  • If you notice in my last gardening video, I gave my limelight hydrangeas a good spring pruning, and I had a lot of good looking sticks from all of that. I wanted to use them for some sort of trellis for a container, so I did a bit of research and came up with my own "design" for some sort of climber. What am I planting in that trellis? Well, you are gonna have to wait for the next gardening video soon :)

Great job recycling garden waste into something decorative & functional! That turned out taller than I would have imagined - TFS.

Hey! Yes, I actually had to trim a few of those pieces because they were too tall, next year when I prune my hydrangeas I will make sure to do some "smart" cutting, that way I can save way more and make quite a few trellises... Thank you for watching!

Hi! I'm new to your channel. I am going to be planting a hedge of limelight hydranges along my back fence line, and that is how I came across your channel. I love the name! Maybe I will try this once they get big. I ordered tiny ones (quart size, I think), because that's what I can afford now, so I will need to be patient, lol.

+Alisha Worth oh once they get going they will get big in no time, this is the first year I tried this, now I know I can save and prune smart so I can get as many stems as possible. Patience is definitely not one of my gifts but the garden keeps teaching me 😂

Yes they do, they will be done when the season is over, thankfully, so they can go to my compose pile, next year when I prune my hydrangeas again, I can make another one... for free.
