver, and Gold, once you get a Lead in lane, you should roam to extend your lead to other lanes, after I started doing this it turned my feeding lanes into getting fed lanes, I was then able to not worry about my side lanes and could focus on running down my own lane. Additionally If I don't roam for team objectives at baron or Dragon, my team could get contested and out numbered and we could end up loosing the major objectives to them. Finally I love to rotate for Herald because it helps me run down my lane faster. Yet about an hour in this video he suggests just running down your lane and doing nothing else. However, he also said to question everything and don't just believe what you hear. So now I am max confused.
LS, I think your coaching is too prone to tangents. Someone will mention something offhand in a casual way, like having been trained by a gold player, and instead of handing him relevant information (your training doesn't matter anymore, you should have been able to unlearn those bad habits), you handed him irrelevant information (making assumptions about his current mindset by comparing it to his mindset of a few years ago). I think if you were to focus on eliminating extraneous topics, your coaching style would be smoother. Your information is valid and your understanding of the game is deep, but the way you communicate it could use improvement.
Also, one could argue that it's the other person's fault for bringing up an irrelevant topic during the session. To use the example above, the coachee says "I was trained by a Gold player," and you could say "is that important to your issues and your improvement currently?" He says, "No," then you say "then it doesn't matter" and move on.
I think Arcsecond has a pretty educational stream and he's rank 1/2. Usually tries to explain his reasoning for what he does ingame and answers whatever questions people have during queue times.
Honestly, the ONLY thing I don't love about your videos is that you sound mean a lot of the time. You're completely right in what you're saying; I just think you could say it in a kinder way & still get the point across just as effectively.
Hey LS! Had a quick question to ask, not league related but I was thinking about getting into starcraft. I realize it has a daunting learning curve but I love strategy games. Is the game too dead to bother learning? Am I late to the party?
Dude the Gary Sheffield thing got me lol, used to love imitating his swing when I was younger and playing around. Then I realized all I was doing was messing up my real swing lol.
Hey, what should I pick in middle lane? What is strong? For mid-gold? Something that would allow me to control the lane better?(note that i've been playing for 4 months where 2 months I only leveled to 30) And at the same time I was thinking of changing fron eune to euw. I feel like eune is just really weak and the ping wouldn't be a problem at all. Should I make an account and start playing there?
you obviously didn't watch the video. You can climb to at least d1/masters with literally any champion, and the server doesn't matter at your elo. I am diamond 4 on both eune and euw, there is absolutely no difference all the way until really high elo, where the level of play is higher on euw because that's where the pros / semipros / players who aspire to become pros play.
What the other dude and LS says is true, it doesn't really matter all that much, however there are champs that will give you a slight advantage when it comes to lane control. Personally I would say Anivia, as it's easy to sit back, long ranged autos for farming, easy waveclear once you've got tear, and super easy to punish mistakes (of which there will be a lot) thanks to the 100% ap ratios with q and e, and the wall is just OP if used right.
Literally just play annie; annie has a great laning phase against most opponents and is brain-dead easy to play in teamfights. Focus on learning trading, lane dominance, map rotations, the different phases of teamfights, and build orders and you should climb very quickly. Once you start reaching much higher elos (high dia, etc.) you can start worrying more about your champion pool. About your account, if your ping is fine, then keep playing on your server; not to be rude, but you have no room to say that your server is weak if you aren't challenger or a very high rank on that server.
question: blue side trundle vs e.g. gnar top, trundle farms near his tower at lvl 6 somehow kills gnar & pushes lane out gnar tps back trundle wants to accelerate game and extend his lead, what should he do? 1. freeze lane and wait 2. push lane, and a. go for scuttle (worth missed cs?) b. try to steal red (too risky?) c. go mid ( assume its not overextended) d. back, tp bot & go for dragon 3. something entirely different?
Lmao that start "About 4 to 5 years.. Plat.. I am sorry." basically. I've been playing since 2010 and I never TRIED to go past Gold 5 due to Ranked Anxiety. Crucify me.
do u recommend playing normals instead of ranked games to practice fundamentals? are the core fundamentals the same for jungling? what champs would u recommend to learn jungling? what about map awareness as a core fundamental? how often should u look at the minimap?
I'm not LS but I'll go ahead and answer. He would probably say to only play ranked, because people actually try in ranked, and even if you lose LP you are still getting better (or if you're practicing raw mechanics (csing) to play customs). You don't have to cs in the jungle but you still have to have map awareness and proper movements/positioning. He would probably say to play easy, non mechanical jungle champs (so no nidalee, rek'sai, etc). Pros look at the mini map after every action, but as a beginner you need to be looking at the mini map every like 2-5 seconds.
I've always wondered and never understood why CS;GO pros have the keyboard like in 40 degree angle like you showed the "Silver Kayle's" lazy keyboard/mouse positioning but it's even worse...? Is it somehow just better that way in FPS games
YuutoSJ No, it's because in the early days of Counterstrike people would LAN. There was a lack of space between 5 people and 5 huge ass monitors. People had to tilt their keyboard like that to have enough area. Over time, they just got used to it. There is no advantage to it, if anything, it just strains your wrist.
because u usually get to play against other better duos or all solos but better players. and also its a lot easier to improve without having to drag ur partner around with u. its just that if he is not much higher elo than u he has a lot of mistakes that he makes himself and its better that u just get in a game solo every time and slowly climb and improve without worrying that ur partner wont be up to the task or that he doesnt care about improving etc.
So if I want to improve work on my fundamentals? So if I want to work on my farming and try to get 10 cs per min and the enemy mid laner is roaming do I just ping and still focus of my farming?
My quetion is it always ment to be push to win when below diamond? Example im malphite top im dominating somehow 3 kills 30cs+ Do i group up or do i literally just push top to nexus?
1 question LS because i got sick of my friends calling me a boosted animal .... So, when you said you need to have 50-70 games on the champ to even feel comfortable does this mean try it in ranked or normals and should i play normals and wtf is normals ???
If it's bad to watch one's own vods because of lack of knowledge to draw correct conclusions, how can one be sure that they're not reasoning themselves into circles about correct fundamental play and such? Aside from CSing properly, how can one reverse engineer correct laning without knowledge from a superior?
This is when you go and watch LCK, LPL, and Korean Solo Queue. Watch certain match ups, watch what the laners do and tear apart the why's and why not's of the actions they take.
+philam64 ultimately the conclusions you draw are going to be what you think of the situation, the only person who can truly tell you why they did this or that is the player who made the play or action. everything else is up for debate. always.
LS when you say push like a zombie, does this mean not giving a shit when you get gangbanged by enemy team (for example, being 3 and 8 but pushing all the way to inhib)?
Hey LS So i got used to holding my mouse like a "chinese fucker" and i dont know what to think about it. I tried to hold it the "correct" way but i just can't, feels weird for me. What the fuck am i supposed to do?
how can you play with your keyboard like that? i always have my keyboard sideways when i play anything and mousepad too. your arms gets tired if you dont have them on the table
If you would like some feedback on you videos here is some. Obviously you are a smart person and you know a lot about games, you were a pro player in multiple games, lived in a Korean gaming house, are a high end coach etc. But something I notice you do a lot and whether this is intentional or not is make the player feel like they are terrible at the game. I think to some extent it's important to do this so that the student sees that there is room (sometimes a lot of room) for improvement in their play. But it seems like whenever I watch your videos I am led to believe if I am not a Korean challenger player I am shit and maybe in your opinion players who aren't at that level are shit. But in the end it doesn't really matter if someone thinks you're "bad" at the game. I mean think about it a silver is going to look at a bronze and say "you suck at this game", a diamond might do the same to a platinum, or even 5 years down the line when league has evolved into a completely different game players might look back at your videos and say "wow this guy has no idea what he is talking about". I mean as you had mentioned in one of your videos if you are diamond 5 currently you are about equal skill to a pro player in season 1. So overall I think it is silly to say that a particular group of people is shit at the game. I think you should instead present the idea that everyone who ever has and who ever will play this game, or any game for that matter is "shit" (notice quotation marks). I think everyone no matter what level of skill they have can take it one step further and it's important for them to realize that but when you bring it up in a way that doesn't really portray that, I think it hurts the person's self esteem for one, and more importantly it hurts the learning environment and hinders the growth of that person because they feel so bad about themselves.
its important to differentiate between "shit at the game" and "being shit" at this point, because everything LS says is oriented in league (and maybe some salty flavor for the guy being religious) so in the world of league, a shitty player is just that - a shitty player. to recognise own faults one has to first accept that they CAN be at fault - and having an authority like LS telling your little ego you are shit can do just that. Also he is Korean, so he probably grew up being told that he is shit (in the real world, as a person) so he translates what he has learned into his coachings. We westerners are just not used to that imo
This comment is Well thought out. Ls has thankfully gone back to his roots and is humbled enough to keep at a standstill but he still has bad tendencies
something i realize after watching this, whenever me ore someone else (not saying this applies to everyone; maybe i'm the only one tbh) is that we just want tips on how to "win". we kinda just want a guide that can be a step by step "tutorial" on winning. i know realize why and how some of us (or just me) fails at this game...
i hope you are reply to it ls: how much do hardware and ping affect your lvl of gaming?how much harder is it to get to the highest lvl with a ping like 60?
*you need to think for your self not just blindly copy the pros* i think ur the only youtuber ive ever heard say that .__. wow. good to hear some one else say it. love your channel
@LS I think you were referring to Arcsecond. He's been streaming for a while and it's very educational sometimes as he answers his chat questions and does Q&A on queue.
What about LS tier list? Is it still up to date? In his last patch review he said GP is the hardest carry in the game but he's nowhere to be found in his tier list? Why is that?
It is just me or did he skip the 3rd question in the "champion pool" category: "When is it time to learn the more mechanically intensive characters: d5 or d2" . This is actually a question that I was looking forward to and is the only one that got skipped lol
If he does well he yells that he's the best if he does poorly he says he's awful, it's just being loud for his stream. As a challenger player he's better than 99.99% of players anyway.
Ricky Pedlow holy shit you dont get it, he plays dinamic queue with viewers in a smurf account for boosting them. This was said by him, he does that, becuase he doesnt give a fuck about the ladder, because being challenger rank 1 means shit now, cause of dinamic queue.
Since I made use of "mute all" and treated my team mates like primates I have improved significantly both at league and my blood pressure.
your profile picture fits perfect with the comment man!
sssssssssssame
"God bless"
I just literally fed my laners 2 kills each, and we still lost. I too will never again give kills to teammates.
"Do you want to get better or drop into gold?"
"I want to get better"
"Then dropping into gold doesn't matter"
This legit made my day
"Do you want to be better or do you want lp?... If you want to be better, why are you afraid of dropping to gold?"

please upload more coaching sessions LS. I love them.
The wound analogy is spot on, you need to make sure your information is from a reliable source.
45:00 why Do you chose exactly all of these champs? what is your criteria for it?
im trash at the game but i guess it's because they're champions with which he can learn the fundamentals of the game more easily.
I mean, thats what I thought. But why? xD Thats the question
+Shyzo vlad already explained it. Don't know what other secret answer you're looking for.
Hope you understand what I mean xD
i think, he chose these champs, because they are really strong in the current meta right now, especially in lower elos.
RoninKageokami, only roam when you can see something there to do. Ex: there summoners or a kill
4:00 At the religious part i laughed so hard XDD
XD
LS, I think your coaching is too prone to tangents. Someone will mention something offhand in a casual way, like having been trained by a gold player, and instead of handing him relevant information (your training doesn't matter anymore, you should have been able to unlearn those bad habits), you handed him irrelevant information (making assumptions about his current mindset by comparing it to his mindset of a few years ago). I think if you were to focus on eliminating extraneous topics, your coaching style would be smoother.
We westerners are just not used to that imo
because he is shit at the game. only when you can constantly hit challenger are you no longer shit.
This comment is Well thought out. Ls has thankfully gone back to his roots and is humbled enough to keep at a standstill but he still has bad tendencies
Klosterhasi he’s not Korean he’s a westerner
Hey LS, is Phylol the name of the youtuber you were looking for?
There's no way
something i realize after watching this, whenever me ore someone else (not saying this applies to everyone; maybe i'm the only one tbh) is that we just want tips on how to "win". we kinda just want a guide that can be a step by step "tutorial" on winning.
i know realize why and how some of us (or just me) fails at this game...
i hope you are reply to it ls: how much do hardware and ping affect your lvl of gaming?how much harder is it to get to the highest lvl with a ping like 60?
i love you dude. wish i could get a coach session with you.
Yo LS, what mid lane champ would you suggest playing for a gold elo player who enjoys passive farming champs (champs styled like Xerath or Azir)
"60 ping is pretty disgusting". I don't think these guys have been to Australia before 60ping is amazing
korea gets 9
If you live in sydney most people get around 20-25.. Unless you are lower middle class.
does ls flip a butterfly knife in all of his videos? what is that clicking?
hes fapping
poker chips
Can you describe any defining traits you remember from that educational youtuber?
im pretty sure its unswlolsoc
Yeah that guy is great, learned a lot from him.
26:00 you could still blame yourself for not spampinging/ writing to the teammate at the same time (high apm)
Is the educational streamer you were talking about Valkrin?
This is such a great session.
*you need to think for your self not just blindly copy the pros* i think ur the only youtuber ive ever heard say that .__. wow. good to hear some one else say it. love your channel
@LS I think you were referring to Arcsecond. He's been streaming for a while and it's very educational sometimes as he answers his chat questions and does Q&A on queue.
hes dynamic boost masters player
oooo yea i recently just found his youtube channel. Really informative shit he's got going on there.
@LS were you thinking of pants are dragon?
Do you know any educational streamer that mains top lane plz?
Hashinshin
+Kyle54 lol I've seen him play, I don't think he's good.
wings of death used to be good dont know now, sick motion is ok, any lcs player that ocasionally streams, dyrus
Aleksa Jovanovic Yeah I already watch SickMotion and Dyrus, I'll look up wings of death too
Thanks for the tips ^^
LOL XD YES HASHINSHIN WILL TEACH YOU HOW TO BLAME YOUR JUNGLER FOR DYING
what's the clicking thing that i hear at the begging of the video
Ps: i saw
Hey LS , what keyboard is that ? owo Is that a mechanical one ? Idk I like the keycaps
what would be good champions for fundamentals for bot/mid?
How do you get a coaching session similar to this one?
what do you think about kled ?
Why did he not mention swain? Is it not a good pick anymore?
He may not have thought that swain was good for learning the fundamentals of the game.
What about LS tier list? Is it still up to date? In his last patch review he said GP is the hardest carry in the game but he's nowhere to be found in his tier list? Why is that?
Nastah8 yeah
Hey LS, why do you max w over e on Malzahar?
What is the price for coaching?
It is just me or did he skip the 3rd question in the "champion pool" category: "When is it time to learn the more mechanically intensive characters: d5 or d2" . This is actually a question that I was looking forward to and is the only one that got skipped lol
What is the answer then?
Hey LS, did you ever think of that youtuber you mentioned around 20 minutes?
Hey at least this guy actually listen, he is in diamond 5 right now. Whewww!
can someone link me to the ls post of the fundamentals pls
I'm expecting that vod of you coaching Majin Boosted cuz that shit was legit crazy
what division is he?
Korean Masters
+Dash ダッシイーくん merci :D
think d2 atm tho, but his peak was masters in korea
"Wonky fucking setups" reminds of the way osu! pros hold their pens
LS was the streamer a riven main named Dekar173?!?!?!?!
lol nope, dekar is a rengar/riven main, he undesrtands the game quite well, he is challenger on his main tho, this guy said he is low plat
dekar is so arrogent he thinks he is better than everyone else
If he does well he yells that he's the best if he does poorly he says he's awful, it's just being loud for his stream.
As a challenger player he's better than 99.99% of players anyway.
so when he is smurfing in low elo and blames his teammate when he dies even though it was his fault???
Ricky Pedlow holy shit you dont get it, he plays dinamic queue with viewers in a smurf account for boosting them. This was said by him, he does that, becuase he doesnt give a fuck about the ladder, because being challenger rank 1 means shit now, cause of dinamic queue.
is 60 ping that bad?
Thanks for making these.
