Watching 11 year old Ale struggling to hold up her bass is inspiring.
Many reactors haven't seen this presentation yet because everybody just recommends the 2017 presentation and they miss this part of the story and the awesome music performance.
Ale had been 11 for only a few weeks, when this happened.

Holy crap I probably watch the 2017 TEDx at least once a month. Pau just destroys the kit at the end of Unmendable.

The Warning opened for the Foo Fighters in Mexico City 10 days before Taylor Hawkins died. There's a great behind the scenes video on The Warning's channel called "The Warning Direct Support - Foo Fighters CDMX Behind the Scenes". It's about 5 minutes Unfortunately there are no english subtitles. If you plan to watch it and don't want to spoil yourself don't read the next paragraph.
At the end, backstage after The Warning performs you see Dave Gohl giving Dany, Pau, and Ale a high five asking how their set went before he heads out to perform. The video ends with Taylor Hawkins holding his sticks with his arms outstretched above his head telling DPA they sound amazing and then the video fades out on a freeze frame of that image. R.I.P. Taylor Hawkins.

The Warning opened for The Foo Fighters in Mexico City in early 2022, ten days before Taylor's death. Dave high-fived them and complemented them on the show.

This performance was the most watched video from that whole TedX event which is probably why they earned an invitation to perform the following year as well.
If you want more of a documentary style video there are a couple options. There's the TIDAL Rising documentary "The Warning: The Mexican Rock Stars Who Happen To Be Sisters."
There's also "MAYDAY IN THE MAKING Documentary" on The Warning's channel. It has six parts about five minutes each. You should be able to find the playlist on their channel.
Another great documentary style video on their channel is a video they made for their 10th anniversary called "The Warning X Anniversary"
I'll check it out.
On their 10 year anniversary video Dany mentioned that she remembers younger Dany feeling very afraid. Now watching this performance with that knowledge I feel even more proud of her fighting through those fears while taking the lead with her younger sisters.

We've watched them play video games and Pau attempting to bake a cake. Watching them play Mario Kart was so hilarious. Ale was extremely pissed off.
I'll never get tired of seeing these TedX talks. These young ladies are an inspiration and they've actually made it into their early 20s now and they are every bit as humble and charming now as they were here. For once a story of young talented kids that were not destroyed by the machine. But they had a lot of the right kind of support over the years.
the arrangement, the lyrics,, from BABIES! omg this 2016 is, for me, THE most impactful! and then to remember, this is all in their second language!
I'm amazed every time I see these.
They have stated publicly that they wrote some of the songs off their first full length LP, XXI Century Blood, the same time they were writing for their EP, Escape the Mind.
Both River’s Soul and Exterminated were obviously in that category as those songs are on XXICB and the album wasn’t released until the following year.
XXICB is still on heavy rotation with QOTMS and Error in my household.
Their talking is the "new experience " for them . . Remember theyve been rocking festivals by this stage . So an audiance is no worrys . . Talking in english is . At that age Ale spoke better english and was chosen to speak first . .
This performance was recorded in January of 2016, one week before Daniela's 16th birthday, and Paulina's 14th was a week after that. Alejandra had turned 11 a month before.
In the previous year they released an EP, Escape The Mind. Alejandra's bass teacher had been giving the girls "homework" assignments for them to practice songwriting. That EP grew out of those early efforts. River's Soul and Exterminated, performed here, were not on that EP. They would be included on their first full album, still a year away.
As the last song starts ,the camera crosses to 2 ladys . The one in green is Monica the girls mum . She is a dentist . . . She has apeared in the videos for Matirio and Desiple . .
Dad ,Luis, by all accounts was a sound engineer , having his own studio that was sold around the time Pau was born . .
The TedEx gigs are awesome . . . The next one is particularly historic , il explain that when you react to it . .

I remember reading somewhere that this performance was the most viewed TedX talk in the history of the University of Nevada. Hence the invitation to come back in 2017.

Poor little 11 year old Ale. Resting that big ol' 3/4 size fender on her thigh as it bites into her shoulder.
She had to catch up to her sisters in not much more than a year to be able to perform with them.
I can only imagine the hours and hours of pain and practicing she had to do to already be a first class bass player.
As good as they are here, you can see another leap in progress to the 2017 performance.

Nice Reaction! It's really amazing how much these girls improved from 2015 when they did the Liceo de Monterrey show at their school and when they did the Lunario venue in Mexico City in 2018 where they performed their whole 2nd Album, Queen of the Murder Scene. By 2018 I think Ale had already shot past Pau in height and she was probably close to growing past Dany too!

They have a video for The Pretender - Out of the Basement which is imo a great first 'music video' .
Fast forward a few years Ale is the tallest and they're selling gigs across Europe. I saw them in a sold out Nottingham on Sunday and they were fantastic 🎉
They have a video on their RUclips channel called out of the basement,they kill this song on a hilltop in Monterrey.

Don't know if Dave Grohl interacted with them back then, but he did something a lot better, he invited them to open for the Foo Fighters at the Foro Sol in Mexico City in front of 58000 people in March 2022.

They learned how to speak English at school in Mexico. Ale is only 11 years old here and speaks wonderful English. How does that happen? Kids in the U.S. take four years of Spanish in high school and can't carry on a simple conversation.
There’s no doubt they were precocious as all hell but these early vids highlight Ale, in my mind, simply because she’s so damn young. 10 or 11 and OWNING the bass riffs from Muse and Foo covers? GTFO.
She said she was 11 in this video.
Philosopher Dany and preacher Pau are even more impressive in the 2017 tedx, super cute Ale is always super cute Ale, well until she became absolutely stunning Ale.
