    Dear Howard, thank you for this video explaining your favourite river rods. Given that your ahead of the game unlike many others, please do a remake of this video when the successor series of the Ultralite LL will be released

    As always, outstanding info. Love the comparisons and your decisioning process for rod choice. Also, your early comments about how difficult (impossible) those questions are to answer. Looking forward to giving the new Hardy line-up a go. Thanks!

    Thanks for the video Howard. In one of your videos, you mentioned using the o'pros rod holder when fishing two rods. I like to use two rods and move up river. Leaving one on the bank means a lot of backtracking (and looking around for where it actually is). I use a chest pack. I'm wondering if you've sorted out a best-method for using the rod holder when using two rods. Thanks for your efforts!

      Hi Martin
      To be honest I’ve ditched the o’pro for now as mine seems to constantly work loose and gone back to a fixed belt type that’s set up at about the best angle for me . I occasionally push it down the front of my pack as well .

    Great video Howard, thank you for posting. Do you have any suggestions on tying up a leader for spider fishing? Thanks again!

      I just cut back a 7.5 ft Tapered leader and add a micro loop so I can knock on level tippet & droppers , generally I keep them fairly short - around 10 ft overall.

    Howard, how about small waters (UK) what rod weight and length do you fish with?

    • @howardcrostonflyfisher9227
      @howardcrostonflyfisher9227  3 года назад

      Really depends on the method but primarily a 9.6ft 7# or 8 depending on wind / required distance . I do drop to a 6# for dries sometimes when thin tippet is needed . 10ft is also fine but typically harder to use into a head wind .
