Thanks Kyle for being open about fear/anxiety and how you are coping with it! I am far away from vert skating but I want to practice higher drop ins at ramps and bowls and this video helps a lot!

This so such a great video Kyle! I'm going to have access to a vert ramp for the first time and trying to prepare to drop in on a surfskate.

Great video… thanks for the motivation Kyle. I’ve been through this fear several times. Will apply some of these tips next time I go to Ramp again

Haven't skated in years, and haven't dropped in for even longer... but the fear is real and after every break from skating it comes back... the pov shots bring it all back again! haha. I've only ever skated small pools and stuff too, not these heights. Congrats on working through the fear. Wild!

i was watching, but mostly listening, and this helped me a lot. I'm just relating this to general anxiety. Thanks, Kyle

Whoa holy crap. This seems like the scariest thing ever. My buddy and I made a deal that both of us would drop in on vert if we ever encountered one. So happy that I haven’t ran into one yet lol

straight up I am still TERRIFIED of this monster. I dont skate it enough to have it consistently since I overthink everything in my life lol. I wouldnt pressure you to try, but if you wanted to just pump on it and get a feel, it'll be here in april/may 😜

thank you for your video, actually I've been working on overcoming my fear of dropping in, in general (but on the ramp especially), I just can't seem to bring my back foot on the bord and it's killing me, but, I'm working on it, training almost everyday and your tips are very helpful, thank you!

Dude great video! Thanks for the tips. I just backed down on the Kona ramp! 😭 So mad at myself. Now I gotta drive back to Florida and be the lion! 🦁

It's scary for sure! and man I dont blame you for backing down from Kona, that ramp is a bit beaten up lol. But if you go back, you got this!! I appreciate the sub, hoping to get back on the creation grind soon!

With dropping in i've noticed that you pretty much have a 100 percent chance of landing it if you slam the hell out of that board against the ramp. Pretend like there's a giant black widow on the ramp.

You have to get a fakie ollie first. Then when you get better at doing a fakie ollie, you will start to get little table top fakie ollies. Then when you drop in on vert, you just tell yourself that you are coming back in from a small table top fakie ollie. That is how I did it. If you are not making any contact with the coping and then just dropping in, yeah of course it is going to be scary.
