    Watching your videos shows us arm chair farmers just how much responsibility you have to make sure your animals have enough food to eat. Those of us with a cat or dog just have to worry about going to the store and get the food. Farmers have to grow their own, worrying about yields, rainfall, weeds, fertilizer and everything else that goes into growing plants. Thank you for what you do.

The why , what , where and when of the day to day operations are cool to see. I would also like to see the why, what and when of crop plantings and animal husbandry.

Getting clean, sanitary bedding,free health care, and all of the balanced diet they can eat, while the Dairymen skip meals, work long hours, and lose sleep when there's a problem... Kudos to y'all! Great video, and you show the work that goes into making food for the people that can't make food. 👍, my brother!

    Don’t worry about your conventional silage variety. It’ll be well fermented by the time you’re into it, which is very important. You inoculate and the starch levels will be good. Rest eeezzz

    • @alisciamarotta3888
      @alisciamarotta3888 9 месяцев назад

      Saw dust adds carbon to soil, it's a good thing 😊

    • @billcreed6882
      @billcreed6882 9 месяцев назад

      @@alisciamarotta3888 I'm sure your correct. I just read where pure wood materials like sawdust and wood shavings are super-high in carbon, and their carbon will absorb all of the plant-feeding nitrogen in your soil in its quest to decompose.

    • @carolynrose753
      @carolynrose753 9 месяцев назад

      It does end up in the fields and it has so much nutrients from cow effluent that it is an excellent fertilizer. Sawdust by itself is a soil conditioner in the end but does take away before it gives back as far as nitrogen goes.

      @MorganOtt-ne1qj 9 месяцев назад +1

      They have several different bunks of different feeds. They balance the nutrition from each so the cows get enough of everything they need every day. When they empty a bunk, they already know which one to open next, and adjust ration accordingly. Great Question!

      Temporary. You burn them off in less than a minute, and within an hour they don't notice it. No blood, no open wound, and safety for the other animals as well as the people who work with them. The paste is caustic soda, and can be rubbed onto skin and hooves, causing other problems. Gouging leaves an open wound, and is painful for days or even weeks after. Great question!
