I think they are planning SOMETHING
I would love to see:
- Smaller roads (less wide)
- Proper speed effects (blur, fov, camera movement)
- Enhanced camera movement: specifically interior view
- Proper Progression/ More difficulty to get expensive cars
- More story/interactions
- More enphasis on fans and influence.
- Not a bigger map, but one that provides interest for everyone: cities, mountains, winding, highway, tight, wide, etc.
I really liked 4 because the map and races would drastically change depending on the season. Also yeah, we need some smaller roads. Imagine a tight curvy road on a cliffside that overlooks a town and a forest, or maybe a beach.
Keep that blur away from me 🤣 I don't experience any blur at 150 km/h IRL, and I sure as hell don't need it driving at 50 km/h in games..
Blur should always be an option imo.

the issue wasn't just stale updates and features..
When they were all still within the company not only did we get minimal features but we also got cars nobody asked for and/or rehashed cars from the last game. most of it wasn't new. They didn't even listen to the community at the time. They were beyond tone-deaf.
And every car they release sounds nothing like the car in person , if anything they just make every car sound exactly the same..
You know there's only so many cars that exist...200 cars isn't enough? How many cars do you need????
@@KaosDeathLord You're missing the point, most of the cars that released in updates for the first year, when the people that now are in Maverik Games were still in PG, were either recycled from the last game or cars that nobody were asking.
The issue wasn't the number of cars added in that year (and the point of Forza Horizon is having as many and diverse collection of cars as possible), the problem was that a lot of them could've easily been added on release.
@@KaosDeathLord *NEW* cars. It doesn't matter of it's 200 extra cars. If you're gonna release a new game in the franchise it should have new cars, but the majority of them weren't new before they all left. Most of it was from previous titles, which, I don't have a huge issue with, but It gets tiresome when for 3 games in a row they release the same cars over and over and over again. They did this with FH 3 near the end, fH 4, then FH 5.

Still in development, that's where it is. They will need that extra time to make it completely new and polished, after all.

I really do hope it's a truly new game. I'm going to lose it if I boot it up and see the same Silvia S15 model we've had since before the first Horizon, and we still can't put spacers on the E36.

because from past years, they've released one every 2-3. 2024 would've been the next one. now that it wasn't shown, clearly they're still working on it.
This year? Absolutely not. They would have shown it in their Xbox showcase, it’s a first party popular franchise there’s no way they’ll shadow drop it this year.
It’s most likely 2025 which is the biggest gap between games we’ve had. It’s also going to be for current gen only so I don’t mind them taking more time but at the same time we don’t want another Forza Motorsport experience.

EDIT: new M5 will be coming to the mobile game CSR2 so it's unlikely to be the cover car since it'd have to be something exclusive. Bugatti Chiron successor is more likely. But I still say Germany.

i think a big problem nowadays is just the constant newer gen technology and software and with the amount of content games these days have you just don't have the time to make the perfect game before the next big thing happens. Imagine properly making a game using all new technology and guess what a new graphical wonder came out time do redo everything or needing a new engine.
Where's the new gen? Current gen consoles are 4 and a half years old at this point... The console refresh cycle hasn't got shorter at all.

was talking to some guys on discord and one of them said a week before the xbox showcase devs were spotted scanning singapore. If that's true we have a location and 2025 at the earliest with a more realistic date being spring 2026

FH5 is playable offline, i tested it myself. You have access to most of the game, but Festival Playlist looks different (you get wheelspins instead of cars), other players' eventlab creations are not visible and pretty much anything multiplayer related is disabled. Other than that, you have access to pretty much everything else

Bought the Forza 6 for about $27.99 it was kind of goofy at first, but worth it
I’m expecting a trailer or at least the official announcement of fh6 this year. But honestly I wouldn’t mind at all if fh6 takes a whole year longer than fh5 did, to take more time to add stuff, considering how empty and dead it’s map felt. It started to feel lonely after less than a year of playing fh5 when i was done all missions and races. 2 years later and every time i free roam in the map i feel like I’m lost in some Godforsaken remote part of Mexico with a straight up disappointing city lmao☠️ I didn’t feel like that with fh4. Idc if fh6 takes a whole decade to make, just pls be better than fh5 or ima just reinstall fh4 instead or try crew motorfest or just straight up wait for gta6😅
Forza physics are what make it a great game. It's more arcade-like but still has enough sim to make it challenging. You don't need a wheel which is the big selling point. The graphics engine is also impressive running high frames on old hardware.
If FM8 is anything go off FH6 will be shit by having a revolving door of devs. Most likely they will use FM8 engine that is in need alot of love.
The delisting of FH4 could mean something
I just want an open world racing game set in Japan with lots of touge, but I doubt Horizon will ever be that game. The devs and casual masses want the games to be filled with lots of long roads that you can hit high top speeds on. I want the game to feature lots of interesting and technical touge routes. Horizon 5 has 1 touge, for example, and that touge was where I spent ALL of my time on that game.
I want lots of touge in my open world racer, but I doubt that will ever happen because the masses just wanna go fast.
Many believe that FH6 will be in Japan, I think biggest reason is that MS was expecting more from Test Drive like many players did didn't want to release in similar time. I do agree size will be smaller, Mexico is more than 4 times bigger than Japan. I hope they will give us something like Midnightclub +Tokyo drift.
Also, to take in the fact that any people will want more cars, so that will need more people to re-build the "vanilla" edition with more cars.

FH6 is not coming in 2024. Common sense tells you it would have been at the Xbox Showcase. Even a short teaser. No. 2025, at the earliest? I would not be surprised if it's Q4 2025, closer to 2026 just to get out of the way of GTA6? By the way, you overestimate how much GTA6 supposedly effects Forza, and other racing games. Racing game fans will play GTA6, but it's NOT a racing game for hardcore racing game fans. All racing games can exist along side GTA6 because they're completely different in every respect and focus on one thing.
yeah also for newer forzas, they always announce them when they run out of updates for the current horizon, so if FH5 will get less updates or no updates at all it would mean that a newer horizon is getting closer and would get announced soon. But FH5 still gets updated regularly.
@@Pchelekk Everyone seems to be forgetting that they are working on the Fable Remake, planned to release in 2025. With less than 500 employees, it's highly unlikely that they are able to fully work on 2 AAA games at the same time. Fable will obviously have priority while a part of the team is maintaining and updating Horizon 5. The amount of people left to work on a new Horizon game will be very few. Unless both games are supposed to be mediocre at best. Just for comparison, Bungie (Destiny) has around 600 and Dice (Battlefield) more than 700 employees and they only work on one title at a time while maintaining their current title. At least for the most part with some exceptions in the past. So realistically speaking, with the added difficulties of adapting to a new game engine, Forza Horizon 6 will still take years to release if it's supposed to be good and improve on made mistakes. Otherwise we can expect the same lack of improvement and innovation all over again.
@@Brandon0406 You're right, I've also heard that they are splitted as 2 teams (one doing fable and the others doing horizon). The issue with Horizon is that as you said at the end ; if it releases close to previous titles, it won't be an improvement from the last Horizon and just the same thing in a different form. Unless they change their way of making new Horizons, but that would take more time to work on.
Seeing that Forza Horizon 5 was basically just a Forza 4 copy, I want them to spend at most a decade on Forza 6. People are not giving these devs enough time to cook.
my guess is that because fh5 is probably the last of horizon on the xbox one they are gonna go all out on the new engine graphics and physics

To be honest. Racing games stopped being dominant in the early 2000's. We need a story to be kept at bay. Forza story sucks, new NFS stories suck, Heat recovered and now with Unbound it failed again.
The physics system of horizon 5 is perfect - literally the last thing they should be messing with - motorsport physics are terrible

Id like germany, or a eastern europe because theres mountains and culture and ling highways, offroad, and tall cities, but ofc the map will never be that large bc forza is scared of leaving xbox one

FM23 is a track focused game. Try on wheel and the physics are super detailed. It’s not supposed to be a open world 1000 car game
FM is great in many ways. Way better than 5-7, even though Forza 3 and 4 is arguably better. They do need to get a better car list though. At least start adding new cars to help keep it fresh. I give them props for the Fbody's in FM, but in the poor physics having FH5 I have a Terminator, GEN2 Lightning, Raptor R, a freakin F350, and Ram Power Wagon, I just got the Mustang DH, in FH5 you can get a GMC Sy/Ty, a S650 Mustang GT, Trackhawk, GC SRT8 Tundra TRD Pro Silverado Trail Boss, etc. They do need to give both games a C6 Z06, but they got rid of it. FH5 also gets you a S197 GT500. Horizon also has a better wheel selection, plus a lot of FM's new races are just undesirable for most players. The physics on FM are much better than FH5, but are packing in some other areas.
@@JROC734 half the ppl complaining only play on controller w all assist on. This is not meant to be played like a horizon arcade game. Try on wheel and actually putting fast lap times down you will see the ffb is next level on fm23

I was at Brands Hatch, and there was a sort of announcement about some sort of discount on a tire brand, and in the end, they mentioned that you can get these tires in the "new Horizon Festival". Yup thats what the announcement said. I gotta go back and listen to it again.

As for the location of the new horizon. I think the best play is to go back to Colorado. Bring the franchise back to it roots. The horizon series reminds me of what happened to the fast and the furious series, thing just got to crazy. Horizon 1 with a more open map would be amazing
Im cool with them needing as much time as possible. We've literally had the same game since FH2.
FH6 will be held back till the next gen Xbox decision is made as in are they making a next gen or not ,I think Microsoft don't want to rely on this gen software for the release of new hardware.

The Japanese scene is not suitable yet, because if you want to express Japanese characteristics, you must add a lot of man-made buildings or even create a large city. However, man-made objects are not like nature, which can be copied, pasted, and arranged randomly. Each building and each widget takes up independent resources, which will inevitably increase storage space and system load significantly. In reality, the details of games with a large number of buildings and large cities are far inferior to those of the FH series, otherwise the hardware cannot bear the load.
It'll still be in November as in this November...you'll see a show in September after Sony unveils the PS5 PRO which is also coming in November...It is not coming in 2025 as like a lot of other games will avoid GTA VI completely..and
Horizon would never ever launch in March or April..always a holiday release..they have a lot of stuff that wasn't shown at the show..they have a huge presence at Gamescon this year...Yeah you'll see it in mid September
With it being the first horizon since 2 not being released on xbox one they probably taking as long as they can in development and taking full advantage of series x, especially if the map is a big city like japan.

Tbh the game hasn’t changed much since fh2 other than maybe the eliminator and the track editor. They’re better off just taking a few extra years off a new installment and just push out car pass and map dlc’s (if we’re being honest this is the only new content in the game anyways compared to fh5)
Gonna be the same old Forza game, with the same old issues and the same management refusing to listen to community feedback. Devs on short contracts, no major changes, no creativity, just very clinical forced "FUN".
