Italy's team win archery gold in the men's team event as the USA take silver.
Full coverage from the Lord's Cricket Ground at the London 2012 Olympic Games (28 July).
Archery first appeared in the Olympic Games in 1900, was contested again in 1904, 1908 and 1920, then again, after an absence of 52 years, from 1972 to the present. The most decorated archer in Olympic history is Hubert Van Innis of Belgium who competed in 1900 and 1920, winning six gold and three silver medals.

The third person of Italy's team was freaking amazing
The second guy won a gold in 2002
Unique style is well
That guy literally carried the whole team 😂 like if they didn’t have him they would’ve lost
His kisses gave him power.
@@dyhockane7506 2004
The pressure he must have on that last shot and still hit a 10...Amazing.
its true
He shot the Arrow bad and the Wind correct this last shot
@@michelebalogh2829 are u crazy or what ghhhhhh
Chitarra_elettrica_pazza_26 It’s called using the wind to win
Zakaria Staout o
As the wise men says "omo de panza, omo de sostanza"

ITALIAAA GRAZIE PER QUESTE EMOZIONI.

Beh , dopo 12 anni
Many people here comment on how we all have too much accessories on our bows. This is target archery, not hunting. And they really do assist us in accuracy
And to add your comment, this isn't a Hunger Games too.
+Victoria Mok I find a lot of the gubbins to be totally unhelpful, but a lot of people seem to jive with them,
@@tombrown407 you probably don't follow proper form
Tom Brown it’s all about the form more than the equipment
@@ariamontefalco9652 I was wondering the same thing, I am not into archery but when i see the same precision on Katniss Everdeen and these guys I wonder> maybe you couldnt be so accurate without those assisting parts??
a distanza di 4 anni sto ancora godendo.
TheAkki87 mi manchi germano ;(
TheAkki87 Che goduriaaaa il primo giorno delle olimpiadi
my favorite archery match ever, I watch it before my every competition to motivate me , I love frangelli 💪💪
Nada Tharwat Do you have any tips on focusing when in full draw? Because that is one of my issues in archery
4:05; The kisser always wins.
eat more pasta USA
ROTFL :-D
Brady Ellison heard your advise 😆
@@user-qm1fo6qp1b lmaoo... I thought I was the only one. Ngl I liked the way he draws his bow in 2012

Oggi si sono chiuse le olimpiadi di Tokyo e sono qui a riguardare queste immagini leggendarie 🏅🇮🇹
I'm not a huge fan of this, but it was kinda exciting to watch. :)
Wille k yeah
That was a very good match up. Both teams brought it to the table and they never let up.
Congratulations to Italy.
That third Italian shooter that kisses his string
Would make a badass protagonist in a Manga/ anime 😈
Man I wonder who's gonna win?? The suspense is killing me
😂😂
hate the camera angles. why can't they show the whole range or something? I'd like to see the flight of the arrow, can't even see the distance they are shooting at...
Seriously. Turns a potentially exciting thing into something I'm not at all interested in watching.
its like if you were watching twitch but literally only the webcam video, not the game video. its lame
Indeed, when you mention it you realise how one dimensional the filming is. Could have been more exciting.
70 meters, but I agree, the camera angles are less than premium.
You would never be able to see the arrow in flight in real time
Notice how the coach's names are Kisik Lee and Dong Eun Suk......I'm proud of my country.
That finish was crazy!
instant classic back in 2012, and still great to watch. What a last arrow !
Giovanni Tarzanelli will always be the best Italian archer there ever was and ever will be.
4:11 Kisses what is called the kisser. epic style.
Like many archers ive tried having a go at Frangilli's style, and man, its an insane workout. Its exhausting shooting one End imitating that style.
gli italiani sono sempre i migliori
+piano yeah si con la corruzione ci sta
looooooooool
A fare che?? a rubare dagli altri
Experience player can play without tension any situation like last man contribution for the Italy.
both teams, phenomenal skills. I wish I had their level of expertise.
Well it helps when your team always hits at least one 10 EVERY round. DAMN.
They made me proud of being ITALIAN !!!
Why you didn't win it
7:15 he just fist bumped a high five......
+Maggie Ma unacceptable
+Maggie Ma
Galiazzo took evasive action
what a criminal
...in slow motion
Nah, it's just a struggle fist bumping/high fiving with a tab on. One still had his tab in his normal position so he couldn't high five, the other had it round the back so he couldn't fist bump.
2AM, time to sleep

Awesome Performance by both teams, I'd like Team USA to win it but they did their very best under pressure, Silver is still really good too, congrats to Team USA and Congrats to Italy for winning the gold, Frangilli, came through for Italy and what a shot!! I want to stand on top of the world with these guys one day, I will keep doing archery!! Go Team USA!!
Italy😍😍😍
I love how the Asian coaches just celebrate wi each other more time than with their own teams..👀👀👀
korean coach..
korean coach
and korean coach
Landstalker lololol
Modesty is nice.
But where were korean archers?
the Korean coach for the Italians was there just for formality, they didn't even want him there. the Italians each got their own coaching throughout life, the third guy's father has always been his coach
Those who can't do, teach. Joking
ilove the way that the third italy archer's form . haha.veryunique
distance is 70 meters
How do you know the distances? It never says.
+Itz Vrtx actually he does... 18:09
+Tuomas Puranen oh, I missed that!
Italian Won!
GRANDE MICHELE FRANGILLI !!!! 🏹🥇🏆
Anyone saying this is easy or should be with wooden bows has clearly never done archery before.
Tomasz Losinski no everyone saying are stating facts. And if your one of those people who think you cannot hit the target with those bows, I recommend you to watch a documentary on war archers. They could shoot a distance more than this with better accuracy while riding on horses. Plus with a war going on on
well, it takes more skill than curling, I'll give you that.
HarryStyles VEVO they could hit a CD disk from 70 metre's consistently?
@@gianjeffers6200 Put a CD disk to your face and then realise that ancient archers would head shot soldiers from a longer distance without modern hacks, carefully avoiding metal helmets.
@@gianjeffers6200 Yes, they can, i shoot archery too, and on a good day i shoot in a range no bigger than a beer coaster at 18 meters, the 10 is a circle of 4 cm, no bigger than a shot glass..
イタリアの3人目すげえ!
Proud to be italian❤️
bests in the world!
I love their custom color bows.... 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
That all did well and Frangilli is really amazing.
What excitement - a buzzer-beater 10!
This was one of the best matches this year
3:46 "Marco Galiazzo, *he's no... slimline wicket.* " XD
The mental game needed for this holy crap....
Archers in Mecca of cricket :-) thank u Olympics
amazing performance ..
the sportsmanship, the love between players, love it
I love that Match ,it's so wonderful and enthusiastic 💪💪
Insane ending...awesome thrilling.
the nerves that must of took to hit the 10 on the final shot tho. a 8 and you lose, a 10 and you win. crazy stuff
Dude, if I had been on the USA team, I'd still have freaked out and cheered at that last shot. That was the kind of loss I'd still be excited about.
Brilliant!!!
it's a teeennn!!! great Italy!
GO ITALY 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
best game ever seen
Anchor points change just a bit with these guys. What most people don't understand, is that with recurves ( I shoot one myself) it's... more difficult than what's called a compound. Your pulling back on all that weight without a lead-off. Having clean anchor points, and not rushing their shots is what gets the gold.
I LOVE ARCHERY!
que increíbles hombres para ser tan precisos en sus tiros. saludos desde PERÙ
Who else thought the first guy for the US was really cute?
Jake Kaminski, if you where wondering
michele amazing shot yeahhhhh
Pause at 13:03. Looks like the cover of a boyband CD, lol .
hahahaha
10 Points!!! OMG!!
tell me that isn't the most exciting end of archery ever.
gonna start getting into this. can't wait to actually try and buy my first bow.
Does every video title have to contain a spoiler?
thank you
This moment inspired me to take up archery. I've just completed my beginners course and joined a club.
Viva italia
Im just addicted to archery videos...
Excellent stuff! 5 months on, and i still love archery. I won my first medals last weekend, and have entered the European Indoor Championships next January in Telford, England. Might get to meet some of the guys in the video!
ITALY!
I love the kisser❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What legdes!! Imma be an olympic archery when im older hopefully 😁🎯🙊👌😍💁🙋
3RD US guy got screwed over by his own teammate talking. dude made sure to tell them that after that shot
Frangilli you have balls of steel !
archery seems really fun tbh
brava italiaaaa
great keep watching top archers, notice how the front shoulder moves forward
and the string just touches the chest practice your release with a old paint can
filled with stones best of luck
Michele Frangilli the last 2 seconds shot 😲👍👏👏👏👏😉
i agree with you that in the long run recurves take more time to develop technique, but at the very start compounds are just more complicated if you've never shot a bow. Most people see a recurve and instantly know what to do, where as with compounds people have to figure out how let off works and feels.
spettacolo
Tittle is kinda giveaway
I really don't get why they do this. Would it kill them to not spoil it in the title?
Ascalis guess it would be better :D ...
6:00 It looks like he's aiming right at you, scary.
Watching some olympic archery i would prefer to see the arrow in flight aswell, gives more appreciation for the shoots
Nunca tinha assistido esse esporte. Ameiiii estou apaixonada por este loirinho americano e pelos 3 italianos kkk são bonitos e excelentes profissionais ❤❤❤❤❤❤
