I love how the D1 college wrestler “shocked” two high school sophomores 😭
@@widehead1234 i know, it’s stupid they have the rules in a way that they are able to hide back, but still even if they were juniors wouldn’t you expect the D1 athlete to win?
Being that Bo Bassett has beaten the Nations #1 wrestler and multiple top 10 wrestlers, I’d say it’s pretty fair to say “shocked.”
Furthermore, when you come back from 7-1 that’s a pretty great recovery.

Its not a shock,hes a D1 wrestler coached by John Smith. Them beating him would have been a shock to me
It's kind of a shock, both of the high schoolers beat d1 champs last month
You can tell when someone doesn’t follow wrestling. Both of these guys beat NCAA national champions and wrestled well in the Olympic trials. They are phenoms.
Let’s not forget Aaron Pico won the U.S. Junior Nationals against Zain Retherford when he was 16 and later that same year, AT 16, placed 2nd in the Spain Grand Prix only losing to Frank Chamizo, THEN placed second at the Junior Worlds due to loss by points to Hassan Yazdani who went on to win gold at the Olympics.
Age and grade make no difference these days. Let’s stop bagging on the D1 guys when we know that people like Bo Bassett and Jax Forrest would be top 5 in their respective weight class in Division 1 wrestling, TODAY.

Bassett is almost 18 years old.. he's not some "kid"
posing this as a college freshman that went into OT with an AA during his redshirt year and was a returning finalist at this tournament the previous year as shocking two 16 years old is odd.
Probably because they both have more accolades for freestyle especially since Jax wrestled at the Olympic Trials, and they been beating NCAA champs this past few months.
