Many people here comment on how we all have too much accessories on our bows. This is target archery, not hunting. And they really do assist us in accuracy
@@ariamontefalco9652 I was wondering the same thing, I am not into archery but when i see the same precision on Katniss Everdeen and these guys I wonder> maybe you couldnt be so accurate without those assisting parts??

hate the camera angles. why can't they show the whole range or something? I'd like to see the flight of the arrow, can't even see the distance they are shooting at...
Awesome Performance by both teams, I'd like Team USA to win it but they did their very best under pressure, Silver is still really good too, congrats to Team USA and Congrats to Italy for winning the gold, Frangilli, came through for Italy and what a shot!! I want to stand on top of the world with these guys one day, I will keep doing archery!! Go Team USA!!
the Korean coach for the Italians was there just for formality, they didn't even want him there. the Italians each got their own coaching throughout life, the third guy's father has always been his coach
Nah, it's just a struggle fist bumping/high fiving with a tab on. One still had his tab in his normal position so he couldn't high five, the other had it round the back so he couldn't fist bump.
Anchor points change just a bit with these guys. What most people don't understand, is that with recurves ( I shoot one myself) it's... more difficult than what's called a compound. Your pulling back on all that weight without a lead-off. Having clean anchor points, and not rushing their shots is what gets the gold.
Tomasz Losinski no everyone saying are stating facts. And if your one of those people who think you cannot hit the target with those bows, I recommend you to watch a documentary on war archers. They could shoot a distance more than this with better accuracy while riding on horses. Plus with a war going on on
@@gianjeffers6200 Put a CD disk to your face and then realise that ancient archers would head shot soldiers from a longer distance without modern hacks, carefully avoiding metal helmets.
@@gianjeffers6200 Yes, they can, i shoot archery too, and on a good day i shoot in a range no bigger than a beer coaster at 18 meters, the 10 is a circle of 4 cm, no bigger than a shot glass..
Excellent stuff! 5 months on, and i still love archery. I won my first medals last weekend, and have entered the European Indoor Championships next January in Telford, England. Might get to meet some of the guys in the video!
I shot what you now call ‘Freestyle Recurve’ for years and once won a regional junior championship so I know how to use sights and a clicker to effect. ‘Windage’ is horizontal accuracy not the prevailing wind. The archers who use sights aim to have the pin dead centre unless there is a strong cross wind. Clickers and sights take away the fallibility you have if you don’t use them otherwise if they could do it better by feel and intuition alone the freestyle archers would not use them.
Nunca tinha assistido esse esporte. Ameiiii estou apaixonada por este loirinho americano e pelos 3 italianos kkk são bonitos e excelentes profissionais ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Not to say that other games aren't technical, but while tennis and football do include a lot of skill, overall athletic ability is paramount. Archery and shooting is far more precise calculation and very fine motor control.
I have quite a few records. I won't list them all but if you look at the British records (85kg, 94kg, 105kg, youth, junior and senior), American records (94kg, youth, junior and senior), and the world records (94kg youth) you should see my name.
great keep watching top archers, notice how the front shoulder moves forward and the string just touches the chest practice your release with a old paint can filled with stones best of luck
i agree with you that in the long run recurves take more time to develop technique, but at the very start compounds are just more complicated if you've never shot a bow. Most people see a recurve and instantly know what to do, where as with compounds people have to figure out how let off works and feels.
I feel like the little bead that Italian guy has on his string is helping him. It can be used as a reference when he shoots, the way I see it. I may be wrong, though. Also, if it has any weight, it could help the arrow travel in a straighter course by adding some resistance with the rebound effect that shoots the arrow. Again, these are all simple thoughts.
