This is the third time I have watched the video, and I learn something each time! After trying EPP for myself a little bit, I come back to get questions answered. Tula just gets better and better ❤
You are AWESOME in teaching EPP. Thank You so much for making it easy for me to understand.
Tulas fabrics are so unique. You really have to unleash and be creative with these beautiful fabrics
Thank you so much. This was just what I needed. Thank you. Down to earth and real ❤
Tula is a quilting comedian, she just makes me smile because she never gives away the fact that she is not serious with her facial expressions. Love you.
I appreciate your honesty about wanting to impress people with minimal effort. ME TOO and it is so freeing to say it out loud❣️ I also love using polka dots and stripes in quilts. I have been machine piecing together quilts for a long time but I need something portable and I think EPP is it. I know that I am late to the game but I can't wait to start. Thanks for these tutorials! Oh my goodness, you are such a breath of fresh air. I love your humor and rational for the 'hack method' of cutting your fabric.
I love how you teach EPP with such common sense and a touch of humor!💕
This is the first time I've had the pleasure of watching Tula. I instantly fell in love with your methods. Can't wait to watch you in action again!
Tula makes me laugh. Her teaching style is refreshing, effective, engaging, and thorough. Thanks Tula!
At 74 my world has been rocked by the amazing Tula Pink and this tutorial. Wonderful !!!
UNBELIEVABLE!! Holy moly!! You are a SUPERSTAR for sure!! WOW!
How old was I when I learned to cut hexagons out of fabric with out cutting one at a stinkin’ time?? Today years old!!!!! I was the girl that you would have told to go sit outside and think about what you are doing.😂😂
I cut tons today and you set me freeeeee!!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽 My first EPP started today!
Love you and Angela Walters so much!!!!!!
I am 53 and I just found the quilting world! And boy am I glad I found You Tula! Thank you for being so you!
Me too, 53 and a newbie quilter!
Me too 54!
Absolutely the best instruction on English Paper Piecing.
OMG my quilting eyes have been opened!! 😍 Thank you for an amazing video. I'm off to scour the RUclipss for more Tula Pink wisdom!
Thank you! You are a great teacher. You could instruct a professor, professional all the way to a young child
Appreciate your time ❤
This is my first video watching Tula and I love everything about her! This is amazing!11
Just discovering EPP and this is like a Ted Talk for quilting. Absolutely amazing. I’m so glad these videos are saved forever.
Omg, I just about feel out of my chair when you said, “I want to make a lot of quilts before I die.” I’ve been thinking that same thing but at the rate I’m going, I’ll be lucky to get 10 m0re done.
Thank you so much for your comprehensive, informative, brilliant tutorial.
Tula Pink is a legitimate quilting goddess. She is an overflowing fountain of knowledge and humor and I love her so much!!
There best 40 minutes I've spent since being quarantined 👸🏻🦝🧵✂️
I have been watching soooo many of her videos!!! I just ordered the Tula nova pattern and templates...now to figure out what fabric to use!!!
i’ve just had about a billion lightbulb moments. This is hands down the most brilliant and easy to digest tutorial ever.
Such a brilliant tutorial Tula can you buy this pack for paper piecing? I am in Scotland.
Hello Lynn! The pack is available here: www.fatquartershop.com/tula-nova-quilt-pattern-and-complete-piece-pack
It is what I call “rich” tutorial. It’s worth way more than the time it takes to watch it. You should consider taking notes, too.
Fat Quarter Shop
I
@@Happybidr I've watched it a few times and gotten more out of it each time. It's brilliant.
You are THE best teacher...ever! You provide lots of options and explanations for each one! Thank you!!!!
Tula is the quilter I never knew I needed in my life! She is hilarious and so talented!
Same!
"anyone that judges your quilt from the back....isn't a real friend" LOVE THIS! I am enjoying watching this video! Thank you for posting :)
Great teacher!
This has to be the best, most thorough, easy to understand paper piecing and design tutorial I seen. Tula Pink videos are a real joy to watch
This woman is phenomenal in everyway. Can’t stop watching.
Eye-balling, shortcuts, sweet stripe tricks, hacks - OH MY!!! Best justification for working smarter not harder that I've heard this week! Going hard on soft textiles - I love it! Now, if I could only tame my obsession with those darn tricky diamonds, my life would be better - I complicate my self most of the time. Thanks for the ears jingle...
This is an awesome video! I think I just fell in love with Tula Pink!
omg -- I don't even paper piece (YET!) but I feel like I actually know something about it now. What an absolute joy to watch and I learned so much that I'm not quite as intimidated to try it.
Hooray! We believe you can do it too, Kathy!
You are as phenomenal a teacher as you are a quilter! Thank you!!!!
You are hilarious! Love your tips and tricks and attitude. Go Tula Pink. Just found you and I’m glad. Thank you.
Love how Tula balances level of effort with ROI. My girl!
You are such a great teacher. I have done a little paper piecing but I have been searching RUclips to see if anyone had more tips for me. I learned more from you than from Sue Daley.
I learned more from your program than I have in a long time. Thank you so much. You are so enjoyable and funny to watch.
Tula...again...you taught us all SO much...thank you !
'I've got a lot of quilts to make before I die!' I don't know how many times I've said this, laughed out loud. Brilliant tutorial, thanks Tula for an easy to follow method to EPP , common sense approach to not wasting time and the great sense of humor.
Tula is the Goddess of quilting. Her attention to detail Is masterly and her techniques and explanation thereof, are perfectly understandable to any level of quilter. I love her sense of humour.
Thank you Tula. I don’t quilt, but my Grama in the hills of Kentucky did. When we visited down there on vacation, Ioved looking and sleeping with her quilts. They were made with feed sacks and old used clothing so it made a truly wonderful piece art, not fussy but very colorful and eye appealing. It was a treasure when she let Mama boy one (very frugal) to take back home in Detroit. My sister Patsy was the only girl in our family to go to “quilting” class and really make a quilt for my parents...it was a gift, so she did not charge! I have loved watching your videos and admiring your work. Very professional. But I truly love old Granny’s completely hand made quilt. Only scissors, paper cut-out, needle and thread. A real labor of love! Thanks.💕
Tula is a hoot!! Love her sense of humor & not to mention her amazing talent !
If you ever retired from designing fabric (as if) you would be an extremely talented stand up comic. You make me smile. You make me laugh, but most importantly, you make total sense!! 😘
Love love love your advice. Thank you
I'm thoroughly impressed. I never thought I'd be interested in trying English paper piercing. You have changed my mind. Thank you.
Tula does fantastic English paper piecing tutorials!
OH my goodness! i need you in my life!! Such a real and lovely human!!
Wonderful teacher, love the "minimum effort maximum impact" approach.
All this time I never thought I would do an EPP project because it was just too hard! After watching this video I'm so ready to start. Tula is a goddess. I'm can tell EPP is my next obsession!
Love your sense of humor! Who thought quilting videos could be so entertaining, while also incredibly clear and informative. Thank you!
Love your sense of humor !
Thank you so so much ! Tula, you probably know this by now (but it’s always nice to hear), YOU are the best. I love your personality and how you own your knowledge.
My favorite, "If I see you tracing each piece, I am going to send you out to the hallway to think about what you've done!" ROFLOL!! Awesome tips and video! Thank you. I love your methods!
Yes! I laughed so hard I startled my kid when she said that 😂😂
OMG - Your sense of humor needs a studio audience! And the EPP tutorial is the best. I love when instructors give you every reason why you can learn a new skill - Thanks Tula 😁
I have no desire to English Paper Piece a quilt ever but I love this video and I love Tula's attitude!!
This is not relevant to anything, but I love how clearly you enunciate all of your hard consonants. It is so satisfying to hear you say things like "paper piecing" or "take your time."
Tula you could never be described as a lazy quilter. Like Edtya Sitar, You are prolific! Such a beautiful quilt.
Completely not surprised that Angela Walters quilts Tula’s quilts! Both make me want to use so much more colour and be brave with my quilting choices. Thanks FQS and Tula for these awesome videos. x
You are absolutely delightful to watch 💕I love your humor and how you use it to teach!
Tula, you are a visionary. I could listen to you speak all day! Your way of explaining techniques is unparalleled. Honestly, EPP has never appealed to me in the past, but after watching this, I'm going to try it!
I love your sense of humor! Who knew quilting instruction could be so entertaining while also incredibly clear and informative. Thank you!
Tula, you are right about the 3/8 and I do that for many quilts. My first quilt made in 1973 was Flower Garden and did it completely by hand. Yeah you gotta have a rotating cutting area. Tula, this is the best tutorial I haver ever watched! (and I am very old)
In the middle of makimg a la passacaglia quilt& this video has helped soooooo much. Thanks Tula you are a inspiration. Just got paper pieces and templates for tula nova and have been collecting your fabrics forever cant wait to get started xx
“Anybody that judges you by the back of your quilt and not your front isn’t your real friend.”- Tula Pink ... Words to live by. I'm in a FB EPP group, and there was mention from the leader that the back be "as beautiful as the front". Say what!? I'm thinking, now I have to think about the back too? Not just points matching, making sure they're actually pointy, stitching accuracy, fussy cutting, etc.!? Thank you Tula Pink! I'm halfway through my first EPP project, and I have learned so much of what I don't want to repeat in the next one.
Thank you for this tutorial!! I picked up a paper piecing pattern that I did not realize what I was getting into! After watching your tutorial I think I am going to now tackle the challenge 🧵✂️
Thank you FQS for having teachers like Tula for us newbies, us rebels, she is the 💣❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
loved your new line I just got to know and happy I did you are so cute and talented I am an 80 yr old quilter so hi glad to meet you on line
Best teacher ever!!,
You are such an awesome teacher! If we can ever sit in a classroom with a group of people again, I am making a huge effort to sit in a class of yours! I always walk away from your tutorials with so many precious nuggets of information!
So cool to watch Tula Pink share her magic 🥰
I really like watching Tula Pink's videos. She is very precise and tells you why you need to do something a certain way
I never attempted English paper piecing but after watching Tula demystify it I’ll try it. Thank you
I am blown away at how easy piecing is, I never thought I could ever attempt it! Now, thanks Tula Pink I can do it! 😊
Tula, Thank You for "BeingYou "....... you are so inspiring !! I WILL try English paper piecing after all .
Tula is my spirit animal 😂😂😂 I’m all out shaving seconds, but it usually gets me in trouble.
Thank you for making me feel capable of this once scary adventure.
As introductions go, this video was my introduction to Tula Pink. I now understand the gushing I hear from her fans, either on line or at a fabric store. She takes they mystery out of EPP, shows you how to do it and thereby insure your quilt is sufficiently impressive to be worth the effort it takes! I am a new fan!
Thank you for the sunrise
I could listen to Tula all day. Tula for president lol
Thank you so much for these EPP videos. Your videos got me into EPP and now I'm hooked.
Vraiment extraordinaire !!! WHY? simplicity of techniques, time matters so that creativity is NOT extinguished! Merci beaucoup !
Excellent tutorial on EPP. I learned so much in 30 minutes. She is funny , concise and clear in her delivery of EPP techniques. She gives credit to others. Will be watching Part 2.
You are funny and I love your attitude towards quilts and quilting!
Thank you this was awesome! While watching I was thinking....oh, wizard thank you for sharing with us muggles. I’ve never paper pieced before thinking how hard it must be, but just maybe, I’ll give it a try.
Great tutorial for EPP - Thank you! Very informative and I love her sense of humor!
This is the perfect and most thorough tutorial in paper piecing by the queen of quilting. You will be making many more quilts in your lifetime. Mine will be a shorter span
I’m an art teacher and this is sooooo magical! No idea what the fall will look like, but I’m taking some of you into my classroom.
*bows to Tula and swears loyalty*
My goodness I have followed Tula and her outstanding fabric for years and now with expertise of an over the top designer I am so excited to use these more modern techniques. Wow I am blown away. Thanks !!! with enthusiasm as you can note !!!!!!!
I love this lady !! thank you Tula for your tips and teachings
What a riot. Not only super informative but absolutely entertaining. Nothing worse than watching an instructional video and the instructor bores you to tears or they sound like chalk scrapping on a board. Kudos Tula - You had me at hello and all the way through.
Girl, you work your fanny off! People today want maximum return but are NEVER willing to do the work. Be proud! Your work is incredible
Tula Pink has just become one of my top educators. Excellent tutorial and so in-depth. Keep them coming. I need a Tula project immediately.
Tula will probably never see this but I watched her series on EPP and fell in love. I immediately purchased the Tula Nova pattern and acrylic set. But when I got it and saw all those pieces I almost had a heart attack! But her instructions are so very helpful and easy to follow. I’m about half way through this pattern and do NOt want to finish it and not have a pattern to do. So I have purchased Tula Sunrise and blooms as well and can’t wait to dig into them! Thank you Tula I wish you were my neighbor! I would love to have you as a friend. I have really enjoyed watching you.
I just found your video. You are delightful, funny, and a talented teacher. Thanks for all the insights...not just the technical info but also the thinking about the choices to make.
You are so amazing! You are funny, knowledgeable & captivating! I don’t even want to paper piece BUT watching you teach makes me think I can do it!
Well, this was confronting, shocking and sometimes just down right startling but I enjoyed every minute of it!!!! There was a wealth of information in this video that inspired me and enthused me to get that English Paper Piecing back out and do it this way. Glue, I love you. Thanks so much for this video Tula. An oldie but a goodie.
I hate (as in loathe and detest) EPP, but I think your tutorial may just have changed my mind.
Thoroughly enjoyed the session and your beautiful fabrics.
Looking forward to Part 2 now...Thank you.
Well... this was fantastic! I don’t even quilt but I watched the entire video because Tula Pink is just that great. I “feel” like I can EPP a quilt right now😉
This was fabulous, I watched the series of 3 videos but in reverse order. It all made sense, I like the attention to protecting our bodies and our dainty little hands, pain is fun for no one. I also loved the focus on increasing efficiencies, saving 2 seconds at a time when you have a million pieces ahead of you really makes a big difference.
I love this woman! I think she is my lost child! So funny! THANKYOU I learned a lot from this video.
