In the US, most people who smoke are lower income folks, it's just a fact. When I started working remote in Europe, I was shocked at how many young, fit, well dressed, attractive males and female in their 20's and 30's were smoking. I've been to 10 countries in the last 2 years and still haven't gotten used to it.

As exsmokers we don't mind the smoke as much as we do not want to see anyone (young or old) get stuck with this addiction. It is very hard to shake.

Transferring funds. I don't have any experience between Norway and USA, but lots of experience both ways from Norway and Canada. The situation changed after we retired, because we have a minimal Canadian pension that is deposited into a Canadian bank account. We use those funds to support ourselves when we are in Canada. This way we avoid having to lose on the exchange rates.

Its good to know that smoking is not a taboo like it is in USA especially in Chicago where we currently live. I'm not a cigarette smoke, but I do enjoy a daily cigar with a glass of whiskey. Thanks guys for such helpful information! Obrigado 🙏

Ok, so no renter insurance. What a relief. Well actually it's not. It really leaves me hanging, because the insurance may be non existent, but what if there arises a problem that would be handled by insurance, especially if at fault of owner? Or when owner accuses damage. HI My name is Joe, am .5 Portuguese, and very ready to pull trigger on selling home here and selling everything. Your videos are great so far. Thank you so much! I may be asking some tough questions. BTW, I had the same car, same color '68 when I lived in Sardinia, Italy in the 80's.

Thanks for watching and supporting our channel. We have always had home owners insurance in the past for our homes in the United States. We are at risk without renters insurance. Most landlords in Portugal include causal liability insurance in the rental agreement. But that does not include contents. So renters beware. When we buy a place, we will get it.
