Yes, it's a decent choice, although there's lots of good choices within 15 minutes of the airport. It's nice being close to the airport, especially with an early or late flight. ✈️
G'day BC mate , a comprehensive coverage of the accommodation options near Suvarnabhumi. I was extremely excited about the return of "What's in the fridge" and happily taken aback finding out all of those drinks were included in the price ! Amaranth for the win on this occasion I believe . How was the red velvet cake ? 👍🏼🍻🇦🇺
Hi SG. Despite the size of the belly I'm actually not an expert on cake. Red Velvet is one of the only ones I know. But it was a particularly good example I must confess! What's in the fridge was a real success. It was a struggle to drink it all, but sometimes you have to make sacrifices to get the videos out! Definitely a win for amaranth!
Thanks for this video. Because of it, I stayed at the Amaranth a few days ago and was very pleased. Got into BKK just after 11pm and quickly through immigration and baggage reclaim. The shuttle pickup was quick and efficient with only one other couple on the bus so only had to wait a few minutes. My room package didn't include the mini bar contents, but there was a vending machine for a much needed can of beer! Breakfast was good and I was the only one on the shuttle back to the airport the following morning. Will certainly use it again if time didn't allow a trip to the city.
Hey, Peter. I love reading comments like this because my idea is just to show places to people, so that if they like them, they can book themselves. And it's even better when I hear that someone else has had a good experience, and you obviously did! Many thanks for the feedback!
@Laz3rS1x Yes, the shuttle seems well organised. They seem to have 4 vans, so they've got plenty of capacity. Staff were helpful and seem well trained .
The Amaranth is really nice BC and the mini bar drinks were included that is unusual. It’s look well worth the 15 shuttle service to stay there. Novetal is nice too. The capsule and box room are handy but with no bathroom not for me cant be wondering around in my boxers to spend a penny 😂😂😂. Great Vlog again BC from a cloudy mild midlands on a Sunday it’s made my day 👌👌👌. Ps more than the double bubble I’m getting 🤭🤭🤭 take care my Mann
Thanks, Jimmy. The thought of either of us wandering through the terminal building wearing boxers and needing a leak should strike fear into the Airport Authorities! Whatever they were thinking to close the bogs near the box hotels, I can't imagine. The other two hotels are definitely options. Keep going with the double bubble plus, mate! 👍
My Suvarnabhumi hotel of choice is usually the At Residence. I usually just spend a few hours there before my flight out of Thailand, but it would be good for a full day as well (nice pool, good restaurant, etc). The price is usually under $50 USD and they have a shuttle, but it might be 150-200 baht for a 1-way trip
Enjoying your videos BC. Always looking for a good budget option for a late night arrival and the silver gold garden looks like an option. Would be interested to see a review on that.
Great of you to review it, Amaranth is my go to, a bargain for the quality and still very convenient shuttle ride. I love the pool area, usually I am the only person using it.
@GioMixMusic It was so quiet I'm not sure if it wasn't closed?! Would be a pleasant place to have breakfast because there's enough shade. I'll take my speeds next time for a swim! 🏊♂️
I'm pretty sure the lovely lady at 11:48 loved your cap, BC! The Amaranth seems to me an excellent choice for days when the Novotel is on a high price! The capsule and the boxtel: not interesting without a shower facility on premises.
Thanks, Alain. I do feel we made some sort of connection! And her skin was flawless! I'm not sure who was behind the decision to close the bathroom on the same floor as the box and capsule hotels. But it must have really hurt their businesses. That would be a deal breaker for me, anyway! Amaranth is a winner and the shuttle service seems to work well. The guys who recommended it were right! Thanks to them!
I have stayed in hotels like this in America, but sometimes it hard to define if its a real Airport hotel- and not just an ordinary hotel located near by, with a shuttle service? Your examples seems like good value. Cheers🙂
Cheers, Anders. I guess the Amaranth is an ordinary hotel focusing on the airport market and its location. Another thing they have there is extensive conference facilities. I guess that could be useful, especially with delegates flying in from other locations. Seems a well run operation and decent value to me 👍
Thanks BC. I would go to Amaranth nice comfortable pace for a connecting flight after 12-14 hours. Any suggestion for a stay in Bangkok for my return say 2 -3 nights.
Thanks. The Amaranth is a decent choice! Bangkok I'd such a huge place that's it's difficult to recommend without knowing more about what you like. But I've said in videos before that my favourite place is Sukhumvit Soi 11. So to start with I'd recommend there. ruclips.net/video/lr6tMbw2ii8/видео.htmlsi=Omq3d3chuckEoNjn ruclips.net/video/zsD4GSczSnk/видео.htmlsi=IT2aeTHUP5y9qW76 ruclips.net/video/RmCkpZoQmiw/видео.htmlsi=r4gguTfv-OZOLdbj
Good day from NYC. I have been searching for a decent hotel in Bangkok since I will be arriving at 6:30 pm on November 6th. I finally decided to book at Oriole Residence. I am paying around 40 us dollars for 1 night. I will be checking out on November 7 at 12 noon. I booked thru AGODA because it is a newer hotel, 15 minutes from the airport, and the reviews were positive. Any thoughts about the hotel?
Hello to NYC! I don't know that hotel, but it certainly looks interesting. The price seems reasonable and there's a shuttle to the airport so I think you've made a decent choice. I'm a big fan of new hotels, even though the rooms tend to be smaller. You can't go wrong, really! Enjoy your trip!
The box rooms look cosy, but with my bladder I would spend more time traipsing to the toilet than I would in the room!...Problem whilst you're sat on the toilet lol...I'm glad you managed to avoid getting married!
Needing a toilet during the night is a sign of maturity, that's my story, Mark. Never understand why you'd need a phone to reception or room service. Unless to say, "I'm stuck!" Pity the marriage room was closed, maybe next time!
600thb with breakfast Inc. shuttle, pool, gym... nice hotels fe. Silver gold garden and many others 10-15mins from airport... 2000thb is way tooooo much.
That amaranth with the amenities looks worth it. I killed a few hours in that boxtel once as I had a 6 am flight and didn’t book a hotel. It sucks that they don’t have a bathroom on the floor where the airport rail connector is. One time I had a late evening arriving flight and I was running to make the trains before the cutoff time and wanted to use the bathroom found there isn’t one and said I guess I have to hold it.
The lack of a bathroom near the box and capsule hotels would be a deal breaker for me. I need to able to take a leak without getting dressed to go outside!
I would never stay in one of those awful box / capsule type affairs. The Amaranth seemed the best value of the bunch, however the Novotel is definitely the most convenient and would probably be my choice if I got stranded at BKK.
Thanks, David. I think the box hotels might be ok for me IF they had a shower and toilet nearby. Without that, I don't think they'd suit me. I think the Amaranth would be my choice!
Thanks! I think Amaranth Hotel has the best value 😊👍 - It looked like there was quite a lot of hotel postings at the 2nd Floor Gate 5 corner - any of those hotels you can just walk up to and make arrangements? Let’s say I arrived at 0600 on the spot - any hotel I can get picked up, given breakfast when I arrive, hot shower & then sleep 6 hours/then checkout - for $100. Anyone offering that?
Really appreciate the Super Thanks. That's most kind. You're right there were many hotels picking up guests near gate 5. The only thing they said to me is you need to book in advance. So I phoned the Amaranth to tell them my arrival time and they confirmed my place on the shuttle So, if you can, I'd contact your chosen hotel with your flight number once you've booked it. Not all hotels will offer you 24 hours from when you arrive. So if you did arrive at 0600, then you would need to pre arrange with the hotel that you need to check-in at that time. I wouldn't recommend just going to the pick up point because they might not be able to help you. Better to sort it out in advance by email, phone or Line messages
I’ll certainly would stay at a hotel nearby the airport. Will consider the Amaranth

Thanks BC! My wife and I need to book a hotel near the airport for our return flight to the US. Now we are more informed! Cheers!
Good to hear! Well, you could do a lot worse than the Amaranth! It seems a good compromise between cost and convenience!
@ that’s the hotel I’m leaning towards. I definitely need a toilet and shower in the room! The convenient ride is a plus too!
@Laz3rS1x Yes, the shuttle seems well organised. They seem to have 4 vans, so they've got plenty of capacity. Staff were helpful and seem well trained .
Thanks, B.C I forgot about these options.
Lots of choice at or near the airport, PFI! Thanks!

Put the Amaranth in Soi Buakhao and I’d stay there for a month.
Looked real good 😊
I'll have a word with the owners, Mark! See what can be done 😃

Thanks for sharing. That sounds like a good deal! There's lots of choices in and around the airport 👍
Nice one again 👍
Thanks for your support! 👍

Thanks for the positive feedback! Someone else mentioned that hotel in the comments, so I've put it on the list to review. Keep watching! 👍
Great of you to review it, Amaranth is my go to, a bargain for the quality and still very convenient shuttle ride. I love the pool area, usually I am the only person using it.
Thanks for suggesting it, otherwise I wouldn't have known! I was shocked when I saw the pool area. It's a great area to chill but completely empty!
@@balloonchaser you can get food and drink service there - also can have breakfast there.
@GioMixMusic It was so quiet I'm not sure if it wasn't closed?! Would be a pleasant place to have breakfast because there's enough shade. I'll take my speeds next time for a swim! 🏊♂️
Plai and Herbs is a nice cheap option , stayed there once, under 3 miles from airport with good eateries around vicinity and a 7/11 round the corner.
Many thanks! Not one that I'm familiar with. 3 miles isn't far, and it's useful if there's places outside to eat . 👍
I'm pretty sure the lovely lady at 11:48 loved your cap, BC!

great job BC. No bathroom or window to open then use the empty drinking water bottle. Hope you had a bag for those fridge nickables.
Lucozade bottles, made for that job, BB! Strangely I only had to carry to 2 cartons of fruit juice back! Funny that! 😃
The box rooms look cosy, but with my bladder I would spend more time traipsing to the toilet than I would in the room!...Problem whilst you're sat on the toilet lol...I'm glad you managed to avoid getting married!

good value at The Aramath
Yes, absolutely. I agree.
