Vernon, Thanks for this video!! You made it very easy to follow to make this. My bottom came out almost great. I say almost great because although what I thought was 1.5" of stock turned out to be about 1/8" in thicker. Soooo my cutout didn't go all the way through. I had to score what was left and snap off the rest. But that was my own fault.
I know this video is a couple of years old but still works today. Well done!!

    Fantastic tutorial!!
I added it to the playlist we share with all new group members. This would be a fantastic project for new Carveco Maker users to start out with.

Thank you very much for the compliment! I intend to put out another tutorial in the very near future about how I made what I called the fancy box it was a video I put out a few weeks ago I hope that one is as informative as this one thank you for watching!

Thanks for the video. I want to use my CNC and Carveco to make boxes and this is very helpful. One thing I noticed in your video that was different from others I've seen is that you didn't mirror the lid. I expect that the vector you used was symmetric and it worked out, but it seems like a good practice, just in case there's a slight difference. I was also wondering if you'd add a bit of clearance to the lid pocket? When you did the lid offset of 0.09375, I thought that maybe you'd bump it up a little, to maybe 0.095, just to make sure the lid fit without interference. Again, thanks for the video.

Vernon, just curious where you found a 1/4in end mill that cuts an 1 1/2 in deep? Great video and am going to try that in the near future. Oh yea where do you get your stock that is that thick?

The bit is from whiteside bits
I have a sawmill and cut the cherry myself but for the pine I simply used a 2x6 and worked around the knots
      Thanks for watching!
      Hope this helps!

Thanks Vernon, this has inspired me to move onto recreating your design first and then to use the technique on my own designs moving forward. I came here after seeing the original box you made with a butterfly on it. Have you done a video on how to do the 3d butterfly ?

Thank you for watching i’m glad you enjoyed it
sorry no I have not done a video on the three-dimensional butterfly it is basically a shallow relief carving directly from carveco‘s library however I may do one in the near future to help you out

Hello Vernon. Thanks for this tutorial. Question though, after I calculate the first tool path it isn't going up to be below where it says tollpaths. Did you hit something I'm missing?

Thanks for watching I’m not sure of your question as I rewatched the video to refresh memory I don’t see anything missed

@@Hinkleshop after you hit calculate on the first toolpath, it showed up under the toolpaths in the project window. Mine is not

That’s interesting you may need to reach out to tech support
The only other possibility it that it is not actually creating a tool path because of a issue with the vector
