Looks like so much fun! I'm coming to WashU this fall and I'm trying to convince my family that St. Louis isn't just the dirty, crime-ridden city they think it is and can actually be a pretty cool place. Definitely going to take them here! Thanks for posting!!
You forget the dungeon slide. It's pretty secluded and is about 2 stories but is almost vertical and has a bump at the end. You can find the stairs to it on the 1st floor by the whale
Just returned from my first visit to City Museum. Absolutely loved it! I like the idea of your video demonstrating all the slides, but my experience couldn't have been more different from yours. Did you dip your jeans in some sort of glue before you tried these? I was wearing dickies pants (cotton/polyester blend) and absolutely flying down those slides!
The guy going down these slides definitely has some bad pants for sliding or something because i have been down all these slides & have gone a lot faster.
Thanks for the great video! If you want to increase your sliding speed, it's best to wear slick pants, not jeans. My friends and I always wear slick basketball shorts or long pants made of a poly/cotton blend (like workout pants) if it's cold. Your speed will increase a lot!
Does anyone know where I can find a list of the slides with pictures or something? I got a Slide Inspector shirt and I can't even check stuff off because I don't know the names of any of the slides. :(
St. Louis is only 103rd in crime. The myth that it is 3rd is just an old wive's tale. You can show them the explanation if you look up stlworldclasscity (dot) com and click "crime."
+Susan Owerei I wore a skirt with leggings underneath. If you have to wear jeans you can tie a sweater or sweatshirt around your waistline sit on to make you go faster.
I was there with jeans and I agree. We are going back this fall, what is the fastest way to go down? I can try the leggings and skirt but I'm a dude so it might look funny. BUT I HAVE THE NEED FOR SPEED. I also heard jackets? Bring a jacket to slide on. Hmmmmm
+Brian Bass haha 😂 yup you would probably get a lot of stares if you wore a skirt. If I remember right one of my friends tied a windbreaker type jacket around his waist and he went pretty fast.

cool stuff
The 10 story slide was amazing. When I went down it, I sat on a sweater and just flew.

the music is pretty fitting for that place. very confusing, chaotic, minor chords fit.
Sethemiah Ya at first I was like wow what a choice of music but it ended up working out well
you have to be wearing the right kind of pants for the best speed
I love the straight down one
Most people don't have the energy to try and climb to them.
The 10 story slide is my favorite it is really scary when you get to the top to get on the slide though 😂
I went there with my some if my class for a trip and it was soooooooo much fun

I came from Minneapolis and went in may

I went today, and a few of the slides were closed.
Also, are there typically long waits to go on stuff (like the corkscrew slide, for instance?) Thanks!
Did you go Down the five story slide or the ten story slide
I'm going there today
