The original stone London bridge was built in the 12th century; the bridge that was sold to Robert McCulloch was called the "new London bridge" and was built in 1831. It was replaced with the current structure in 1973.
Another fun one: The national debt stacked one $1 bill on top of the other can reach the moon 9+ times. (Assuming dollar bill thickness of .0043in, 63360in in 1 mile, 15136704000 inches to moon = $3,520,163,720,930.23 dollar bills to the moon- Current US Debt: ~33.93T)
Thank you. That's really making me happy to know this. The moon is freaking far, the dollar is incredibly thin, and we owe 9 times and some more than the distance. I hope we can just make robots fight for the outcome and call it even. Have a new free world by 2030 or something. That would be true America. Get rich off of doing no work and never pay back the people you owe before the rise of indisposable tech that rules the world.
I was taught that plants don't grow towards the sun, but that UV radiation from the sun damages the cells facing the sun, which slows the growth on that side. The shaded side grows at a more rapid pace there by making it longer causing the curve. I can't back it up with research but it is what I was taught years ago at university.
Not true. If you live in a cold climate try throwing a cup of cold water outside, then near-boiling water. The hot water will make snow, while the cold water will just hit the ground. It does to be extremely cold for this to work, but it does.
> The state of Florida is bigger than England Looking at that "true size of" map, it seems like it might be bigger than the whole of Great Britain...oh, no, no apparently it isn't. But I just thought it was weird you said "England" but didn't have the Florida area overlaid on England, rather than covering half of Scotland and out into the Eastern Atlantic. xD
I wonder what the breakdown is of libraries and McDonald’s in blue states vs red states. Considering red states have extremely high obesity rates and many of the residents are more interested in banning books than reading them I’m going to say it’s heavily skewed.
How to tell me you didnt research, verify, nor apply rational thought to the 'facts' in yet another 'facts' video without telling me you didnt research, verify, nor apply rational thought to the 'facts' in yet another 'facts' video.... I would say be better....but Im honestly losing hope humanity is capable of that.....
I'm thankful for the bugs that clean and take care of my skin on the regular.

This compilation is more interesting than most. Well done and thank you
I group of pandas is called an embarrassment
A group of bears is called a sleuth.
A group of parrots is aptly called a pandemonium.
A group of crows is called a murder. That's it. It's literally called a murder. A murder of crows. That sounds so wrong
A group of my family members is the real embarassment
@@lu9167it means I'm a panda.
My mum called me an embarrassment
1:19 Hell yeah, Murica!
Even if you had a piece of paper the size of the universe it's impossible to fold it 7 times manually by hand

So glad you're back
That banana /strawberry fact blew my mind. 😳( & plan on blowing some minds w/these facts when I see the fam today for Xmas👍)
Excellent entry, Adorian!
I love these "Fun Facts"!!! Please do more!!!!

So much new info in my brain!!!!! Thanx!!!!
A scientific fact is hot water will not freeze before cold water because it must get cold first.

I call bullshit on more iterations of chess games than atoms in the universe. How do you even count the atoms?
1:27 wow
The 2nd one is a widespread misconception. New Horizons proved this wrong, and revealed Pluto is actually slightly bigger than Russia
2:38 97% of the people watching this video just tried to hum while holding their nose.
Not a blue whale, not the original London bridge. Hot water will not freeze quicker than cold.
5:21 Hummingbirds aren’t the only birds that can fly backwards. It’s been noted in other species.
I can hum while holding my nose.
The Amazon produce 20 % of the oxygen, but consumes 15%^^
Hooray!!!! My 8 year old and I were worried you had left for good. Welcome back!!!!
Love this channel and the vids buut idk aboit the chess one……

Another noted fact is Alaska is just half of the US in term of size. 🤓
How's married life?
i can hmm with no nose!!!
Yeah that one is wrong.

Technically, Bananas are herbs
Owls can fly backwards
Humans have a KD like 1000000 to 1
How is folding a sheet of paper 42 times is gonna get my ass to the moon? 🧐😐
The thickness if you could fold it 42 times equals distance to moon
@@weldon9254 it’s gonna have to be a big-ass sheet I need to see and proven. That’s insane ..
Nobody knows what a million pounds is try 45,000 tons! What is the obsession with enormous numbers of small units?

Hot water does not freeze faster than cold.
Cold water will not boil faster than warm.
Quit mindlessly repeating this stupidity.
