I feel like a huge factor that could completely change it up is an increase in customisation. I would say this is one of the biggest factors that make nfs heat more enjoyable for me personally, as I get to completely personalise my car, and not just add the same boring aero every time. Noted, they have added cool new bodykits, but then again, it isn’t fun to just stick one on and have it look generic 10mins later as everyone else does the same
I got FH5 myself after getting bored of NFS Heat, and I do agree, this is one of the most major things still keeping players on Heat and NFS in general. Especially combined with the heaps better wrap editor in FH5, extensive customisation, even if it's only for a portion of the cars like, say, the more famous examples in car culture, would likely make this just like the definitive open world racing game of it's time
Add all the customisation you want it won't fix a broken game, customisation should be a thing to add on to an already fun game to make it that much better and deeper but if you already don't want to play the game before you even begin customising, how is improving it going to help? Its all down to how the career mode is presented to you, in FH they throw a ton of events down and say "here you go, have at it..." and they put you in a fast car from the get go. Contrast that to successful games of the past, gran turismo 1,2,3,4,5,6, NFSU2, NFSMW, TDU1... they all had a good number of events for you to do and a variety of paths to take through them like FH does but they also started you off small, gave you a taste of what's to come (GT and the licence tests, NFSUG2 and rachels 350z, MW and the M3GTR, TDU2 and the rental car at the start...) and then you're put at the bottom of the ladder, do a few basic events to figure things out and then it expands. that's what FH doesn't have. it might work for new players where being overwhelmed by choice is in itself fun but when you're basically anyone who's played more than 3 or 4 racing games and some of those are like the ones i mentioned? sitting at the menu with all the events available in FH feels like looking at the arcade mode screen on GT2, you might do a race on there once in a while to try something out but it wasn't a game in and of itself, you really wanted to play the proper career mode and feel like you're progressing towards something as you go through the championships and earn a car you'd been waiting to buy for a week of gameplay and instead you feel like you've already finished the game and now you're just completing events to fill up the progress bar and unlock achievements, sometimes that's fun but not when that's literally the entire game :/
I agreeeee. If they added progression, a purpose to play. Really incorporated the festival (like what happened to the actual festival? Lol). Actually make you feel like you were apart of the festival. Then with the car list, driving and graphics it will be amazing
@@jasonlanham7730 There’s a reason that the festival vibe is so strong in the first one. Playground consulted Rob da Bank, the founder of Bestival in England for creative direction to help them develop the festival and soundtrack, and his expertise definitely made the game sell the Coachella vibe they were going for.
Same thing with FH2, it's progression system was fun, and out of all Forzas, Forza Motorsport 4 had the best progression system of all time, cuz you start with slow cars first until you slowly climb up getting better cars
I replayed fh1 after years and years, and the thing that stuck out to me most was specific races locked behind Pi levels AND drivetrains ON THE BASE GAME MAP, the only map. in fh5, you could literally just use one car and use it for everything (or the 3 cars it gives you). Nothing stops you from buying an awd supercar or getting lucky in a wheelspin and winning a Sesto. the base races literally tell you to use whatever you want (or recommended, which I don't like cause its never the cars I want to use), and it doesn't help with the most boring races I've ever done in the history of forza. also also I started on fh2, and I like the progress, its definitely waaaay better than fh5, progression and soundtrack, but I miss roadtrips :((
When you get handed the fastest and rarest (from IRL perspective) cars like 2 hours into the game there is nothing much to look forward to other than rare cars from challanges and so on. Imagine an RPG whre you fight the main boss 2 hours into game and then there is just filler content and bosses left. Horizon series has really become a sandbox game.
The main issue I had was that I could complete literally EVERY race with a single car. The Hot wheels expansion rekindled that for me. You had to use multiple cars to finish it. FH1 FORCED you to use specific brands/drivetrain/type/etc. There were fully-aninated cutscenes that gave characters...character. There were rivals in EVERY race that taunted you and made you want to defeat them. You claimed their cars and reveled when you finally beat them.
Totally agree with that I played the original forza for years because I didn’t have new hardware and then had a ps4. Finally got a PC a few years ago and decided to retry forza, tbh doesn’t even feel like the same game I used to play as a kid. The rivals were fun and having to use specific cars for a race was much more fun too. If you wanted to on these newer forzas you could literally complete every race with one car.
@@squirrely5527 What would be the best compromise is that a new race has a specific way you have to beat it. But once you win, you unlock the creator for said event.
Something I dont really like myself for the offline experience is that whatever car you choose, your opponents will also be around the same performance as your car. I know that sounds fair but it also makes me feel like "why would I bother buy a better car"
Honestly, its my first Horizon game so I’m loving it. Things here and there I would personally change but overall I just wanna see the community happy. Nothing killed my enjoyment of the game more than realizing I was one of the only ones really having fun. I hope they start listening to their community before its too late.
@@manuelcruzdsm5050 Yah I heard about that in advance so I did my best to stretch it out. It also helped I started, played a bunch, and then my friend got the game so i basically restarted with him and cause I was playing with a friend it was even more fun than the first time around. Outside of that I probs would've gotten bored much faster. The most frustrating thing for me, is to entertain myself, I wanna go back and beat everything on unbeatable, but some races they're...well...literally unbeatable cause the ai have hacks XD. Saw theres a new story in the update so hopefully thats fun. Defo gonna take my time going through it tho.
My first one was Horizon 2, and it was the best! Back when the xbox one was a new thing. The rain, rallying, soundtrack and the european landscape was incredible. For me, the only one which gave me a similar feeling was 4, based on the season changes. Never tried 5 though, changed to a PS5 and never got the game pass for the PC
@@theportugueselegend I mean they kinda ran out of major things to add, but there's still a lot that could improve the overall experience and game's lifespan (such as the odd lobby system, horizon life with convoys is trash)
i’m very happy you’ve made this video. i couldn’t care less about the game at this moment in time. it’s so damn dry and repetitive. i’ll go one every once in a while to take some photos or use my wheel, but that’s maybe once every other week. such a shame considering how incredible the first two games were. ever since the franchise just hasn’t been the same. none of them have been objectively awful, but they’ve just been so easy, dry and bland. also the constant re hashing of old content and then charging people for it needs to stop
I had the game in gamepass and I won the celica from like 2000s and now that I purchased the game on steam I lost all saved data and I cannot buy that celica anywhere, not even the auction house.
This is what I was saying, we play these games so we can have access to the cars we would want to drive in real life, yet they are locked behind IRL inspired auction houses so they become hard to buy again. I missed the celica and I still want it.
Started playing horizon 1 for the first time (on Xenia), and I finally understand why it's so well loved. -It actually feels like a festival. -The map is actually interesting to drive (even if the scenery is meh) because its not only high speed roads. -It can be annoying at times, but races forcing you into a specific class is a great way to experience different vehicles (though it should be customisable after you win). -And the progression is great. You don't get 99% of stuff for free, or have to grind like crazy for the 1% of limited time stuff "ahem" horizon 5. I'm on the orange wristband and I only have 1 S class car but I couldn't be happier. Even B class feels fast because the roads aren't massive so the higher classes are something to work towards, not a necessity to have fun in the first place.
Horizon 1 definitely had a good story and a great location, (Colorado is a beautiful place, and the fact we had that one road going up Red Rock, best road in any Horizon game imo), the progression was fun, grinding for money/cars actually felt rewarding, and it's sad to know that Horizon will never be the same ever again. Played Forza Horizon back in the day, loved it, now I have it again and it's just as fun as I remembered
it doesn’t feel like a festival anymore! I think that’s what they’re missing in the games now. Small little features like getting a wristband to show progression and driving to the tents to start a race. It felt alive! The new ones don’t!
I grew up desiring to play Forza Horizon since 2014 and finally got an Horizon game and FH5 when it released with the most expensive edition, literally 1 week after playing it I had everything I wanted and got bored lol, there is 0 progression or stuff to do, the map is souless
I've always felt like Horizon should go back to the original formula for story as the first game. Seeing Darius Flynt come back to try and get his title would be cool. But we lack extra characters/rivals in the story like Horizon 1 had I feel like. working your way up wristbands to play with faster cars as the story went on felt way better than having access to all vehicles from the start, should you have the credits to buy them. I should also note that starting each game as "The Previous Horizon Champion" gets old pretty quick. Why not have a group of friends trying to compete for the title and turn on eachother as it gets closer and closer or something idk. An actual story and progression would be way better than this stupid "We need to build more horizon outposts to make this one the biggest one yet" as its been said since FH3... As for the cars, I feel like instead of adding different models/editions of the same vehicle (Nissan 350z for example) we should be able to customize the base model to make those versions. For example, if we wanna make a safari 350z, nismo or widebody, the parts to make those should be in the customization menu. It would benefit Horizon if they had a similar idea of customization as NFS where you could mix body kits, bumpers, etc. It would allow us to have access to these vehicle models but also give us more customization freedom. Jus sayin
Honestly, it's my first "new" forza horizon game since Forza Horizon 1. I played the first game and absolutely loved it, and years later I heard about Forza Horizon 5 and pre-ordered it. And I'm kinda dissapointed in it. I love the game, but I miss the story arc of Forza Horizon 1... where you got wristbands to level up and try to advance past new bosses. And the worst thing is that they showed us that they could make a progression system in the Hot Wheels DLC... they literally locked all car classes until you did x amount of stuff for them to unlock. Couldn't they have done something similar with the main game?
They very well could. There’s just no beating the vibe that Horizon 1 had, starting out in the Corrado and working your way up to beat Darius Flynt, and I think the sooner Playground realizes this, and makes an earnest effort to make a progression-based story that their next game can revolve around, the more people will positively respond to the franchise as a whole.
You have a very good point about the progression here! Usually with expansions they test out new features to put in the next game, so with the hotwheels dlc having progression it could be put into fh6! Lets cross our fingers
Most important missing part for me is progression. That's the thing I liked about older open world racers and it just isn't there in horizon, at all. Even though a game like NFS heat is inferior in almost every other way, I enjoy it more because of the progression (and cops as well, but that wouldn't suit the Horizon concept).
I think the Performance Index needs fixing. Back then each class had their range of 100. For example, D Class is PI 201 to 300. But now, D Class is PI 100 to 500. How ridiculous.
Either have a fully focused progression system like TDU2 with a more limited car selection that you feel like you truly own. Or unlock everything from the start and give a full sandbox experience. FH5 is in the middle ground, not properly satisfying either approach.
My biggest annoyance with FH5 is that the online co-op sucks, Trying to play with my friend is almost impossible sometimes because of disconnecting and being unable to connect at all sometimes
there definitely needs to be an up in volume and crispness of the car sounds not only the car you’re in but the cars around you as well, i hop on to enjoy the drive and sound but what’s the point of doing that when u don’t get the full experience from the friends car cutting out or not hearing them at all, the next game they definitely need to pour their heart into the blissful side of forza that we lost after horizon 1
I think the handling and steering wheel support is great in FH5. And yes, I do race on more serious titles like ACC. But for the kind of open world game Forza Horizon is, interior cam + excellent ffb + somewhat realistic physics is more than I could ask for. I just want to see better customization, and better ways to use our cars and socialize, like car meets, racing weekends, track days, etc.
Interior cam is shocking, no sense of speed and no adjustable fov is just ridiculous Put many hours into Forza games and now they're just stale, boring hollow games
fh4 was my first forza game and i honestly loved it, the progression was pretty good to keep me playing for a long time, then i got fh5 which is great, it improved alot of the problems with fh4 but at the same time, i got incredibly bored, incredibly quick
4 was the forza that got me back into the series. 5 i enjoyed a lot but its gotten boring. The game takes longer than GTAO to load & it black screens when u finna load in, the map just looks bland & dull & the same all the time compared to horizon 4, spring looked so good, winter was nice too except for the poor handling in 5 theres a winter season but it looks the same as the other ones. The festival playlist is just the same thing over & over. would like to see something like crew 2 motorpass & canyons like the ones from carbon
I remember how part 1 and 2 felt Especially part 1 where you went to a festival had to do races to progress New horizon games give you to much at the beginning It's not like you have to do something And it does not have the same vibe as the first 2 games I don't want to be the boss of the festival, i want to be part of it And what makes it really boring -> Almost no visual customisation
I think the game would be better if there was more “standard/civilian” cars available to drive . I understand people don’t enjoy “slow” cars but I feel that it would create a more realistic element to the game
Problem is its an gamepad game so they focused more on speed and immersion of going fast and only high classes achieve that. I remember when Test drive unlimited had great implementation of driving "modes" where you could activate "hardcore" mode and cars behave completely different and harder to drive. I would like this implemented for experienced forza drivers to really see fun even in lower class cars.
The worst thing in my opinion is not being able to disable things like speed zones or drift zones, I don't like the space it takes up on the screen and ghosts my car if I want to just enjoy myself driving around.
Im already tired of driving in the desert and snow. Forza can be a good game if you don't overplay it. After a while you don't know what to do, you've finished all races, unlocked most of the cars and know all the secrets. Your brain becomes plank. Hopefully the Forza Team can make the next game a game that take a long time to finish and hopefully don't mess up the next location.
We also need more customization options, hoods, exhausts, bodykits, fenders, side skirts etc!!! A really good and long story line to play will be a good idea! I agree with you on the festival races, i got bored of them. Not something excited to play any more. 🤷🏻♂️
For some reason, I felt Horizon 3 and 2 were complete games in the sense that even the dlc was at least worth it. The map may have been smaller but it had density and things inside. Yes 5 has a bigger map but it feels just very dead imo. after horizon 3, the actual "horizon festival feel" trailed off and died.
I really, really HATE that clothes are in the wheel spins! I think for a driving game, car parts should be part of the wheel spins, exclusively! Quality rates should actually be functional, as well! Like with Destiny, CoD, etc., Uncommon, Rare, and Legendary should have real benefits for its purpose at said levels!
Agree on every damn point. I say that your first Horizon game will be your favorite because they cater so heavily to the new player and for me, that was FH4. Just the sheer amazement of discovering the open world and exploring the car list puts you into a childlike wonder, but it's quickly marred by the frustration of the Festival Playlist essentially 'playwalling' desirable cars on top of the sheer lack of attention to detail regarding adding new models. Additionally, I'm still mad that FH5 has pretty much zero MXDM-specific cars (i.e. Tsurus, Ramchargers, even just Dodge Attitudes) and instead they keep giving us Chinese nonsense which is cool but completely irrelevant to the setting of the game. And now they have a "Mexican car history" story to distract us from the fact that they don't even have the correct Vocho model accurate to the Puebla-made cars! It's really annoying for them to pretend that they're untouchable in the open-world racer genre and then regurgitate mediocrity like this. Hopefully TDU Solar Crown comes in and puts them in their place and makes them rethink FH6.
I went and restarted the original Horizon because of the progression, lack of emotes and clothes. Back when it was more about the the player rising to fame and the cars. Probably gonna delete 5. But thanks to game pass I was at least able to play it for awhile. Great video as always.
Well ever since Horizon 1, the game doesn't have that same vibe. It's so incredibly hard to explain it but it genuinely felt like you were in a festival for the entirety of the horizon 1. Now with the current Horizons, it feels like a 1 hour game instead.
Some players like to race... against other players... online. Here is an idea: Online custom public lobbies with rotating hosts. One can host three races however they like for the lobby. Then the host rotates to another player. The twist: The host can use custom routes in addition to standard races. You are welcome.
I loved and adored the introduction to this game. That opening screen is unforgettable. However, I was having these issues and felt this way at launch… great game, but could use a little more love.
FH5 is my first FH game, after I got bored of NFS Heat being kind of dead, and like, the first few hours were indeed enjoyable, and particularly the showcase events just have a cool factor you don't see elsewhere. But the issues pointed out here very much become apparent after finishing the majority of the storyline. After that, there's not much keeping me playing the game, since FH5 doesn't have the level of customisation NFS Heat did, there's no more progression to cover, and the online tends to work but be a huge mess of meta builds and ramming. And that's just the minor problems I have, I think the biggest issue is the map. It just feels like the same roads everywhere, nothing about it is challenging or memorable. The rural roads are wider than the average highway so there's no challenging narrow corners other than in the tiny city section, and there's just nothing to see or do due to that. It makes the races repetitive and boring both in SP and online, because they didn't do anything creative with them, so I don't feel like doing those anymore, while just cruising around in the map is in theory fun, but again there's nothing to see and all the roads feel the same. I hate to sound like the average "remake NFSMW" person, but I think for the next game they should really look at games like Most Wanted and Midnight Club 3, etc. for map design reference, since those did the maps extremely well and kept them interesting. And also for the love of all that is holy please don't give us a Mk5 Supra as a starter car, like, give a Golf or a Civic or at most some older muscle car and have some real progression, like, make the player unlock the car classes or something by doing races in the lower ones first, various types at that to encourage variety, like I never got into the dirt racing parts of the game that well because I wasn't forced to and the road racing was easier.
I've played since FH1. I would like them to move towards the old horizon feeling: - Start at the bottom and have to work your way up car classes. - Win to get fixed rewards - or a lottery between similar rewards - small win: you get clothes.. tournament win: you get an A-class classic racer - Remove the one-armed-bandit style loot boxes - this does not belong in skill games. - Less cars available from the start so weekly wins can be "new" cars (at least to that game) - Difficulty level based wins/rewards (like in Blizzard Mountain) where it can actually be hard to get the top reward.. but you can still progress in the game by getting a lower tier win. - Harder weekly challenges. The only challenges in FH5 that have ever been challenging are treasure hunts.. either because the clues have been bad or more commonly because they have been bugged - not a driving challenge even once, so far. - Do less and make it work without major bugs.
I keep hounding them and mentioning them in posts saying WE NEED 3D MODELS. I get that the picture thing was great and it's still working but NFS is doing Computerized 3D models of cars I'm for certain GT did it as well. Keep UP and the other thing that bothers me is that they'll add like 3-Km and be like "THE BIGGEST MAP WE'VE EVER MADE" no...it's not. Hypothetically it is but for long time gamers it's not. I haven't bought the game (My points still stand) but I love the volcano, the roads, opened areas, the cars (even though most are reskinned from pasts games), etc. One thing they need to do before even thinking about FH6 is the bugs; Y'all are with Microsoft one of the BIGGEST companies in the world and you're telling me you're STILL TO THIS DAY continuing to get bugs and glitches? The RUclipsr "Yeah Map" does a funny FH5 moments video series and most of the funny things are bugs and glitches, please fix that. Billion dollar company might I add. And another issue I have a problem with is the size of cars in real life that Bugatti is not even the same length as a Ford Raptor. It's like a toy car IRL it's like they never seen a car IRL and just said "Hmm, this car looks big in real life so let's make it big in the game" Nooooooo. But like you said progression, three hours to a casual player it's okay for them but for long time gamers three hours is like eating a bowl of cereal we're going to beat it in a shorter time than you think. I use to play only car games when I was little but when I got a little older I played zombie, Mafia, GTA, shooters, and many others and they have at least 8 to 10 hours but they think 2 to 3 hours is long? Come on playground games, make us addicted to you we want a toxic relationship. We want you to underdeliver then POW you hit us with the biggest news that would even make PlayStation/Sony say ".....Well damn". I love this series but they got to stop treating us like little kids we've been playing this game since the first one you think we don't know this game back to front? If Playground games ever see this comment, for the sake of a continuous supporter. Get it correct or you're going to fail in the future.
I’m a huge Forza fan (especially of Horizon) and I love the games that they create but I would like to see them return to the style of the original Forza Horizon because that game has such an amazing atmosphere and feeling it honestly just gives me goosebumps even thinking about the game but it doesn’t feel like any of the later games have come close apart from Horizon 3 which still has some of the modern Forza traits just felt mor alive than the other modern ones and did some really unique things, the modern Forza games are still great but the original Horizon was sensational. So basically I just want a game that feels more like FH1
I'd really love to see a remaster of the first Horizon game. I haven't even played it (I've only played 2, 3 and 5) and it just would be a great return to form. Expand the map out more, bring in some never before seen cars with a strong story and post-game progression. I think we all would want that most of all
In my opinion I feel like forza horizon 4 was so fun to play and I have put many hours into that game because of how interesting it got and honestly Britain was an amazing location to have it at. I feel like horizon 5 is just so plain and simple now like it’s ok. I don’t even play the game anymore even with the dlc now and the map is very boring like it’s a lot of daytime driving in the game instead of night because the nights in that game go by so fast for some reason which sucks.
Yeah I hate to say it but Forza as awesome as it looks and such did get old faster than my other racers like nfs and the crew 2! Running from the cops was fun longer and the challenges in crew 2 kept me going longer than Forza did!
"Eventlab" is the best thing what happened in Forza Horizon series. FH5 is now like a sandbox - do your own story, own racing series, do your own adventure etc.. I run discord server with 100+ people and eventlab is the main reason, we still play it! Yeah, sure, great story and progression is a thing, but still - IMO Forza Horizon 5 is the BEST open-world racing game ever! There is no competition. Yes, The Crew 2. I own this game. I play it maybe once a month - because it is empy! There are so much things to do, but still, there is something missing. And also, handling is the main reason I play The Crew 2 so little.
The game has been aimed at new, casual players for the last three installments with weird allocation of resources. The idea of "Here are things you can do, now go out and make your own story" sounds good on the outside, but it can easily turn into nothingness if the player is left with nothing significant to achieve, which I felt for FH4 and FH5. It's just win races, roll wheelspins, collect cars yadda yadda. FH3 introduced you into the role of a Horizon festival director which was fresh at the time, then it went completely pointless with the release of FH4 as you basically kept all the privileges of what was previously known as the power of the festival director. Locations changed but the experience didn't. Everything is optional and whatever I do gives virtually the same rewards, minus the Festival Playlist which is awfully repetitive. They seem to invest a lot in art, and most of the car models surely look pretty, but if you compare some of them side by side, they go as far as reusing the same car models from FM4 (2011!) and some even lack the visual customizations that were once in those previous games. This is probably one of the most dreadful aspects in this game for me - the latest three NFS games from Ghost may have had a number of significant issues, but the one thing that makes me come back to them once in a while is their highly detailed visual customization options harking back to the two Undergrounds. Now you can even wrap over windows, and apply different materials to layers. What do we have in the latest Horizon game? Same old Forza front splitter, same old Forza rear wing, maybe a few aftermarket body parts if they're generous (exhaust tips are still tied to rear bumper btw), questionably modeled wheels that cannot be downsized under the car's stock wheel diameter, and the venerable same old painting system based on projecting vector shapes from five directions that warp horribly if the body has any significant angle, and you can't even color them in any other materials than gloss paint. This gets worse out in the field as your opponents' wraps get compressed down to 2k and yours to 4k (this may sound okay, but it is in no way enough for large objects like cars). Cars with a complex livery are in no way photogenic as you easily notice their low-res blur on higher resolution screens. Most of the art effort goes to making the world, full of same hilariously wide, high-speed roads and maybe one or two actually challenging routes. The vibes are great, yet I have no fun racing in them. The only saving grace was the introduction of EventLab, from which a number of challenging tracks have been created by the like-minded fans. I get it, the game is meant for everyone from casual to enthusiasts. That doesn't justify them repeating the same features for the entire series. There needs to be a specific region full of actually dangerous, deceptive corners that motorsport enthusiasts would dare to take on.
I remember FH and FH2 having some sort of story that were lengthy and pretty good. Three and four tweaked it very well and 5 I dunno I feel it was just put together with a that will do attitude. My 2 cents
I really want to see that you can make progress in the game. That's way under rated. Forza has a good class system so make it that you need to rake up from c to b (as an example tier so if you get better with the game you get faster cars. Another point is the open world don't do countries like you do now no corner of the map is really distinct from each other. In old nfs tiels you know every turn and every crossing because the dont need du be like realife. And the last point for me is you feel the sence of driving fast only realy in s tier cars or above you just dont get a sence of speed and that would be so important for racing games. To name some porblems i have with the game. And that's some points that made the old nfs good but i would like to hear other opinions so lets take about it. I find it really interesting as a Gamedesigner to see those things be taked about and hear other opinions
I‘ve followed the Forza franchise since the first Forza Motorsport on the original Xbox. What we are seeing in Forza Horizon, is exactly what happened to every Forza Motorsport since the 5th entry and I really hope that the new one will not feel the same yet again. In the Horizon series I feel like they went the Motorsport route in terms of content since the third Horizon entry… It‘s really frustrating to see how long term fans have been jumping off the series because there‘s so little new ideas added. I can‘t stress it enough that that‘s not the way they should continue, they HAVE to bring the original excitement back we felt with Horizon 1 and 2. What we‘re feeling now is having to get the game to give the series „one more chance“ just to leave it to collect dust after a month… The only thing holding us in the series is the FOMO effect and the wish of the new entry to be better… The fact that they‘re recycling car models and putting them in paid content really is the biggest punch in the face a real fan like me and many others can get for holding on to the series…
We wish they do something different but they won’t and we all kwon that but if by some miracle they do something different and what we the players want in a forza game then I’ll take back this statement.
I'm bored of it cause the playlists are repetitive and the rewards are rarely ever worth the grind. Matter fact I havent touched horizon 5 since the first day of the hot wheels DLC and even that got old pretty quick
I've been playing Forza Horizon games since the very first one came out with every single one after that I have just been more and more impressed and had more and more fun I am a racing game junkie and Horizon is my heroine I agree with some of the points you make in this video but I also disagree with most Forza isn't a game for the serious players even Motorsport there for the laid-back racing game fan who just likes to screw about on a big map with tons of different cars not have white knuckling races every time I want to have fun some people just enjoy the simplicity of getting in a Camaro and ripping 220 miles an hour down the highway with no consequences
Having played all the forza games since original motorsport . Nothing really changes. We still have the same boring limited body mods we has at the start. The horizon games are just copy and paste from the last one. Horizon 5 is just 4 in a different country. Mostly the same cars same body mods . Completed the main game in a couple of days.. festival play list is just boring rinse and repeat each week. . Sorry ro upset all the fan boys n girls who think the sun shines out of there bottoms. But the devs are just lazy there's not much thort goes into anything. Nothing really new. I mean the first dlc hit wheels we have had that. What's the next fortune Island or blizzard mountain again. Boring game lazy devs. 😴
This game really needs sorting out. Either ghost everyone or make ramming impossible. Seems a bit odd having PvP elements in game with missable checkpoints and full contact on tight tracks yet are able to ban people if the inevitable happens. They banned everyone beacuse of shoving is so braindead
*The problem with Horizon (and open world games in general) is that there is TOO MUCH TO DO!* *And to people who disagree:* *1. Is Horizon the only game you play?* *2. Do you guys have a job or go to school?* *3. Gaming isn’t your job. You’re not a content creator/streamer. You don’t need to have a game that has no end.* *4. Ever heard of a completionist? There’s nothing to complete in a never ending game.*
the only problem is getting cars you can get like a bugatti at first wheel spin or the op sesto instead of starting with a min cooper and end up with a koenigsegg jesko...
To respond to your response. No it’s not, but it’s about the only racing game o play. Yes I have a job (not that that’s relevant). While it’s not my job to play the game, that doesn’t mean I have no reason to not want to have more content to play. Yes, I have heard of completionidts, but are you really trying to imply that Horizon 5 should have a point in which the game ends and there is no new content to check out just so a small niche of players can 100% complete an arcade racing game? You’re close to having a solid point, the issue isn’t that the game has too much content, the issue is that there is no end goal. The fix for the issue isn’t not having as much content, it’s having a better form of progression. If you’re a completionist, okay a game meant to be completed.
There’s another thing that made me enjoy 4 than the 5, I just enjoyed doing nothing but driving in the UK map as a way to chill, I guess the Mexico map just feels wild to do that.
I started with 3, and the feeling of progression in that game really left me satisfied, and I was looking forward to the next instalment of the series. Safe to say, I haven't enjoyed 4 or 5 a whole lot and probably won't bother with 6 whenever that gets rushed out the door.
6:10 I really don't mind the lack of "Progression" in the game and I don't think it needs "Progression". Now this is my 1st Forza game, so also my 1st Forza Horizon game. But to me the game isn't about a story, or your character. It's about your experience at the Horizon Festival as one of the best drivers in the world. And like in real life you don't need to go through a progression of cars to get to your dream car if you have the friggin money to just buy. (Except for Ferrari, I heard Ferrari won't just sell you the latest Ferrari unless you have had a Ferrari or a few Ferraris before)
There's nothing I want more than a meaningful story and satisfying progression, exactly like Horizon 1. Also a more lively and realistic world with more NPCs would be much better.
My idea about this game’s one of the future updates: Migrated cars from the festival playlist, putting in the autoshow because the future car buyers will get impatient to earn millions of money to buy them in the auction, miss out driving the new cars or struggling complete missions.
I'm sad that fh5 is basically a copy and pasted fh4, nothing new really, no progression, no proper housing, still a tiny world with a tiny 1 way highway. just bad.
most important thing are the cars. there are over 500 cars in the game, yet we use maybe 10 of them. races MUST have more restrictions. drivetrain restrictions. horsepower restriction. minimum weight. tire selection. aero restrictions, suspension restrictions. etc etc. this is what the game misses. diversity
where do i start? RECYCLED CONTENT Wheel FFB Still no VR support No decent engine swaps Crap car sounds *still* No really good body mods, plus the removal of rocket bunny. Old car models No interior customization or windscreen banners No custom Tyre writing like Nitto, Toyo or Falken No RAYTRACING despite all promotional material containing it Buggy multiplayer. and that just about covers it, im sure i missed out tons however despite its "shortcomings" its is still kinda fun.
I agree with everything pantha said. The only other things I would change is some of the driving physics to make it more logical and realistic. Plus, I would also add more vehicle customization. I think it would also be cool to see an option for a realistic mode in the game. Where the damage it the same as if you crashed in real life, the cars' engines we're the same quality as in real life and also having the ability to have more traffic and features like signal lights and full interior view.
(Oh dear, this comment all got a bit out of hand. Sorry. Short version: "FH5 has quite a few issues.") I started with FH4 and suspected (correctly) that FH5 would be less engaging and the same game in a different place. As far as customisation goes, as well as a wider range of custom aero that suits the car, make the stock aero tunable, and make it equal to the Forza aero (see the 2021 911 GT3 where Forza aero improves the handling). A range of branded tyres (all right, licensing fees), manufacturer rims (fine, more licensing fees). Seasons are a waste of time, being too indistinct. The only time the weather seems to turn up is in the seasonal championships. But FH4 could’ve restricted snowy winter to the northern part of the map and the hills. Larger map doesn’t mean a better map. In spite of all the biomes, a large swathe of the map seems empty and bland. Copy-and-pasting cars from earlier games. If it was in earlier Horizon games, and is still licensed, have it in the game from the start. The drivatars are irritating. As you said, they're either too fast or too slow. Three-lap circuits can sometimes be enough, but I normally do 15-lap races in which on quite a few occasions, I've trailed some drivatar for half the race or more. Sprint/trail races can be massively frustrating when one or two of the drivatars are absolute missiles on rails. Of all the issues the game has, this is the one that puts me off the most. Up shorter circuit races to five laps as default (and partly as a counter to rocket drivatars). Add intermediate-length races as part of the official roster, filling the gap between Playa Azul and the Goliath. Make the road circuits look like proper motorsport circuits with stripy kerbs and all the other paraphernalia. Add split times and sector times. Let players see their stats across all races even if it’s per car, class, best lap, and overall race time. Connectivity has got worse since the HW expansion came out. Over the past couple of weeks, the connection has been constantly dropping, apparently back, and gone again. Needs fixing. Syncing. The local save should always be the latest one, and if the game needs to copy it to some remote server, it can do so when I’m not playing the game. This ruined FH4 for me (and see the next point). The relationship between the game and the xbox app and MS shop, which is related to the previous point. I should never see an invalid profile message or if I do, it gives me the option to exit the game and tells me I need to log back in to the xbox app (from which I should never have been logged out in the first place unless I said so). I should never have to do a preflight check to make sure I’m logged in to the MS gaming system. Progression only lasts so long before it runs out, but they could have something like the HW expansion where you start in D class and work your way up to X-class even if it doesn’t last that long. Make prestige progression worth pursuing. Ditch kudos as it’s meaningless and encourages players to send cars as gifts. Get rid of gifting. I’ve been playing this game since the very beginning and yet I’m still being given cars if I just started FH5 yesterday. I’ve had a few decent cars, but most are rubbish and get deleted. Stop setting the game in a particular locale. Perhaps opt for a mashup of real-world races and fictional ones. Make the paints and designs editor like Photoshop with, for example, drawing tools. Make it possible to make the whole car the canvas as well as individual sections. Include the names of manufacturer colours which is, I see, a feature in GT7. Perhaps a split garage where the default is a small selection of current/favourite cars, and all the rest in storage. It would perhaps help with focus instead of being presented with every available car and wondering which one is optimal. There are probably various additional filters which would be useful. I don’t know whether I’ll bother with FH6, but recognise that FH4 and FH5 won’t be available forever to download onto newer hardware. I predict that FH6 will be more of the same, but if they’re going to use a new game engine, some of the lingering bugs might finally be eliminated (probably to be replaced by new ones that are never fixed).
I have pre-ordered the game and was so hyped as it was my first FH game. After release I spent 5 months, yes thats right 5 months to be even able to play online. But hell no after 5 months it was constantly disconnecting meaning not being able to stay in convoy. No matter how many reports I have made, I have never got a single reasonable person in support to help with anything. Certainly this is first and last time they got my money ^^
Feature requests • story progression & exclusive rewards • an outrun pvp mode free roam (nfsu2) • convertible Aston & Viper roadster • Monster truck • operable sun roof & windows • hydraulics • manufacturer paint any car + new special paint water changing • action replay online free roam drone cam angles! • replay saves, faster rewinds • improved matchmaking in freeroam • gift cars… & car clubs (FH1) • a sequential gears car could override the manual+clutch setting ? (1 new setting) 👏🤣 I agree!! as for FM, today I tried to play Motorsport 5 online, It was my go too Motorsport for a while. I play Horizon series way more now.
For me, there are a few issues: • I got a supercar gifted to me immediately after I started playing. No progression, no striving for the goal of buying it, just a Mercedes AMG One straight from the off. The game needs to give us a tiny amount of cash at the start and force us into the low-powered cars before we progress to the more powerful ones. • I find myself doing the weekly Playlist challenges to make sure I have every car but lately it feels like a chore just to hit the points target to win the car that’s just going to sit in the garage • Releasing cars from the previous games as “new” cars • The Extreme E cars - for the first time I didn’t feel like I needed to win those cars; once I had one I’d basically got the lot • Those Toyota pickup trucks on the car pass. There are three Toyota trucks in the game that I can’t tell the difference between. I like a lot of the unusual cars and I don’t really need exotics all the time, but these identikit trucks? Really?
Spot on, especially with lack of progression. I’d add that being able to use any car for any race in the campaign just brings out a lack of depth. It was more fun in FH1 when every main race had to use a certain type of car in a certain class, forces u to use more of your garage that you’d never realistically use.
I kinda understand the frustration and you have some excellent points, but at the same time Horizon 5 is just my second Horizon so I am absolutely loving it. Especially with the editor and Hot Wheels DLC this game is like a giant set of miniature cars sandbox and my inner child can't get enough. I gotta admit though that I would like Horizon 6 to go further with the changes and new stuff, because tbh outside the editor and better map, Horizon 5 is not that different from 4.
I know this may sound silly, but I want them to make it harder to earn money, I still remember in fh3 having to grind races to earn enough money to buy that car I wanted desperately, but nowadays I go into the game, recieve money from businesses, then open my super wheelspins, and within 5 minutes I can afford some very expensive cars, while this will bring back some enjoyment into the game for me it will also just make me enjoy the racing side of the game, I'll actually want to go race round every circuit in the game and feel like I'm doing it for a reason, rather than doing a race knowing I can get 10x the amount of money from a wheel spin, another idea I've been thinking of has to do with dlcs it's very simple, make the cars cost credits, instead of buying the dlc and instantly getting lots of op cars right at the start of the game, still make us work for them make us earn credits to buy the cars, this is my two pence.
Doing horizon open or trial is such a pain, it feels like there's about 5 minutes of waiting before and between races seemingly to play some stupid animation and if you fast travel to a location to start another race after playing a different race you have to sit and stare while your experience racks and credits award without the option to skip or even just speed it up before it allows you to do what you want to do.
You touched on the progression of the game, and how you get three great cars right off the bat. I completely agree and I wish you expanded more on that point. I felt like the “story mode” of discovering different parts of the map and all that was hasty, and I completed it within the first week. AND after only a few hours of gameplay, I had enough money to buy any and every car I wanted. Even in 4 I had to try harder to get a veyron or something, it felt…. Too easy
If they keep catering to new players each game, they won't fix/ add anything fresh. They'll keep repeating it because they know those people won't notice the repeated features. This is literally gonna kill the series, doesn't matter if we have new people playing it, once the majority of the older player base starts spreading info, this series is gonna tumble.
I feel like a huge factor that could completely change it up is an increase in customisation. I would say this is one of the biggest factors that make nfs heat more enjoyable for me personally, as I get to completely personalise my car, and not just add the same boring aero every time. Noted, they have added cool new bodykits, but then again, it isn’t fun to just stick one on and have it look generic 10mins later as everyone else does the same
this
Being able to create our own bodykits
I got FH5 myself after getting bored of NFS Heat, and I do agree, this is one of the most major things still keeping players on Heat and NFS in general. Especially combined with the heaps better wrap editor in FH5, extensive customisation, even if it's only for a portion of the cars like, say, the more famous examples in car culture, would likely make this just like the definitive open world racing game of it's time
Not really. I played Horizon 1 for years after it came out, and it had less customization than Forza Horizon 5.
Contrast that to successful games of the past, gran turismo 1,2,3,4,5,6, NFSU2, NFSMW, TDU1... they all had a good number of events for you to do and a variety of paths to take through them like FH does but they also started you off small, gave you a taste of what's to come (GT and the licence tests, NFSUG2 and rachels 350z, MW and the M3GTR, TDU2 and the rental car at the start...) and then you're put at the bottom of the ladder, do a few basic events to figure things out and then it expands. that's what FH doesn't have. it might work for new players where being overwhelmed by choice is in itself fun but when you're basically anyone who's played more than 3 or 4 racing games and some of those are like the ones i mentioned? sitting at the menu with all the events available in FH feels like looking at the arcade mode screen on GT2, you might do a race on there once in a while to try something out but it wasn't a game in and of itself, you really wanted to play the proper career mode and feel like you're progressing towards something as you go through the championships and earn a car you'd been waiting to buy for a week of gameplay and instead you feel like you've already finished the game and now you're just completing events to fill up the progress bar and unlock achievements, sometimes that's fun but not when that's literally the entire game :/
the progression is a huge problem, FH1 progression was amazing
@james conlin wdym?
I was half way through the game w the corvette c8 all you gotta do is just change tires every other race and I was on sim tires so yeah
@@squirrely5527 dark souls pvp type system haha only battle people your level but different skill
Something I dont really like myself for the offline experience is that whatever car you choose, your opponents will also be around the same performance as your car. I know that sounds fair but it also makes me feel like "why would I bother buy a better car"
Exactly
It's why i loved Gran Turismo, mixed class racing
The online issues early in the lifecycle of the game killed it off so quickly.
Yea like why is it when I drive close to other players they just disappear
Facts bro
Map sux bad
Bro Ong and then they take sooo long to fix it
There should be way more players on the map, why can't they have 100 player servers
Honestly, its my first Horizon game so I’m loving it. Things here and there I would personally change but overall I just wanna see the community happy. Nothing killed my enjoyment of the game more than realizing I was one of the only ones really having fun. I hope they start listening to their community before its too late.
Any horizon game would be a blast to play as a newcomer but when you have played pretty much the rest of the series you would understand
As my first horizon game, it's pretty mid. Literally nothing to do after some 72 hours of gameplay, they just give you all you need
Yeah, that is right! It is repetitive and lacks some layers of complexity
I've never played a Forza before... I'm the sucker.
@@virtualawakening2299 your just a weird guy then
I hate that they lock “Basic/normal” cars behind the festival playlist or auction house (AE86 or 22B Impreza)
I had the game in gamepass and I won the celica from like 2000s and now that I purchased the game on steam I lost all saved data and I cannot buy that celica anywhere, not even the auction house.
@@MajimaNightlord there are mods on pc that allow you to buy any festival playlist car from the autoshow.
(me who got the ae86 via wheelspins)
This is what I was saying, we play these games so we can have access to the cars we would want to drive in real life, yet they are locked behind IRL inspired auction houses so they become hard to buy again. I missed the celica and I still want it.
@@aayobruv yes that’s exactly what I’m saying, I 100% agree
Played Forza Horizon back in the day, loved it, now I have it again and it's just as fun as I remembered
i heard that game has more barriers that you cant go across the map
@@K3ntucky123 yea it’s not 100% open world like FH2 and up, there are barriers along the roads. So you can’t just cut across a field to get somewhere.
it doesn’t feel like a festival anymore! I think that’s what they’re missing in the games now. Small little features like getting a wristband to show progression and driving to the tents to start a race. It felt alive! The new ones don’t!
@@K3ntucky123 the best part was that.

Less time attacks pushed as story mode

Or even the next dlc

Forza horizon 1 had THE BEST soundtrack 😊😊
@@darrenstango9376 True!
You have a very good point about the progression here! Usually with expansions they test out new features to put in the next game, so with the hotwheels dlc having progression it could be put into fh6! Lets cross our fingers
@@KurumaDesigns you are actually right. Here's hoping
Actually The festival playlist needs a rework Add returning cars to the seasonal championships And the new cars to Point system
Theo has uploaded another banger. Keep it up mate. Supporting you everyday 🔥
Interior cam is shocking, no sense of speed and no adjustable fov is just ridiculous
Put many hours into Forza games and now they're just stale, boring hollow games
fh4 was my first forza game and i honestly loved it, the progression was pretty good to keep me playing for a long time, then i got fh5 which is great, it improved alot of the problems with fh4 but at the same time, i got incredibly bored, incredibly quick
I literally bought fh5 to hear the viper engine like it should sound lmao
4 was the forza that got me back into the series.
5 i enjoyed a lot but its gotten boring. The game takes longer than GTAO to load & it black screens when u finna load in,
the map just looks bland & dull & the same all the time compared to horizon 4, spring looked so good, winter was nice too except for the poor handling in 5 theres a winter season but it looks the same as the other ones. The festival playlist is just the same thing over & over. would like to see something like crew 2 motorpass & canyons like the ones from carbon
I remember how part 1 and 2 felt
Especially part 1 where you went to a festival had to do races to progress
New horizon games give you to much at the beginning
It's not like you have to do something
And it does not have the same vibe as the first 2 games
I don't want to be the boss of the festival, i want to be part of it
And what makes it really boring ->
Almost no visual customisation
I think the game would be better if there was more “standard/civilian” cars available to drive . I understand people don’t enjoy “slow” cars but I feel that it would create a more realistic element to the game
Problem is its an gamepad game so they focused more on speed and immersion of going fast and only high classes achieve that. I remember when Test drive unlimited had great implementation of driving "modes" where you could activate "hardcore" mode and cars behave completely different and harder to drive. I would like this implemented for experienced forza drivers to really see fun even in lower class cars.
ong bro if they added a tesla and prius
Can you imagine a 2003 Corolla? Lmao that would be so funny though
Exactly what I think. That's where gran Turismo excelled at in their past games.
The worst thing in my opinion is not being able to disable things like speed zones or drift zones, I don't like the space it takes up on the screen and ghosts my car if I want to just enjoy myself driving around.
I would love to see more car customisations, like interior colors or led lights under the car.
Yh wish it was more like in gta where u can fully customise it with liveries, body kits, accessories etc
I 100% agree with pretty much all your points, Theo. I’m glad someone made a video like this.
We also need more customization options, hoods, exhausts, bodykits, fenders, side skirts etc!!! A really good and long story line to play will be a good idea! I agree with you on the festival races, i got bored of them. Not something excited to play any more. 🤷🏻♂️
I picked up The Crew 2 a couple of days ago. Adding boats and planes really freshen up the open world racing formula for me.
So sad driving a boat in GTA 4 is more enjoyable than driving any car in The Crew 2
Crew 2 great game
@@dybixs1400 what the hell are you smoking?
Driving in The Crew 2 is bad and that's a red flag for a driving game
@@Ridoou yea but if you change pro settings it get better
They don't have enough cars from the 90s and 2000s.
Rims should be able to be made smaller and tier profiles should be customizable
I feel like I've been playing the same game for years now. Horizon needs a big change
*I honestly haven’t played Horizon 5 ever since it came out.*
I dont blame you Same here i would occasionally jump on like the extreme e series But after that i stopped
And also for the love of all that is holy please don't give us a Mk5 Supra as a starter car, like, give a Golf or a Civic or at most some older muscle car and have some real progression, like, make the player unlock the car classes or something by doing races in the lower ones first, various types at that to encourage variety, like I never got into the dirt racing parts of the game that well because I wasn't forced to and the road racing was easier.
fh5 just needs that nfs heat costumization and more content and its fixed
I've played since FH1. I would like them to move towards the old horizon feeling:
- Start at the bottom and have to work your way up car classes.
- Win to get fixed rewards - or a lottery between similar rewards - small win: you get clothes.. tournament win: you get an A-class classic racer
- Remove the one-armed-bandit style loot boxes - this does not belong in skill games.
- Less cars available from the start so weekly wins can be "new" cars (at least to that game)
- Difficulty level based wins/rewards (like in Blizzard Mountain) where it can actually be hard to get the top reward.. but you can still progress in the game by getting a lower tier win.
I got bored quickly because you just get cars thrown at you, don't think I ever bought a car because of how many I got free.
I like the game very much! It's also only the first 5 hours i've played but all the small details makes the game so good.
I'd really love to see a remaster of the first Horizon game. I haven't even played it (I've only played 2, 3 and 5) and it just would be a great return to form. Expand the map out more, bring in some never before seen cars with a strong story and post-game progression. I think we all would want that most of all
Forza Horizon 1 did get upgraded for newer consoles.
Running from the cops was fun longer and the challenges in crew 2 kept me going longer than Forza did!
crew 2 is soo good, the graphics is kind of bad but reasonable. i bought in july 80% sale on ps5 and it is so worth it
You should probably do this with Gran turismo 7 ngl with a bit of Rx8 footage in the background
why? i have fun with gt7
@@randomturkyt I did too, but I gotten bored of it after awhile which sucks. Also I feel like this would be a good idea to go with this video
I could be SOOOO much better.... God, this game needs enthusiasts and NOT PGG.
I love Forza but best open world? Midnight Club LA >.
My 2 cents
3 was so much better then 4 though
@@ralcolfwolfcoon8207 agreed I put more hours on 3 than 4 and 5 combined
hell, even MC2 and 3 DUB edition are worth playing more then forza horizon 4 and 5
I personally need some kind of competitive online scene / tournaments
I hated that your given 3 fast cars at the start I perfer starting in shit boxes and working up to get faster cars
Agreed.
And that's why forza motorsport is better
My main gripe is that there's no ranked PvP mode like the previous games
In the Horizon series I feel like they went the Motorsport route in terms of content since the third Horizon entry…
It‘s really frustrating to see how long term fans have been jumping off the series because there‘s so little new ideas added. I can‘t stress it enough that that‘s not the way they should continue, they HAVE to bring the original excitement back we felt with Horizon 1 and 2. What we‘re feeling now is having to get the game to give the series „one more chance“ just to leave it to collect dust after a month…
The only thing holding us in the series is the FOMO effect and the wish of the new entry to be better…
The fact that they‘re recycling car models and putting them in paid content really is the biggest punch in the face a real fan like me and many others can get for holding on to the series…
We wish they do something different but they won’t and we all kwon that but if by some miracle they do something different and what we the players want in a forza game then I’ll take back this statement.
I'd like to stop racing against Ford focus almost every race I do. In my Bugatti here comes flying past.... Ford focus...

Thank you Pants. Exactly how I feel about the playlist.
Don't know what you are talking about. I play every Forza Game at least for 2 years mostly 3 since 2008 😅 But thats just me 😛
I miss horizon 1-3, 4 and 5 really doesn't have the feel it's just not the same anymore 😔
Forza needs to stop making games they should keep updating motorsport 7 and horizon 5
I can't even tell you how agreeable this video is....
*The problem with Horizon (and open world games in general) is that there is TOO MUCH TO DO!*
*And to people who disagree:*
*1. Is Horizon the only game you play?*
*2. Do you guys have a job or go to school?*
*3. Gaming isn’t your job. You’re not a content creator/streamer. You don’t need to have a game that has no end.*
*4. Ever heard of a completionist? There’s nothing to complete in a never ending game.*
That is absolutely not the problem
the only problem is getting cars you can get like a bugatti at first wheel spin or the op sesto instead of starting with a min cooper and end up with a koenigsegg jesko...
That's not the problem whatsoever.
If you’re a completionist, okay a game meant to be completed.
the hot wheels expansion was a step in the right direction but its like putting a plaster on a cut to the juggular
Theo asking me to get in his van is last thing I expected.
(Except for Ferrari, I heard Ferrari won't just sell you the latest Ferrari unless you have had a Ferrari or a few Ferraris before)
the new camera wiggle is great theo!
I'm sad that fh5 is basically a copy and pasted fh4, nothing new really, no progression, no proper housing, still a tiny world with a tiny 1 way highway. just bad.
most important thing are the cars. there are over 500 cars in the game, yet we use maybe 10 of them. races MUST have more restrictions. drivetrain restrictions. horsepower restriction. minimum weight. tire selection. aero restrictions, suspension restrictions. etc etc. this is what the game misses. diversity
what killed my hope is that Theo still has hair
I just want a game like forza horizon but has the handling of assetto corsa/iracing on wheel
Recently I've come back to FH4, and it feels more alive than FH5
where do i start?
RECYCLED CONTENT

Still no VR support
No decent engine swaps
Crap car sounds *still*
No really good body mods, plus the removal of rocket bunny.
Old car models

No custom Tyre writing like Nitto, Toyo or Falken
No RAYTRACING despite all promotional material containing it
Buggy multiplayer.

Sorry. Short version: "FH5 has quite a few issues.")
I started with FH4 and suspected (correctly) that FH5 would be less engaging and the same game in a different place.
I'm not bored of it at all. There is always more races to do, cars to work on, and more adversaries to humiliate.

I play Horizon series way more now.
Pov : 700h pf forza and just a bit bored but not that much 💀
For me, there are a few issues:
• I got a supercar gifted to me immediately after I started playing. No progression, no striving for the goal of buying it, just a Mercedes AMG One straight from the off. The game needs to give us a tiny amount of cash at the start and force us into the low-powered cars before we progress to the more powerful ones.
• I find myself doing the weekly Playlist challenges to make sure I have every car but lately it feels like a chore just to hit the points target to win the car that’s just going to sit in the garage
• Releasing cars from the previous games as “new” cars
• The Extreme E cars - for the first time I didn’t feel like I needed to win those cars; once I had one I’d basically got the lot
• Those Toyota pickup trucks on the car pass.
Exactly that’s pretty much what’s happened to the Call of duty series
