Have you ever seen anyone remove a 600 kg bougainvillea? The homeowner was concerned about the size of the bush and wanted it removed to open up the backyard and allow for easier maintenance moving forward. She was actually shocked that I managed to do it in less than an 8-hour day, with 3 trips to the landfill.

FAQ's:
Q: Where are you located?
A: We are from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia 🦘🦘🦘.
Q: Do you worry about snakes?
A: I have never even seen a snake in over 4 years on the job.
Q: Which equipment do you use?
A: We use mostly STIHL power equipment (battery and petrol) and commercial Honda self-propelled mowers.
Q: How much do the jobs cost?
A: Sorry, I prefer not to talk about costs!
Q: What happened to Nick?
A: Nick was offered a full-time position at his other job as a Political admin!
Q: What happened to Brent?
A: Brent quit at the start of August 2022.
Q: Why don't you use tarps instead of cans?
A: Tarps are too difficult to move through small spaces and lift into the trailer. The same for wheelbarrows, they are only good for unloading the trailer!
Q: Why are the hot water cylinders outside?
A: I'm not really sure to be honest, maybe something to do with space & maintenance, but either way, it really is poor heat efficiency!
Q: Why are you cutting so close to your employee!
A: I'm not cutting too close to my workers, they are standing too close to where I am working! All of my workers have been told numerous times about standing too close to the tools and about the hazards involved!
Q: Why do your workers do all the lifting and carrying?
A: Basically, they are employed to carry things and I pay them well, to do the job required.
Q: You work so well together, how do you do it?
A: That's the magic of editing. My workers are basically given instructions on what to do, I just edit it all out, so the videos look seamless!
Q: Why don't you have help?
A: I've had many problems with employees in the past, so I now work alone.
Q: Why don't you have a ride-on mower?
A: Well, there are a few reasons.
1. Currently, I don't do enough big jobs to justify spending 15k on a good ride on mower.
2. I don't have anywhere to store it.
3. A lot of the properties we do have fences and gates, so you can't actually get a ride -on in there.
4. I don't have the right trailer for a ride on, considering we always take the green waste away.
5. I will get one as soon as all of the above are solved.
You slew the Dragon, George. That Bougainvillea was huge and thick in the center; well done! Excellent work!
That bougainvillea was gigantic. I would never imagine one could grow so huge. Good job! Hope you don’t have scars from the thorns.
Broke my heart to see that beautiful Bougainvillea cut down, but it was crazy out of control. It shocked me to see how big that yard really was. You made it look effortless, but I know it was anything but. Hoping you didn’t get too many wounds while working. Those thorns are wicked! I’m hoping we get to see the rest of the yard. Looking forward to seeing how big it really is. Be safe out there, and thank you so much for sharing. This video was awesome! ❤️
Yeah, the homeowner probably wanted it gone, but it's beautiful if shaped nicely. The flowers are gorgeous. Wished it could've been cut back and shaped; it thrived in that area.
I agree completely
I don't like thornes, but this was a nice bush, could it just be cut back?
@@sandrastevens2793 yes, they can. Yoy can shape them as a nice tree, small ir big. This was a very neglected plant, they do survive a lot of neglect. Inc8dentally, flowers are good in tea, for cough. We prefer the deep purple ones, this was a red.
You can buy small growing ones. I've waited ages to see them for sale again and bought a couple in our early summer. I have another one I've had for about 30 years in a large pot and it has stayed the size of a small bush. You can also contain the large growing one in a big pot and keep it cut back. I keep three under my back windows which I'm pretty sure no-one is going to climb through their thorns to break into the house!!
I love bouganvilla, here in Cape Town usually planted against perimeter wall or fence, however you do have to trim them and keep them under control.
I have never seen such a huge Bougainvillea! They are beautiful but a pain in the butt. Unblocking that view was worth taking it down. Great job as usual George 👍👍👍 Cheers 🍻
Amazed how much effort was required to deal with the overgrown Bougaivillea! Great job!
An amazing hide away garden, next to industrial living. This garden was well planned originally. Once, cut back will be easier to maintain moving forward! Well done on this beastie
What a joy to come across this notification, I was already missing seeing you in action, health and happiness to you my super gardener.
Waiting for the next event 😘
That was one big ass bush! Kudos on a great job! 👍
Well done George. That’s a lot of work. Amazing the space the bush took up.
Wow! I’ve never seen that big of a bougainvillea removed! I’m sure that was quite a sticky situation! Great job, as always!❤❤❤
As much as I love the flowers and color of bougainvillea, I know their thorns! So, I can just imagine how many holes your hands and arms had after this... despite having long sleeves and leather gloves! 😱😱😱
yeah, not a fun one 👍
No body does it better. Thank you for sharing another great job
Taking out the thorny vine was like taking down a giant. Amazing! This was an awesome transformation!
What a beast. Great job. Big difference and so much more space now. I hope we see you optimizing the rest of the yard in your next video.
Excellent work George you are the BEST!!!
WTG George, Another awesome video!!! Never get tired of watching I truly professional person do what he really enjoys doing!!!!

Love your videos George your amazing. 👍👍❤
That was massive, hope we get to see the rest of the yard in the next vid. Great job!
Huge!!! A million trips to the dump, gosh. Sooo well done.
Take a hot soak bath, huh? Whew! Ahhh. 👍💓👏👏
WOW! Just WOW!!
You looked pretty small next to that monster! Great job George!
Good morning everyone hope you are having a good day. Greetings from the USA. Good job george.
عمل رائع انتظر منك الجزء التالي
я, наверное, одна из немногих зрителей, которые смотрят ваши видео одновременно и с восхищением к проделываемой работе, и с жалостью к таким чудесным огромным кустам и растениям 😅
Wow…that bougainvillea was a behemoth! Great job! I hope we get to see the rest of the yard clean up next video.
It was a beautiful bush.❄️💚🙃
Really opened up the yard a lot , great job
Молодец! Как всегда хорошо!
Great job, George, in removing that massive yet beautiful tree/bush.
I couldn't believe the size that bourgainvillea had grown to! You did an incredible job cutting that thing and hauling all the foliage and branches out. They are so thorny! Hope you didn't get cut up. I saw the good heavy duty leather gloves but wondered about your poor arms and front. I was so happy when I saw the last big bit of the top come down and suddenly we could see into the distance - yay!!! Full marks for that job, George. Bet you were happy when that was done.
I've never seen a Bougainvillea bush before, only vines. What a mess that was! Beautiful job as always George. Hope you have another video soon on the rest of that yard.
Bougainvillea 0-George-100% a win. Brilliant idea cutting the bush like a cake. I guess that’s the difference between an amateur like me, and a pro like you. Great video. ❤😊
Great job! I never knew bougainvillea bushes could get so huge, nor that they were thorny. It was beautiful though. See you on the next one!
You were like an artist unsculpting that tree. It was a joy to watch!
Enjoyed this video very much. Amazing to see your hard work really opening up this yard. Looking forward to more.
Здравствуйте! Давно не виделись! Вы всё в заботах, аки пчела)))
What a mammoth job. I have never seen a bougainvillea bush so big. Job well done. Love your channel.
That was amazing.
Thank you again for an epic job. I was amazed at the way that you tackled it, cutting out squares almost. You ALMOST made it look easy. Take care.
Wow, what a huge bush! It sure opens up the space and looks good.
Watching that bush removal was extremely satisfying, Great job
Thanks Ed, much appreciated 🙂👍
Genial! Deseando que subas un nuevo vídeo. Gracias!
I am glad you are back
That was a gigantic bush. Did not realize they grew that big. Great job in cutting it down. See you on the next video
The Newest product in the garden line, "George's Bush Be Gone" Get rid of those pesky bushes and trees. "Bush Be Gone" works in just a few hours. Satisfaction Guaranteed. Sad that you don't have a picker upper to help you with all that green waste. Are you gonna do the rest of the yard next?
What a great job! Those plants are very difficult to deal with.
Removing that bush made a huge difference in the yard!
Wonderful job! That was a massive Bush goodness..took no time at all for you ..but most others would be a few long hours and a bunch of sweat too.. can't wait to see the rest tidied ..that was a big spot of the yard they got back.
Great job. Love watching you transform gardens❤
I liked this video a lot. You do great work.
I’ve been waiting 😄

Quick cuts where you been I have been missing your videos
That was cool
Yessss that’s the perfect mission for trim master❤
What a beast of a Bougainvillia....well done
Wow, that makes a difference!
WOW that was impressive!
Очень жаль такой красивый куст . Но работа есть работа которая как всегда на высоте !!!
Vou aguardar a segunda parte!
Wow what a beautiful job God bless you 🙏❤️
Well done and the music is really good too! 😊🇨🇦
WOW! Great job! That is not an easy vine to deal with. Believe me, I know!
Waiting for the next installment!
I was a little distracted by the background view, it fascinated me! My country is mostly flat, and the few highlands are far from where I live. That's why I love these videos, not only the great work he does but also the gorgeous views he sometimes captures .
If I was the owner, at this stage of my life, I would remove all the shrubs and small trees. Leave just the bigger tree for shade and a swing.
You need a permit to cut down trees here in Australia, you can get fined for just removing them from your garden.
Excellent job & neat as a pin.👌👌
What a difference that made well done, when are you going back to do the rest
Do you know how many batteries did you go through taking that bougainvillea down? Charles
I use the bigger AP300S, they last a long time, so it would have been 1 or 2!
@@QuickCuts thank you for the reply. I was looking at similar tools.
You’ve done an awesome job. Thank you so much for sharing. I enjoyed watching you. Keep up the good work. Thank you for sharing. 👍🇺🇸🙏🏼
Awesome job George as always. That's a beautiful bush, but needs constant attention. We have those here in Phoenix Arizona. I had one on my front yard, took my son several hours to dig out the roots. 👍👍👍👍👍🇺🇸
Nicely done! Big job but you conquered it well!
Bougainvillea does not need much water. My town is full of them, bcoz we have dry climate half a year,so they can go without watering, and we will have brilliant blooms since they blooms explosively after being dried for months
We love Bougainville here in the Bahamas, but you have to keep it under control
Love the music you put to your video.
Wow!!! Thanks for sharing👍🏻
George sei un grande 👍 anzi il migliore 👏👏👏
One of your BEST Videos!!!
Wow amazing video l love it looks much better than before for real 😉 Great Job George ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Keep The Good Work 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 From Greeley Colorado
Wow! You slayed that dragon in fine fashion! Well done!
I love the music at the beginning
What a mammoth task George but as usual, you were up to the task. Good thing you'd had your Weet Bix though.
wow that bush was VERY dense and huge.... it almost buried you at one stage .. what a fab job you did.
Well George, you have your work “cut out” for you with this yard. 👷🏼💪👏🏼☺️
Wow, that was crazy. Good job 😎
After all that cutting and lugging I bet your arms were giving you hell, George! Great job yet again!
I'm reasonably used to the work, but it's more like an all over body ache after 👍
I have never seen such a huge boganvilla. I lived in Arizona for many years and they are everywhere but this one Is quadruple the size of even the largest that I ever saw in Arizona. They are very colorful but very thorny. They love then in Az because they add a-lot of color to the yards and highways while being heat resistant and don’t need a lot of water. This one was really beautiful. But it took up a lot of space in the yard.
I know it was massive. I've done one a bit smaller, but this one was a monster bush 🙂
Hours of fun. LOL
Great job guys
