In your last video comments did you just say that's its "stupid" not to get married so you can slightly reduce taxes via filing joint income, compared to risking half your houses and paying alimony for a decade?
We are talking legally married through the state. If you choose to get married, it has nothing to do with finances. Getting married through the state is a financial choice, since you are going to pay taxes anyway. But if you can pay 0 taxes, I guess it doesn't matter. However, you can't always pay 0 taxes with this method. Only because of bonus depreciation.

Why would Uncle Sam allow you to claim 80% depreciation in the first year? If it used to be let's say 5% depreciation per year, why is it suddenly bumped up? What's the legitimate case for this other than tax loophole? Because it doesn't make sense
