Grace, the lack of Hispanic viewers for "80 for Brady" probably has to do with the sport itself. American Football is only interesting to Americans. We hispanics have a different football to be excited about. And I can imagine Hispanic Americans being interested in other sports like Baseball or Basketball... more than American Football.
I find hilarious that Tar is always on the top ten on iTunes every week for a while and Grace never says a word about the movie that she will never see but denies that is successful at least on that chart jajaja. Im really interested on watching Titanic in theaters since when it came out I was 3 but still think they wont show that movie down here.

Exactly, as an Asian person, I come to enjoy a film no matter the color/gender. Representation is nice but shouldn’t be the driving force of a film. You can acknowledge it without forcing it. A good example is Alexis Blue Davis in Grey’s Anatomy. Not forced, acknowledges that he is trans and treating him just like any other character

We like The last of Us because here, we also play the game and it was as much of a success as it was all over the world. It is simple, if the show is good, we watch it. Plus we are in summer, schools will be on summer break until March so it is obvious there will be more people with free time to watch HBO.

Knock at the Cabin should have ENDED with the shot of the father and Wren standing in the rain. If you know you know, that last five or so minutes brought it down so much for me. For my money Dave Bautista is a goddamn movie star cuz he really knocked it out of the park.
There comes a point when a writer-director like MNS after a number of critical failures should realise that they don't need to literally write all of their movies! It's OK every now & again to simply direct a great script written by someone else! David Fincher has had an amazing career doing just that! Love that Bautista wants to be an actual actor that works with a number of interesting & challenging directors instead of being obsessed with being a relatively one-note Action Leading Man who can never lose a fight in his movies who may or may not have attempted to muscle in and take over a major movie studio :)
It makes that they're doing lower ticket prices. I think it was years ago when Steven Spielberg who floated the idea of having tickets prices for smaller/independent movies and regular prices for for big budget blockbusters. This could encourage more people to see smaller movies at a lower price and lead to better competition like with 80 For Brady. Also I saw A Man Called Otto and there was a lot more diversity in it than I thought there would be including a character who's transgender. So since the movie doing so well in the white and conservative parts of America, maybe some people will start to change their minds about the negative impressions they have about people who are different than them.
That shows a interesting, to say the least, work on the advertising department for the film. Here in Mexico, they showed a lot of scenes of the Mexican actors, and put them in all the posters and promos.
I also think you’re completely wrong about Hollywood needing to appeal to everyone. That’s part of Hollywood’s problem right now. You can’t please everyone all the time it’s impossible. They need to simply make good movies if not great and that is something Hollywood has rarely been able to do lately. Hollywood needs to not try to appease everyone instead focus on quality and people will come. Hollywood has lost the confidence of the audience. They need to get that back. And they can only do that by following the great filmmakers of the past and make great stories.

Knock At The Cabin was okay. That second trailer should've never come out though because it pretty much gave everything away. I assumed there would be the M. Night twist and it wasn't there. The ending fell very flat for me and my friend. I have the RunPee app so I knew there wasn't any bonus so it kind of stunk.
Just looked up tickets to see Avatar in Auckland NZ. $26 per adult, plus booking fees, plus 3D glasses. And then you have parking, food, drinks. Streaming sounds better all the time

In Brazil ticket prices have always been kind of cheap, even with inflation and the REAL fall in the last decade. Popcorn and transportation/parking are way more expensive.

I'm not sure where to find Apple content in Brazil. I never watch their films, because I can't find anywhere else. I'm signing Disney+ once a year, in December. It worked for me. I signed Netflix now in January, but I'm likely to extend my stay on Netflix for another month. But it won't be longer than that. HBO Max and Amazon Prime Video I sign all year, because these are cheaper (because of the initial promotion of HBO Max).

Finally saw Puss In Boots: The Last Wish in the UK (such a weird release date as half-term [the UK version of spring break] is still a few weeks away). I laughed out loud about five times, which was nowhere near enough for a comedy, but did appreciate the visuals, especially the lower frame rate during some of the action sequences. Definitely no desire to watch it again though.

Took the family to see Puss this weekend in the UK. Absolutely phenomenal. One of the best animations I've ever seen.

Knock At The Cabin was okay. That second trailer should've never come out though because it pretty much gave everything away. I assumed there would be the M. Night twist and it wasn't there. The ending fell very flat for me and my friend. I have the RunPee app so I knew there wasn't any bonus so it kind of stunk.
Picard has it's final season premiere next week and The Flash has it's final season premiering this week, that's what I'm waiting for.

Just looked up tickets to see Avatar in Auckland NZ. $26 per adult, plus booking fees, plus 3D glasses. And then you have parking, food, drinks. Streaming sounds better all the time
If you see a film once a year then watch that one
I’m in Australia and went to see avatar premium. It was $44 per ticket and worth every penny. Nothing can beat the movie experience for films such as those

If they focused on better storytelling, more people would want to go see movies because it would be a genuinely moving experience.
I still haven’t seen avatar. The nearest premium screens are a half hour away. An hour of driving, 3 1/2 hours of movie, and 1/2 hour of previews? For a mediocre story?
I haven’t seen it yet either. Not in a giant hurry. I will see it eventually. I’m mostly just interested in the visuals, than actually geeking out over the movie per se.

I saw Knock At The Cabin Door and I enjoyed it.
Correction - Box-office Mojo erroneously listed the Chosen as Season 3 Episodes 1-2. That came out last fall. This weekend was episodes 7-8, the season 3 finale.
Box office mojo fell off. Used to be great. Then it changed with Amazon.

Im a big M Knight fan, i did hate 'Old' though so i was hoping this would be better, especially as i heard its based on a very good book but now im unsure if i want to go and see it or not..plus 12 million is hardly great...i will still watch it with an open mind though as i said i love many of his films..

Hi Grace! Here in Brazil the theaters made an agreement to drop tick sales for all showings as well. I don’t know what I will watch but I know what I won’t: Shyamalan. I have been burned too many times by his movies. Edit: I’m hoping Universal drops a Mario trailer during Superbowl, the newest poster looked beautiful!
In Brazil ticket prices have always been kind of cheap, even with inflation and the REAL fall in the last decade.
Popcorn and transportation/parking are way more expensive.

Tickets at a low price point one drink two tickets icee and popcorn - 60 bucks with my 9 year old for Mario. I wonder why we stay home and cook out and have good night. Mahomes is a great QB and overrated. Henne replaced him vs Jags and went 98 yards for a TD. Mahomes took over a playoff team with a Hall of Fame coach. Guys like Burrow took over a dumpster fire with a no name coach and made coach and team relevant.

As for demographics: I'm gay and I won't see Knock at the Cabin because I'm not interested. I don't show up for movies because they have actors in it that share the same origin or sexuality, I only care about story and characters.

I Love the movies but there is so much to watch these days on TV and apps that we can now choose what we like instead of Hollywood choosing for us. I for one think it's a great thing, again I would Love historically accurate movies to be all the rage but that continues to be my hopes and dreams for Hollyweird

HBO Max and Amazon Prime Video I sign all year, because these are cheaper (because of the initial promotion of HBO Max).

Finally saw Puss In Boots: The Last Wish in the UK (such a weird release date as half-term [the UK version of spring break] is still a few weeks away). I laughed out loud about five times, which was nowhere near enough for a comedy, but did appreciate the visuals, especially the lower frame rate during some of the action sequences. Definitely no desire to watch it again though.
Yeah surprisingly funny but I wonder why they went so dark? I mean sure was a lot of disturbing themes in that.
