Nice! Thank You for the idea, I brought a belt that was too small for my needs, so ima make it longer with this tutorial, very easy to follow and understand.

This is my favourite pattern for belts. It is key to control the twist that each pass of the working end through each loop puts into your cord. I found your method of using shorter lengths and splicing in new pieces, I have always used a single length. I shall try it. Thank you.

Great tutorial, Marko. Splicing colors has the great side benefit of not pulling fifty feet of cord through every loop!

Hey, glad to see you enjoy the tutorial!
That is indeed the case. Some prefer to use one long cord, but sometimes it is better to have a more practical approach. While not as clean due to the splices (not a big deal in my opinion), the 2 color effect and the speed boost in using shorter cords is well worth it.

Another great video, thanks! I love leatherworking as much as tying paracord, so this "hybrid" style project is perfect for me.

Hi you make very good Tutorials, but there is a little problem you don't let us know. How do you determine the length of the cord between switching the color so that the "Manny" is not to see? I think this is the difficulty by doing a two color belt with the Conquistador! Thank you for your good work at all, I've learned a lot from your tutorials!

Hi Mark, With your help, I made a 1,25 meter black Conquistador belt (4 loops) to attach my arrow holder to. And yes, I used 40 meter of Paracord and a lot of time...The result is great, but I would like to add some subtle red stitching to it. Q1 : Do you have an idea for this or is adding stitches to this belt not a good idea, because it is so beautiful already.Q2 : I'm looking for a suitable belt holder to make ( the ring next to the buckle to hold the belt) in paracord and attached to the belt. Any Idea/link ? Thanks again for your help.

How do we determine waist size for the belt becuase I am wanting to make a belt with 5 coils or loops as you call them becuase it gives a good center hole for belt buckles to hook on to so I won’t be needing to add leather but I don’t know how to measure the length of paracord and I have some expensive cord I want to use for it that’s 25$ for 100 ft so I really can’t afford to not have enough cord for this due to the price of the cord

      Hey!
The easiest way to measure for a belt is to take a look at an existing belt you are using. Then you simply make a test length- let's say 3 or 4 inches and see how much cord that used up. Than simply multiply depending on the belt length.

Why not start and finish the weave with ends of the cords behind the belt instead of in front?
