Thanks Robert! I think that was almost my favorite for the day. It was the last one I came across too, so I, thankful the weather held out just a little longer
These images and video footage are amazing. How beautiful, I have never been out to California. I love morning like this. Thank you Brian, I look forward to watching more of your videos. Have a wonderful evening. :)
Thank you Sandra, glad you enjoyed it! California is an interesting part of the world. It has such dramatically different climates and environments. Even just 30 miles from this location is some of the hottest, driest, flattest desert, while this is wet, foggy and rugged cliffs. Hope you have a great evening as well, and thanks for watching!
Fabulous film Brian 👏🏻 That fog provided the ideal conditions in which to shoot the pines , providing separation where there would ordinarily be none. It’s hard to imagine the endangered nature of the tree species and their water source being the water droplets ! I love the mist and fog for photography and listening to the ocean below out of sight was so relaxing . We’re in lockdown in the UK and I’m decorating at the moment so this was a welcome interlude 👍🏻
Hi Andrew, thanks for tuning in and glad you enjoyed it! It really was the ideal amount of fog... enough to see through and provide the atmosphere, but not so much that shooting was impossible. The backstory of this park is interesting, so definitely felt compelled to share the thought process behind focusing on a single type of tree! I saw the notification that you posted a video of Ireland, have it open in another tab for when I have my next break!
Great photos on this venture. The atmosphere and the setting is haunting yet beautiful at the same time. Sorry, the fog always reminds me of ghost stories. At least now I know a great place to film one. Haha
Thanks Jason! And haha, I can see that. Maybe it’s because it was early in the morning I didn’t feel any of the eerie sensations. It was surprisingly peaceful with birds chirping and waves crashing in the distance. It’s a great spot for when the fog rolls in!
Nice Brian, that was quite relaxing video, halfway through I was wondering if you were shooting in B&W or if that was just the fog, glad I waited for the answer. Loved the photos, especially the verticals of the agaves and pines. Well done!
Thanks Christopher! I'm glad you enjoyed them, definitely a perfect morning. I started editing with color but the fog just washed out almost all of the color anyway!

A perfect hike shrouded in mist and really great b/w captures. Thanks for sharing information on the Torrey Pines too; had no idea.
Thank you Sarah! It was a really great morning for a hike there, and hasn't been that covered in fog in months! Thanks for tuning in.
An excellent video, Brian. Beautiful photos. The last one is my fave. Thanks.
Thanks for tuning in Rad! And glad you liked that one, it’s a bit different from the others

@@brianbeattyphotography I use to be fearless (a few decades ago)... but Height and Crowds are no longer my favorite things :)
I don’t think either one ever were my favorite things :)
Man that mist shot around 7-730👌
