I seen them in concert at Rock & Roll Heaven in Toronto way the hell back when, and they indeed played all their own instruments. To question their ability....the club was absolutely packed to see them. They put on a great show.
Richard Marx wrote a few songs for Vixen's record label. Vixen recorded a couple of them, and this one was one of their first hits. When the girls started writing their own music, they had some differences, and eventually broke up.
I love this version so much more! I can really hear Share's awesome bass track. She is so beautiful. She looks a bit like Nancy Spungen, but even more beautiful!
I lived through this era. Sometimes...Damn...I miss it. The avatar is my wife, and I looked like (gah) Bon Jovi lol. But we had a ton of fun in the 80's. And looking like Jon got me that hot babe of a wife so...Thank you, Jon lol
Here are the names of Vixen, the best girl band ever. Janet Gardner - Lead Singer Roxy Petrucci - Drums Share Pedersen - Bassist Jan Kuehnemund - Guitar
Nunca es tarde para apreciar la buena música, Felipe Cuando recién salió este álbum era un adolescente de 17 años... Y cada vez que escucho el estilo de música de los 80's hasta mitad de los 90's me siento transportado a esa época
OMG They they bring new meaning to the term rock steady. This my friends is the 80 at its best, WILD hair, increadable women and did i forget to mention power cords and drum rifs then send chills up my spine even today !
I was in high school in the 80s Glam/ hard Rock/ Heavy Metal days and NO music that's come after has even come close to equalling what music was then. That's teh long and short of it!
Oh and there were 2 versions of How Much Love and Love Made Me as well. The former was released in 2 slightly diff edits (you can hardly spot any difference) while the latter had a band-only version, and a 2nd version with a guy sneaking in from behind the stage and trying to film the band with his own hand camera
I happen to have the album right here in my hand and it says very clearly: "Edge of a broken heart, Composed by Richard Marx & Fee Waybill, Produced and arranged by Richard Marx /Engineered and mixed by Brian Foraker
I used to almost stand on my head just to get bigger hair as I was drying it. Part of the hole in the ozone layer is because I loved Aquanet so much. We thought that we looked hot...............
I been living on the edge of a broken heart I don't wanna fall, I don't wanna crawl I been living on the edge of a broken heart Don't you wonder why I gotta say goodbye
@bigmonkeyman44 Your absolutely right! He just wrote the song, not the solo. Jan is more a rocker than a balladist like Richard. He could never solo a classic piece of musical art like Jan. Long live Vixen and the 80´s!!
I miss this kind of music in the charts, proper rock music played by people who know what guitars and drums look like.
RIP, Jan - you were one kickass lead guitarist. These gals knew how to rock. Wish I could time travel back to the 80's - and stay there.
Janet Gardner is one of Rock n' Roll's best singers and I wish she would come back to us! She's freakin' great!
You really need to listen to more bands

It was awesome to experience the Hard Rock music during the 80’s. Had crushes on Vixen members, especially Janet Gardner, plus Ann and Nancy Wilson.
