At first I thought JD was commentating on the Cintron match... then I realized he was probably like 7 years old at the time.
IIRC Palmer and Taylor were both Ohio state champs and Taylor went up a weight to wrestle him. Don’t remember Palmer or any of these other opponents in D1 later except for Josh Kindig.
Pretty sure they were both ranked very high nationally (if not both #1) in their weight classes.
@@user-nc5vp4cc2iTaylor was #1 at 140 and Palmer was #1 at 145 in the country they were both 3x state champs and both went on to win 4. I think they were 1 and 2 in the p4p rankings.
