In The Story Of One Sky he composed and sang the whole soundtrack himself.
The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In composing, in singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But simply unbelievable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to understand it.
He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay.
The premiere was on September 24, 2022.
As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. During his concerts he always tells the audience he loves all people in every country. He visited so many different counties with his concerts and he realized that there are no bad nations (only bad leaders).
And OMG he is such a phenomenal actor.
Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. She was pregnant and in the end of the video she gave birth to her and Dimashs' (character) second child. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. When he came home and saw his daughter dead on the ground, he had to assume that his wife and unborn child were also killed. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. When I first saw the video, I was shocked. I didn't think he was going to shoot his friend. But in the end that all made sense. Dimash wanted to show what revenge can do. Violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. It was so heartbreaking to see Dimash drown at the end. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace.
In this video you can see how the main religions are represented mostly with his voice. Islam with the type of Arabic melisma (unfortunately I don't know the correct explanation for this type of singing), Buddhism with the monks and the enchanting "Om", Judaism with the shofar and the Christian church with the soprano singing, which often can be heard in churches.

By the way Dimash has received an award from Pope Francis personally at The Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Kazakhstan on September 13, 2022. He performed the song there in connection with the congress before the premiere. Can you imagine, a Muslim receiving an award from the head of the Catholic Church. How wonderful is that🥰.

(1) Dimash composed the song and participated in the arrangement, in addition to acting in the mini-film. The lyrics of the song and Russian poet Lilia Vinogradova and the video direction by Alina Veripya!
(2) The artifact that the boy found in the trunk and that was turned into necklaces is a "gnomon", a needle for a sundial (a rustic device for keeping time);
(3) The name "Piper" (piper, or piper) is known as a synonym for "dictator", "despot": This originates from the tale of the "Pied Piper of Hamelin" (folk tale rewritten by the Brothers Grim), where a piper was hired to deal with the rat infestation of the city of Hamelin (Germany, 1284). This is Dimash's magnum opus and his dream for the world. He wrote the music and the script for the MV.
It's in his soul and everything he believes in. In every interview he gives he talks about peace and the need for world unity.
He's much more than just a singer, he's a global ambassador for world peace and it's no surprise that he's been taking on various side roles including his new role as Goodwill Ambassador for the UN.

The story told here is full of symbols. For Dimash, peace for the people is a project close to his heart. He talks about it so often. - Unfortunately, many speak of peace "with a forked tongue" and are actually causing war in the background. In particular, public organizations. People have to open their eyes and not run after mirages (no matter which camp).
For your own viewing or sharing - go watch his on stage performance of this! I did think it would b possible a totally. But he did it at his Almaty concert, his home town. Really worth it , we get to see how important this approach to life devastates Dimash.

Yes, the video is very impressive. It shows the spiral of violence that we are too often subjected to. Wars destroy lives and souls.
Incidentally, Dimash at the end is the grown-up baby who follows a different path than his parents. He leads to the light, not to war.
What do I think? In some situations it may take a lot of courage, sometimes even more courage than we think because our own lives can be in danger. But if we stick to what he says, to stop obeying the leaders of this world when they order us to go to war, for example, then there would be no more wars. Of course, only if everyone did it. I don't know if you ever do reactions to non music videos but if you do, you might be interested in his short speech on the ethics of peace at The Central Asian Media Forum. It's on his channel with hard coded subtitles in English.
He also gave a short interview to the head of the Peace One Day foundation who was on stage with him for the forum and was so impressed with his mind and way of thinking that he asked him to do an interview and a small section for an anti racism event a short while later.

It is better to watch from Part 3 of the concert on Dimash's channel. There is to much background noise in the fancam which ruins the impact of the song.
@@IsabelW1000 Fancams have a big advantage. No copyright. In other words, you will hardly have any problems. Sometimes a little more authentic and if they are good recordings... CLEAR, you are right about the sound and image, as the possibilities for recording are limited. I also saw another live recording that I liked even better, like the video that is almost only used for this song in the Net, at Reactions, was at other performances and I also think the ending is better, he added something to it, made better. Some people find something like this interesting because the sound cannot have been edited later, just as it is received by the visitor.

“This is subtitled “Requiem”, but it is also a vision and a call to action.
Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the music teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14 at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together”, signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmed el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke (and received a medal from Pope Francis for his contributions to the World of Peace) with both men at the September meeting.
Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel.
1 The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial, while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. It was used for both timekeeping and navigation, with the gnomon oriented to True North. In the Music Video, the child who later becomes the military commander never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, the boy, gives his friend the pendant, the camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl. Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral compass. Later, we see a version of the gnomon, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through, as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers.
2 Contemporary music is also present: with the phrase “We have passed the moment of Imagine”, Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song “Imagine” by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must act and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. It is the only way.
3 The storyline is a very human one: we start as innocents until our hearts are broken, we fail, or our dreams are not realized. If in our pain and disappointment we turn to anger and blame instead of acceptance, power instead of love, greed and envy instead of generosity, hatred instead of forgiveness, and revenge instead of justice, we sow the seeds for conflicts that can turn into war.
4 The Piper’s Call is seductive as it promises redress for our grievances, control over our circumstances, and power over those who thwarted us, and this appeals to our wounded ego. However, let’s remember that the Piper is a symbolic figure of Death from the Middle Ages, often used as a metaphor for trusting and following charismatic but dangerous and malevolent leaders to certain death. Even if we resist, as the adult Dimash character does, we often employ the same methods and weaponry as the Piper, and thus those who fight back betray peace as well because peace cannot be won through violence. That is the dilemma of those of us who did not start the war, who do not support war, but are forced to respond in order to defend ourselves and those we love. How can we rid the world of evil without becoming what we fight against?
5 The burning sign “Waldenburg” is a reference to the end of WWII, when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht to end the war in April of 1945. Many of the dead were women and children, because all men ages 15 through 75 were mobilized. So, the good guys defeated evil, but at what price?
6 The last movement is powerful: The cries over the loss of a beloved child and the cries of giving birth to new life are presented as a call-and-response grounded by a powerful Om chant that creates a sacred space, reminding us that death and life are both sacraments and are interwoven. Dimash’s vocalization and the pilgrims representing world religions and religious leaders, past and present, walking together shift the narrative toward the final conflict and finally redemption. When Dimash’s character decides to avenge the murder of his daughter, his state of consciousness is reflected in the darkening sky with lightning bolts of anger accompanying the storm of his emotions that struck the pilgrims sharply. The fog of war obscures the light. When he is killed after exacting retribution, he is dropped back into the “sacred womb” of Earth, the ocean of love and mercy and is cleansed of the old hatreds and grievances that only bring more death and suffering. He breaks the wheel of endless war by choosing life. Dimash’s scream “We’re choosing life” is that of giving life: the old earthly consciousness of an eye for an eye has to die to make way for a new spiritual consciousness that embraces all life. Soul is breaking free to return to its natural state of love and purity as examplified by the images of the children and the newborn baby.
The blowing of the shofar signals God’s mercy for humankind when it turns from wrong to right.
Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash’s character becomes a guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine. We are all on the same path, even if our personal narratives, cultural heritage and spiritual orientations are very different from one another. By focusing on our common destination rather than on our differences, we can walk together in peace and love and mutual respect. Dimash is showing us how.
Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who founded analytical psychology, wrote: “Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”
This is what Dimash has done with this work: he has made the darkness conscious. We can only raise our individual and collective consciousness by bringing to light what needs to be healed in our lives and our world, and then we need to work together to restore wholeness to what is broken and bring about peace and unity, one step at a time.”
We don’t have to wait. We can start right now. This is Dimash’s message to those in power. He urges them to follow their hearts. He tells them that nothing that exists is, or could ever be, outside of God. We are never outside of God - and never without God within us.

А на днях эти русские подонки слили в интернет страшные кадры обезглавливания живого Украинского пленного, демонстрируя его страдания и отрезанную голову.Также они сливали в сеть видео кастрации живого Украинского пленного перочинным ножом !
Привет из Одессы всем адекватным людям, друзьям Украинцев ! На днях очередной ракетный обстрел искандерами забрал 22 жизни Одесситов, в т.ч.6 детей, были разрушения, главного Православного Собора города и множества исторических объектов, находящихся под охраной ЮНЕСКО. Не перестаёт удивлять изысканная подлость русских тварей, состоящая в том, что после первого прилёта они стреляют в то же самое место, но когда туда уже прибыли спасатели, медики, пожарные. В результате ещё больше убитых, в т.ч. спасателей и медиков. Вчерашний день и эта ночь также сопровождалась бесконечными воздушными тревогами и ракетными обстрелами.
Утром 8 июля вся Украина испытала страшную боль после массированной ракетной атаки. Авиация российской фашистской педерации обстреляла 4 мирных города, в т.ч. в столице уничтожила самую большую детскую больницу Охмадит и роддом. Известно о более 40 убитых и около 200 раненых, в т.ч. детей.
