Yeah that’s a lot of holding back. Seventeen or eighteen, either way that’s an old sophomore in high school. Hopefully it works out. Anyone over 18 in high school with under age students has to be cautious.
I was 16 at the start of my senior wrestling season, which actually hindered me a great deal, especially against the top 5 and national hopefuls at my weight of 172.
His age absolutely isn't an issue in this tournament: U20 is under 20. In high school competition ... was he held back for any other reason than just to have an athletic advantage? Somebody knows the answer.
@@Th3Chuzzl3r he was illegally recruiting (I’m not sure if he was paying full tuitions (it’s a catholic school) buying cars or what have you! Yea I just don’t see the accomplishment of holding a kid back for a year or 2 just to have an advantage. Some kids hit puberty earlier than others & that brings natural advantages. But to hold them back so they can grow or hit puberty is crazy. To each their own. But it’s clearly not equal at that point.
He just won the U20 US open. That means anyone under 20 years of age. Unless they found a way to forge his birth certificate, he had no advantage this tournament...
Keep talking and complaining. Bo is not 18. But that does not fit the story line for everyone to complain about him. Lots of kids are being held back for one reason or another. He still has to follow the rules that are set in place for the PIAA in order to be eligible and he will be eligible as a Senior. If he was 18 as some people like to say, then he would not be eligible as a Senior.
He's an 18 yr old sophomore in high school. So Bo did the redshirt approach at the high school level?
18 yrs old and he's a sophomore? Wow...dad held him back until he was , what,10 in 1st grade?
Many times they are held back in MS after they see how good the kid is
It don’t matter this is everyone under 20. So people in college are here facing him to.
17 not 18
@@whippycongo482I recommend you watch the end of the video 9:03. Or are you saying the other ones wrong and the first dude was correct?

I can see doing it if your kid was young for their year and was buying into it, otherwise it's pretty gross!

Bassett is way too cocky in all of the matches I have seen so far of him.
That’s freaking cheating at its finest. An 18 year old sophomore in High School? So he is as old as most Freshmen in college
He just recently turned 17
My grandson is a junior now and doesn’t turn 17 till July. They definitely held Bo back.
