To strongly contest with Mauler on his point about people complaining about the hotness of a character or the bathrooms in the Dead Space remake. I care about it, because the people who did the remake cared enough to change it. These things are concious changes, and not for the better. If it was their own product, no doubt others would have cared, but I wouldn't, because that's their thing. They took the original, made changes, and I am allowed to notice and care about the changes as much as they cared to notice and change things to begin with.
Fixing it in post is a phrase that was used to correct small errors or mistakes. Think of a boom mic appearing in the top of the shot, garbled audio that needs to be redone in the studio etc. You can't fix things that are fundamentally broken, like bad scripts, bad dialogues, bad acting etc. in post. With today's overt use of green screens, it's somewhat easier to fix things, but what they're trying to fix in post now are the things that simply are fundamentally broken and obviously can't be fixed in post.

The reason people didn't like the toilet situation in Dead Space is because it had Unisex toilets which is commentary on the whole Trans situation where in the UK there have been a number of high profile assaults in women's toilets by Trans people. To many, the Trans/Unisex toilets are an attack against women when women who have the right to go somewhere where it is just for them and they have the right to feel safe. The attractiveness controversy in the same game is also an attack on femininity in the eyes of many. This because it is following the western gaming trend of making women unattractive and as androgynous as possible in an attempt to remove what separates women from men, femininity & beauty. Its well within a developers right to make someone less attractive if they want but people are not stupid and can see the pattern that western media and gaming is taking and I must say I'm disappointed you gents were unaware of that. So in short; Deadspace from that perspective is very woke but it is something that while playing the main story it can be ignored. Disney looked unstoppable only 3, 4 years ago. Largely because of Marvel, but also they were buying up Fox, so there was that HUGE catalogue of I.P. they were acquiring. I remember saying to someone that Disney's monopoly was scary and dangerous. But they became too big. Unweildy, too many moving parts. Not just the ideaology, not just the pandemic, but simply having to constantly go bigger and bigger. The massive egos and massive budgets, combined with choosing the wrong side in the ideaology war, resulted in Disney entering a death spiral that frankly I don't know they'll recover from. The best thing they could do is sell off all this I.P. Sell off Star Wars, sell off Marvel, sell off The Muppets, sell off Fox, just get rid and go back to basics: focus on home grown I.P. That's the only solution at this point.

I have to say, I agree with Endymion 100%. I was a little confused at first when EFAP went on about how good Ragnarok was. I genuinely found it to be incredibly disappointing and one of the most miserable gaming experiences I've had for a long time. From everything set up in 2018 I expected so much more, more epic moments, more chance for Kratos to shine, and waaaay less nagging about why killing is so bad. I get why you guys appreciate the character writing over many other worse written IPs, but then again being better than utter crap is not really an achievement. Asgard, Odin, Skol and Hati, Ragnarok itself, Surtr..... I could go on for hours but lets just say 2018 made me become a Norse mythology super fan, and Ragnarok felt like it laughed at me for doing it, its insane. Im also amazed nobody else had a problem with how rushed it all felt. Ragnarok came and went within in an hour or 2 at the very end, ending with a fight in the mud in the exact same shithole with both villains, despite being set up for 2 games and being the actual event they named the game after. It just felt like an afterthought. As I said I could go on forever but I shouldn't bother. Ever since they reviewed it I've been convinced that they only share those opinions due to watching playthroughs on youtube rather than playing it themselves, which most of them admitted to at release. Nearly every Atreus sequence was mind numbing, and they happened way too often, felt like I was consistently being slapped right out of my immersion, all to tell me Atreus is cool now. Basically God of Wars very own Mary Jane sequences. And then theres the puzzles that the characters solve for you, the awful layout of their open worlds and maps, and the constant reusing of boss battles just made it an absolute chore to play. I have played 2018 more times than I can remember but I will never play Ragnarok again. I have no idea why so many people act like its the second coming of Jesus.

Also maybe I was a bit harsh, I totally understand that some people may just have enjoyed the way the story went more than I did. I just personally found myself pulled out of immersion far too often. I also did all the side content and unlocked the platinum trophy because I wanted to try as much from the game as I possibly could, mainly due to being such a huge fan of GoW 2018. However I didnt feel like it got any better. That couldve also had an effect on my enjoyment of the game as some of the lazier and more repetitive areas and bosses are not required to complete the main story. Not sure if Mauler would've done that or if he just did the main story.

I honestly don't think the MCU needs to reset, they just need to tone things down and actually write a good story. But they can't, or they won't. A couple of things they could EASILY do. 1) Kill off Falcon, give the shield to Bucky. This would be great, we'd see the former assassin have to step to the forefront in a dramatic moment, and become a leader and would make for an interesting story for Sebastian Stan to play. Falcon's story is pretty much done anyway (although I like Anthony Mackie). 2) Kill off Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau becomes the new Captain Marvel. Just needs to happen for a number of reasons. 3) Kill off Hulk's son, Hulk rages! (finally!) She-Hulk sees that superheroes aren't all a joke, and has to deal with real consequences (set this up by given them a scene or two of "happy Hulk family life" then tear it away). She-hulk learns from Bruce and gets humbled. This starts to put set things back in place for proper character development, and gets rid of some of the egregious stuff. And allows for new dynamics to form. Anyway, my two cents! (It will never happen though).

I will defend DMC Dante does have an arc its just not as drastic as Kratos Where Dante in 3 had to learn that he has a responciblity to protect others the way his father did in contrast to his brothers selfish goal of gaining ultimate strength DMC4 shows that Dante without any family left finds someone similar to him in Nero someone with the blood of Sparda, for Dante his happy go lucky persona is a cope, he does it because its the onlyway he feels alive in a world where he feels alone, until the end of 3 he lived his life like rebelious teen taking out his anger by killing demons but now he does so to protect the world his father felt the need to protect while also having fun with it his way DMC5 confirms that Nero was Virgils son and that Dante was looking after his brothers kid from afar, once Virgil comes back Dante continues his responciblity of protecting others not just by fighting to save everyone but not letting Nero kill his dad as Dante even if he's about to kill Virgil honors family more than anyone in the cast as he values his human side far more than his brother but ultimately comes to grips with his demon side as its necessary to have strength to protect what matters vs Virgil who in spliting into Urzen and V learns to value of Humanity in being weak and working alongside Dante and Nero to save everyone. Once he gets his old body back he has a new lease on life but can't let go of one thing, his loss to Dante and tells Dante to come to the top of the Qliphot to end their sibling rivalry, once Nero beats Virgil, Dante and him decide to put aside their issues long enough to save the world and seperate the demon world from the human and sever the Qliphot and continue their fight in the Demon World leaving Nero to protect Earth in their stead as they aren't needed anymore

To strongly contest with Mauler on his point about people complaining about the hotness of a character or the bathrooms in the Dead Space remake. I care about it, because the people who did the remake cared enough to change it. These things are concious changes, and not for the better. If it was their own product, no doubt others would have cared, but I wouldn't, because that's their thing. They took the original, made changes, and I am allowed to notice and care about the changes as much as they cared to notice and change things to begin with.

Fixing it in post is a phrase that was used to correct small errors or mistakes. Think of a boom mic appearing in the top of the shot, garbled audio that needs to be redone in the studio etc. You can't fix things that are fundamentally broken, like bad scripts, bad dialogues, bad acting etc. in post.
With today's overt use of green screens, it's somewhat easier to fix things, but what they're trying to fix in post now are the things that simply are fundamentally broken and obviously can't be fixed in post.
The fact this panderverse exists changes everything . It puts a face on the ridiculous writing formula that they swear on their life doesn’t exist .

Fringe did a great job of writing a multiverse story. It grounded the story by only centering it on 2 universes so the audience could wrap their heads around the stakes.
The reason people didn't like the toilet situation in Dead Space is because it had Unisex toilets which is commentary on the whole Trans situation where in the UK there have been a number of high profile assaults in women's toilets by Trans people. To many, the Trans/Unisex toilets are an attack against women when women who have the right to go somewhere where it is just for them and they have the right to feel safe. The attractiveness controversy in the same game is also an attack on femininity in the eyes of many. This because it is following the western gaming trend of making women unattractive and as androgynous as possible in an attempt to remove what separates women from men, femininity & beauty. Its well within a developers right to make someone less attractive if they want but people are not stupid and can see the pattern that western media and gaming is taking and I must say I'm disappointed you gents were unaware of that. So in short; Deadspace from that perspective is very woke but it is something that while playing the main story it can be ignored. With that being said I refused to buy the game despite enjoying the original one back in the day because of this, I'm not feminist but I believe in looking after each other and woke is the opposite of that and always has been. Woke is a Marxist practice that is designed to divide and conquer us and I believe we are stronger when we stand together.

Disney looked unstoppable only 3, 4 years ago. Largely because of Marvel, but also they were buying up Fox, so there was that HUGE catalogue of I.P. they were acquiring. I remember saying to someone that Disney's monopoly was scary and dangerous. But they became too big. Unweildy, too many moving parts. Not just the ideaology, not just the pandemic, but simply having to constantly go bigger and bigger. The massive egos and massive budgets, combined with choosing the wrong side in the ideaology war, resulted in Disney entering a death spiral that frankly I don't know they'll recover from. The best thing they could do is sell off all this I.P. Sell off Star Wars, sell off Marvel, sell off The Muppets, sell off Fox, just get rid and go back to basics: focus on home grown I.P. That's the only solution at this point.

The what if storyline of the fate of the multiverse was legit. Mostly because of the intense character development of strange and living through the consequences of his actions. So still had that grounded one man's struggle story arc. I loved "What if" more than multiverse of madness

I have to say, I agree with Endymion 100%. I was a little confused at first when EFAP went on about how good Ragnarok was. I genuinely found it to be incredibly disappointing and one of the most miserable gaming experiences I've had for a long time.
From everything set up in 2018 I expected so much more, more epic moments, more chance for Kratos to shine, and waaaay less nagging about why killing is so bad. I get why you guys appreciate the character writing over many other worse written IPs, but then again being better than utter crap is not really an achievement. Asgard, Odin, Skol and Hati, Ragnarok itself, Surtr..... I could go on for hours but lets just say 2018 made me become a Norse mythology super fan, and Ragnarok felt like it laughed at me for doing it, its insane. Im also amazed nobody else had a problem with how rushed it all felt. Ragnarok came and went within in an hour or 2 at the very end, ending with a fight in the mud in the exact same shithole with both villains, despite being set up for 2 games and being the actual event they named the game after. It just felt like an afterthought. As I said I could go on forever but I shouldn't bother.
Ever since they reviewed it I've been convinced that they only share those opinions due to watching playthroughs on youtube rather than playing it themselves, which most of them admitted to at release. Nearly every Atreus sequence was mind numbing, and they happened way too often, felt like I was consistently being slapped right out of my immersion, all to tell me Atreus is cool now. Basically God of Wars very own Mary Jane sequences. And then theres the puzzles that the characters solve for you, the awful layout of their open worlds and maps, and the constant reusing of boss battles just made it an absolute chore to play. I have played 2018 more times than I can remember but I will never play Ragnarok again. I have no idea why so many people act like its the second coming of Jesus.

@@MasterSamurott he did, but most of the others on the EFAP breakdown didnt. Also maybe I was a bit harsh, I totally understand that some people may just have enjoyed the way the story went more than I did. I just personally found myself pulled out of immersion far too often.
I also did all the side content and unlocked the platinum trophy because I wanted to try as much from the game as I possibly could, mainly due to being such a huge fan of GoW 2018. However I didnt feel like it got any better. That couldve also had an effect on my enjoyment of the game as some of the lazier and more repetitive areas and bosses are not required to complete the main story. Not sure if Mauler would've done that or if he just did the main story.

I honestly don't think the MCU needs to reset, they just need to tone things down and actually write a good story. But they can't, or they won't.
A couple of things they could EASILY do.
1) Kill off Falcon, give the shield to Bucky. This would be great, we'd see the former assassin have to step to the forefront in a dramatic moment, and become a leader and would make for an interesting story for Sebastian Stan to play. Falcon's story is pretty much done anyway (although I like Anthony Mackie).
2) Kill off Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau becomes the new Captain Marvel. Just needs to happen for a number of reasons.
3) Kill off Hulk's son, Hulk rages! (finally!) She-Hulk sees that superheroes aren't all a joke, and has to deal with real consequences (set this up by given them a scene or two of "happy Hulk family life" then tear it away). She-hulk learns from Bruce and gets humbled.
This starts to put set things back in place for proper character development, and gets rid of some of the egregious stuff. And allows for new dynamics to form. Anyway, my two cents! (It will never happen though).

DMC4 shows that Dante without any family left finds someone similar to him in Nero someone with the blood of Sparda, for Dante his happy go lucky persona is a cope, he does it because its the onlyway he feels alive in a world where he feels alone, until the end of 3 he lived his life like rebelious teen taking out his anger by killing demons but now he does so to protect the world his father felt the need to protect while also having fun with it his way
DMC5 confirms that Nero was Virgils son and that Dante was looking after his brothers kid from afar, once Virgil comes back Dante continues his responciblity of protecting others not just by fighting to save everyone but not letting Nero kill his dad as Dante even if he's about to kill Virgil honors family more than anyone in the cast as he values his human side far more than his brother but ultimately comes to grips with his demon side as its necessary to have strength to protect what matters vs Virgil who in spliting into Urzen and V learns to value of Humanity in being weak and working alongside Dante and Nero to save everyone. Once he gets his old body back he has a new lease on life but can't let go of one thing, his loss to Dante and tells Dante to come to the top of the Qliphot to end their sibling rivalry, once Nero beats Virgil, Dante and him decide to put aside their issues long enough to save the world and seperate the demon world from the human and sever the Qliphot and continue their fight in the Demon World leaving Nero to protect Earth in their stead as they aren't needed anymore
Plus it’s heavily implied in the after credits of 5 that Dante and Virgil fight for the fun of it now, rather than power or hatred
I’m genuinely starting to wonder if the state of Hollywood is bc the new generation of writers was raised on the internet and don’t know how to relate with humans like their predecessors. They view storytelling as taking a 1d character and putting them in an interesting situation/setting, rather than writing a multi-dimensional character and focusing the story on how the situation/setting impacts & affects the character. Disney/Marvel projects these days feel like they are written by soulless AI.

47:00 mins or so Kangs motive was shown, humanity is starting to gain knowledge (MCU) of the multi-verse. So the collective of the Kangs motive is that they are actually the rulers of the MV. So they had a gathering and want to stop anyone from gaining enough power to threaten them.
It is still technically stupid as it is a contraction, He becomes the big bad because peeps might be able to threaten them, however doing so is only going to lead to his downfall, as he is literally trying to take on the infinite universe of potential other villains and heroes...

One of the things that pissed me off after Endgame is that everything that came before was just ignored. There was so little carryover from a literal universe-defining event! It's like the snap never happened. You have to have consequences, but the woke world today is allergic to consequences, so God forbid something actually MATTER!
