congrats on the first sponsor!! I think the all-in-one shots were framed like that because typically shot-reverse-shot requires either more time to change setups or another camera plus Cam Op and AC...meaning more money this was actually not a bad movie for a TV Christmas romcom
When you said the boyfriend said get cultured before travel, all I could think was Barbara Manatee. And you can’t come because you don’t speak French! Lol
Nick DiRamio made a video about this movie too and the copy he watched also had "nutty movie night". I was actually taken aback when the MC said "naked movie night" 😂
This is one of those guilty pleasure movies that I actually like from Hallmark Channel. It's one of the few movies on that channel that I actually like LOL I've actually gone to the Chicago parade at Thanksgiving, it always was super chilly on Turkey day when I went to it.. and it went down State Street (where the former Marshall Street flagship store was located for many many decades). And Chicago is a magnet for suburban and small town people from outside the Chicagoland area.
I've actually had my own encounter with a Hallmark Christmas movie this year. It's called Mystic Christmas, and it's about a, get this, Marine Biologist named Juniper coming to help her best friend Candice in Mystic, Connecticut with an injured seal, and having to reconnect with her former lover Swayer (Candice's brother), and along the way, learning that maybe having a home base isn't as bad as she made it out to be. I REALLY enjoyed this movie. All of the characters are likable to an extent, (Especially Juniper, who gives Marine Biologists a better name than Emily's former boyfriend in the parade movie ever did), their interactions don't feel forced, it managed to tug on my heartstrings, and it doesn't really pick a side on whether traveling or staying home is better. Rather that both have pros and cons and it depends on what kind of person you are. I definitely think you should check it out if you get a chance, Avery.
Autumn Reese and Antonio Cupo later co-starred in “I Do, I Do, I Do!” as different characters. But get this, she doesn’t end up with him, she marries his brother!
I heard about that and to think when they were A Glennbrooke Christmas together after this they played the opposite characters that they are on this year only in the Christmas she’s the rich persona and he’s the judgmental working class one
While we’re on the subject of made-for-TV holiday movies, I recently discovered this 2020 Hallmark spoof on Tubi called “Cup of Cheer.” It’s a little raunchy at times, but it perfectly covers all the basic tropes of your average formulaic romcom. 🎄
This kinda seems like one of those Romcom movies you would put on in the background but at the same time I actually want to see this movie. Thank you for another great review Avery. And congrats on your first sponsor. Your coming up and I am excited to see where your channel goes.
19:24 I was waiting for her to say something about that annoying coworker Donna. She said call me but didn’t even give him the digits since she played herself
“You make love sound like a suicide pact” that sounds like it would be the r-rated, kind of insensitive, South Park equivalent to “oh please, she sounds like a deodorant”
congrats on the first sponsor!!

Thank you! And yeah that's a really good point!

I found this one to be very fun so I totally get that. It's cool that you got to see it in person!
i lost my shit with the naked movie night monologue. thank you for the laugh!
Haha, anytime!
Mmmkay... wonder why Hallmark doesn't put this in the yearly rotation lol
Personally I think it's a masterpiece 😅
Our girl finally has a sponsor!
Only took 3 and a half years. 😅
Kelsey Grammer, Christmas Carol Musical (2004). I just discovered this thing...And I loved it's stupide ass 🤣

11:07 I see something flash on screen…
Yeah this video was played with technical difficulties. Sorry about that. 🙃
@@AveryTalksAboutStuff it’s chill, I just thought it was the start of an arg for a sec

Sweet!
This movie makes me think the writers weren't in Chicago in November/December. Brrrr!
It was probably filmed in Canada

Thanks Tilly! The movie is on RUclips for free so definitely check it out in full.

Fun fact: I recently found out there is a hallmark movie called “enchanted Christmas”, I came across it when looking for beauty and the beast clips
Oooh! I'll check it out!
Don't Tell me about any Holiday Parade unless Turbo Man is ganna be there.
Couldn't tell for sure but is the wedding dress friend also the friend from Mrs. Maisel? Also this movie seems ridiculously fun
This one was fun! And I thought so too at first but then I second guessed myself.
Oh, and her friend who works in the shop plays her sister
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

That cool
Could you do a video for Oscar? It’s a little known Sylvester Stallone movie. It’s a lot of fun and has Tim Curry, so tons of points right there
Omg I know that movie! I'll put that on the list!
