It looks more like self sabotage to me. The IDGAF attitude, where you don’t even try so then when you inevitably fail you can say “well I wasn’t even trying anyway”. Much better to see a person make the best use of their time and put on a show for the people who are there to watch him. Much more brave to try.

People simply won't understand how it feels until they are in the middle of mono and they have to skate at Tampa in the contests lol they'll never understand until the felt that same way themselves.
