      Make both arms move.
Not sure if you're able to access the sound board, I would try and remove that force sound.

make it walk.. maybe an uneven wheel of sort to make it waddle (that is a short cut... )... but I am guessing you will need to reposition the battery compartment.. and the on and off switch..
or bundle all the original parts and add robot legs or wheels? I am not sure how you can go about it LOL ..

I appreciate how carefully you take apart and put him back together! I’ve seen a lot of people who just destroy the toy to get inside which seems really wasteful to me

I have an interest in circuit boards and motors to. It’s so cool how small dc motors can be powered by electricity and that you can control when an output signal will be put on the wires to the motors from the circuit board! I hope I got that right lol. I’m kind of a beginner to circuit boards and dc motors

I guess the $60 price point is more understandable if they didn't go cheap on what makes him tick on the inside. Hopefully this means he will keep working for a long time.

Might be a big ask but make the egg carry cot, attach to a base with a clear tube to mimic floating and put wheels in the base to make it mobile. As for the hack, have the child sleep and rise up in egg when the lid opened

I knew I would find a video on the internet that would show me this. I just bough one for a Halloween table display. I wish I could turn it on with a push button switch I could hide behind some thing. I could have it go off when they were at a perfect spot. Thanks for the video, I subscribed.

I really like this video, you did a great description of the toys functions. I also disassembled him. I finally figured out how to trigger his Capasitence sensor using a Relay and a High/Low signal from an Arduino micrcontroller. I used an Android voice recognition App and bluetooth to tell the toy to do its sound and animations. I posted two videos on my youtube page... I also made his hand glow Blue when he does his force move. Hardware hacking is such good fun...

Totes don't underestimate the power of the Nuvuton chip!! The ones I've worked with in the past were pretty cool; in their 'toy line' of chips (everything from 8/16(gross)/32 bit), they add a dope audio processor with like a 1/8W(?) amp into the chip and holy jeez that's a god send in toys. They even have M0 core's for under a buck (depending on mem size...)!
*not an ad, just spent way too much time in the trenches with the chip family :)*

    • @RanHam

Great video, saves me from opening mine, did it get any quieter in operation after you reassembled it? The mechanism in mine seems louder than it should be, i have seen lots of reviews and can never pick up the mechanisms noise like i can on mine, some reviewers have even commented on how quiet it is. Yours even seems a lot quieter than mine from your audio. I was planning on opening it up to see if any of the mechanisms were bottoming out due to shipping wear or even at least just to lubricate it more. I was really expecting it to be quieter, its a real distraction while operating, it takes a lot from the cuteness of the toy. Mine is cute until i turn it on.

another question can robo-raptors be a kids toy I think not because once guard is pressed it just won't move at all it gotta be as simple with the walking what causes it to walk answer is springs which is truly weak with frsh batteries my robo-sapien can't walk because he won't waddle but both robo-raptor's legs won't move lso another issue is how that motor's wiring is melted right through once uncut it can't be glued right back in hey got r2-d2 and BB8 but that motor if it strips its done wowwee's motors are real well with attachable wires got robo-sapien fixed so it's walk motor definitely dead and got it fully replaced

Hey, I was wondering if you still had this Grogu and if you could possibly help me? The Grogu animatronic I have has started to glitch. I've changed the batteries multiple times and still the same... just freezing and stopping in the middle of movements. I went ahead and purchased a whole stock of new Grogu's (LOL YES I KNOW) for future scenarios... essentially the goal is to change out all the parts. Just a simple swap, which from your video here made it very easy. HOWEVER, I would like to keep the eyes on the current Grogy. Looking at it, there seems to be a tiny rod going through the back of the eyes to keep them stabilized. But I'm having difficulty pulling that out in order to take the eyes off.
I was wondering/hoping (since you're literally the ONLY video I could find on YT) if you could take a look at it and let me know if there's something I'm missing? I don't want to be aggressive and risk breaking 'whatever' may actually be on the inside of that bridge area. I mean, it just be glue but I don't know.
I'd truly appreciate any assistance for this. And thank you for this video as well. Certainly made the rest of the process very easy and simple for me. ☺️👍

the main Issues I have with this type of technoligy in robotics should springs break after a short time because if the springs continue to move these and they asking for repeairs the problem is how the thing is moving by then springs indisde I think the only option that will improve that is a 3d printer that can print metal back into place of the springs snapped off in half also if such a fool would bring him out on a hot day his ware in tear shouldn't break that easly

Good morning and please help if you want i will really be glad. Suddenly grogu start to make a strange "malfunction". When you touch his head make noises like it takes multiple orders and also make the noise of sleep-close eyes etc, after a while wakes up again. If you touch him 3 times continually makes the force noise with his hand, if you put him to sleep, he sleeps well all seems ok at this part. But why when ypu touch his head one time makes one to three voices with 3-10 secs delay and sometimes he sleeps also? Is something with the sensor? is the fuse? is smth else? Any ideas? Really any ideas will help. The reason is that my gf is crying from yesterday that this happen and i have to find a solution. Well all starts because i was watching football and touch the little grogu all the time to support my team with me. Stupidity i know. Also is forbidden to take another one because she wants only him. I ll be really glad if anyone can answer.
