Chuck Schuldiner [ RIP] 2022 Still Rocking Out To Death.🤘🤘
The best album by Death band and the best death metal album in history, the lead guitar breaks are insane, the vocals of Schuldiner are not of this world, the groovy bass in some songs, the changing tempo in most of the songs and the drums of Bill Andrews, especially those fast blasts, as always James Murphy brings his added value to every album he played on, more than 30 years after the release of this album and i can't find nothing better than this, this album is the essence of death metal, of course this is only my point of view, my favorite song is Spiritual Healing, thanks for sharing.
Genetic Reconstruction I like the most, my fav. album is Human, anyway, how I wish it had the sound of this production, which I think is superior to the above mentioned production..
Spiritual is more straightforward, Human is more jazzy and experimental feeling. This is the best sounding Death album...
What is great about Death (and almost unique) is that all their albums are amazing. I'm not even a metalhead and I love this band and every fan has a different favorite album. That says a lot about them.
Some people could criticize how Chuck was changing line-ups all the time, but maybe his vision was so clear that he needed different musicians every time and he was good at choosing the best.

I saw them at Joe's garage fort worth for this tour. James Murphy had just left the band for Obituary I believe it was. Consequently they couldn't play spiritual healing live. I was one disappointed high schooler. Great show otherwise! Thanks for uploading!

I went to this concert tour in Seattle back in 1990. I stayed after the show and talked to Chuck and the band. I was only 15 at the time and I was super excited to meet him. They had a different guitarist on tour with them, and James Murphy wasn’t there. I had the band sign my cd.

maybe the other guitarist was Paul Masvidal, who joined the tour after James Murphy left the band at the time. After this they went on tour through Europe without Chuck Shuldiner.
@@2112SNEEK all I remember is that he wore glasses and was pretty skinny. He kind of looked like one of my nerdy friends. But he did a great job and signed my CD. So maybe I should check that and see if it’s him.

IMHO they couldn't tower above Human, they became only more and more refined and sophisticated afterwards. This album shows a great band reaching out to more technical and intelligent spheres of extreme music, a logical stepping stone in their improvement, yet it is a bit underrated. An important work not only for them but for the whole death/extreme metal genre.
Yeah, a great band with alot of internal turbulence at that time.

Once you get your expectations right with the style every Death album is great. But i get if you expect Sound of Perseverance to not enjoy Leprosy a ton for instance. I thought i didnt like this album much at first, but going from Individual Thought Patterns to this without context was weird. I think every Death album is a 9/10 or 10/10 tbh
Fist 2 albums are better! Scream bloody gore and Leprosy rule!!!
