Pediatric Nurse Shares Special Bond with Patient

Averie Lazzara first met Jamie Rogers when she was 2 years old and starting treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Though it took a couple weeks for Averie to warm up to Rogers, a pediatric outpatient nurse at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital, the two soon developed a special bond that they still share today.
