  • Not at all prepared for Erzberg, but I still have unfinished business there and since this is the year for unfinished business (Hellas and now Erzberg), I figured we'd give it a proper go, this time on a 300! I got me a new 2022 TE300i Husqvarna and decided to quickly throw a build video together to show you what I will be using and how I prepared it. Hope you like it, Episode 2 will be training....coming next!
    Thanks for watching everyone and please do leave your comments below. We appreciate your time. Lyndon and Team.

    So great to see a rider who really know the bikes as well. That shows the extra level of dedication you put into this which is top notch. Love it.

    Good tip for the chain adjusters. My husaberg ones were seized. I had to spray with lube, thread in, thread out and repeat until it finally came out without stripping the thread. Ran a tap to clean it and new bolts with anti seize.
    Going to be a great series! But any event you do is great to watch.

    Hi Lyndon, great session and a pleasure to see your detail in working on the bike. Please consider the following which you did not mentioned but IMHO critical for hard enduro of Erzberg or Romaniacs - throttle body guard, lower radiator hose protection both sides to stop pinching against the engine case, heavy duty clutch cover with added oil capacity, dual rim lock on the rear wheel. All the best. Stay safe.

  • @Isha048

    Thank you so much Lyndon! It is always a pleasure, at least for me, to see how to build a bike even if unfortunately I don't have any. When I had a bike there wasn't any video, probably because the Internet wasn't so popular and I'm not sure that RUclips existed at that time. Anyway I enjoyed your video, pity that at a certain moment you speeded up the video, probably to not bore us, but in my case I could follow a video about building a bike for hours, but maybe someone else would be annoyed. However it was great and I look forward to watching your videos about the Erzberg. Please, take care of yourself, I know you're a great rider, but the Erzberg is a really tough and dangerous race.

    Superb job! it's crazy, every day, I watch 2 or 3 videos in the evening, once the children are in bed, quiet, not a sound in the house 🤣. I love what you do, the team, it's crazy! The dream for me to do a rally. My next motorcycle will be a Ktm 990 or 950 adventure, to replace my Yamaha Fjr.
    I even ordered a t-shirt this morning for the support of the team! Come on, kisses from France ✌️✌️

    I find it really fascinating how they can put so much different adjustments and "intelligence" to shocks. Which are only mechanical contraptions. How they achieve all that slow and fast stuff and bibs and bobs is mind boggling.

    Excellent explanation to the cone valve in the fork! Hard hitting is exactly the downside of a shim valve - but they can be improved as well of course ;-). (Downside of cone valves is - they do not have the simple infinite tuning options as shims have)

    damn i want you to go through and 'build' my bike !! your attention to detail and insight is awesome , thank you !! man that "W.P.-Explorer-PRO" suspension is sure pretty !! i tried hard to talk myself into stepping up for those units for my Norden 901 but just cant spend that much , ordered the Tractive (Touratech) Extreme shock and fork drop in units , half the $ in USD ($7+k vs $3.5k) man i am jealous i wish i could have stepped up for that suspension set up its supposed to be just magical on the heavier Adv bikes

    Hey Lyndon, you mention around 08:00 that you don't use rimlocks on the rally bikes. Could you say a few words on why not?

    • @lyndonposkitt
      @lyndonposkitt  2 года назад +1

      Because at speed they overheat the mousses and they are not needed with the rally mousses as the effective pressure is higher.

    • @lyndonposkitt

      How does a hub burn to a rim? Isn’t there a spoke in-between them? Never had any issue, way better than stock with nothing!
