Best ever video. This is Pure Art in motion. Has anyone ever thought of combining this form of energy with modern technology ? Here l am thinking of Solar panels heating water used say halfway / close to boiling point before entering the Boiler thus saving a hell of a lot of coal / furnace oil to reach steam pressure making it more cheap energy ?
Looks to be a fascinating place!! I would also love to visit but live way too far away maybe one day when or if I visit the UK it will be on my to see list, A question though are all these engines running on live steam? or compressed air?
+smithybix A new boiler house was built to run the engines on event days ans as far as I know they are electrically operated on non event days.I hope you manage to pay a visit.
Sadly it has no purpose other than letting people see them in working order. Top marks to the Museum. Certainly better than seeing all of them lifeless.

Thank You. I'm not 100% sure but I assume they run on compressed air. I do know some can be operated electrically.
