Loadouts are a Rabbit Hole. No matter how well planned , always need re thinking !
It’s something that is always “a work in progress”
Tool Logistics is a game you can never win ; but you can greatly improve your performance , minutes saved quick add up to hours !
Yes it does 👍
@@MORGANSMaintenance I’m a dirty Bastid ! I’ll take any shortcut that doesn’t impact quality / performance !
Perfect timing. I just got my SB-LD yesterday. I purchased the MCT Blackout for the promo. I also have a TP-LC as my truck grab bag. I’m not exactly sure what this bag will become. I like the idea of a drill bag with the M12 installation driver.
I got a DP3 as the free bag with a TP-LC, and it fits the M12 installation driver; that's what my wife is using now.
I’m not sure if I’m switching to the MB5B yet or sticking with the MCT Blackout. The MCT Blackout has been my favorite bag so far, so it’s hard to pull away from it.
I’m working on getting the DP3 myself.
This is an incredibly well thought out set up and very well presented thank you very much
Appreciate it 👍👍
With constant new tools coming out and new bags it's impossible to get the perfect tool setup , it'd never light enough.
That’s why I like my pouches, they make it so I can’t over do it 😂
You are right.
I load my pliers the same way make to much sense awesome video! 😎
I like it much better that way.
Appreciate it 👍👍
Very nice loadout! I was in Lowe’s the other day and saw a new Klein flip socket that goes up to 3/4!
Yeah I’ve seen that one at mine too. If they ever sell the sockets individually I may get it.
Very nice load out. Don’t we all love r Veto tool pouch’s. So enjoy ur videos, this is #3 Veto for me. Keep up the great videos. 🧰🧰
Appreciate it 👍👍
Looks like a pretty slick and well thought out loadout. Great use of that 8-in-1 sheath too!
It makes it really nice. It would either be falling out or hard to get otherwise
In my option here’s what you can get rid of:
Side cutters- you have the knifed carpenter style , the LN47ACF and the knipex installation pliers all with cutters.
You have the Klein stubby so you don’t need the Wera mini screwdriver.
The knipex pliers wrench is technically an adjustable wrench so I would carry 1 of each. And they can compliment each other if you needed to use them on opposing sides of a nut.
I think you can either get rid of the Kleins but drivers or the flip sockets, since they’re one and the same.
And as you mentioned, you don’t need the hex keys AND the ball end.
Remember what they say “ounces are pounds and pounds are tons”
I know.. at the beginning you know how it is… what will “fit” 😂😂
Even making the video some of your same thoughts were dawning on me.
Appreciate it 👍
Nice set of tools, i also own those knipex pliers and cutters, also own vessell screwdrivers, love the torque you can put on them..
They are my 100% favorite right now. Other than my impact 11-1, I pretty much only use them.
Looking forward to getting this I just got myself a TPXD and love it already
It’s a pretty good bag. The spot in the back makes it a little unique 👍
Nice, well thought, mature loadout. We will draw a veil over the fact that its cost exceeds a GDP of a small country.
I did at least borrow tools from other bags instead of buying all new 😂
👍👍
Got mine for free!!
Nice bag & load-out ... I finally got my metric impact flip sockets by Vaco and I like them ... Thx
The flip sockets are a good option to get several sizes in one package. I don’t use the metric that often, but never mad I have them when I do.
That was beautiful 🥲🤧👏
😂… appreciate it
Got this on the way as a freebie along with the TP-XXL - makes it much easier to pull the trigger on a premium-priced bag when you get two. I'm pretty stoked to be receiving two very promising looking bags both with nice meter compartments. This SB-LD could end up my main bag because of that. Very nice & well-designed bag by the look of things - as expected of Veto at this point - I can't wait to get them. The size of the pile of tools out of these things contain is always surprising - like a clown car.
Seems like your setup covers most things you could encounter in many trades. In addition to some of what you have, I'll have a Wera tool check in mine, along with a Milwaukee Fastback 1505, and their new 8pc insulated slim-tip blade driver set '48-22' which are nice. Might consider your 51 01 210 carpenters cutters/hammerhead as a hammer stand-in (for things like wire staples)!
I am always amazed at what they will hold. I thought about the XXL but ended up with the MB5B, still unsure about it.
I carry a 1505 in my pocket all the time, really good knife.
I agree with you on removing a set of Allen bits. I would probably give up the flip sockets since you have the pass though nut setters and the Milwaukee crescent wrench
Yeah, I think I can lose either the flip sockets or the pass thru’s..
I may have to run the pass thru’s for awhile and see if the length is too long, too often. If so I may have to keep the flip sockets instead since I can put them on shorter shafts.
Nice load out morgan . Shame that rover light couldn't fit in there. Also if your not gonna use your installation driver heads much might be a good trade out for an extra m12 battery. I always try to keep a extra battery close by. Thanks again morgan see you on the next one
I might end up doing the battery for the offset. I don’t usually run into needing it as often as the right angle. 👍👍
Great to see your load out, thanks for sharing. I am finding the small outside pocket a little larger and don't hold tools quite as nicely. Also found that the bit hold sockets inside the front pouch are smaller and don't hold my 3/8 drive deep sockets and extension like my other bag.
The side pockets are a little weird on sizes to me. Too big or too small for most things.
Nice look at that bag. It certainly fits a lot. I need to finish a TP-LC loadout, then decide if I want a SB-LD (plus another free DP3), or wait for the TP-LD. I'm inclined to think I'll wait.
I would like to have a flap myself. That’s just like it was raining here today and even with the bag in my truck with the doors open, I still got some sprinkles on my tools. Just opens them up for rust (not mine since I clean and Houdini the Fire out of them)… but for most.
@@MORGANSMaintenance yeah, with the TP-XXL on the way and this SB-LD as a freebie.. despite wanting to possibly downsize even more, lack of a flap against rain is one reason I might stick with the TP-XXL as a main. We'll have to see. Solid 'freebie' promos like this of well-designed & made products seem rare this day & age.
Great video, great load out. I see you liked those Snap-On LN47ACF’s. I like that parts case.
Yeah they are amazing for gripping and pulling on stuff. They will not let go. The smaller pair has Becky my electrical locknut pliers. Best tool for those I’ve seen yet.
I also got the MB5B with this one, found the MB5B kind of heavy, went with the SB-LD for HVAC troubleshooting, great side and rear storage.
👍👍.. I haven’t got my MB5B loaded out yet. Hope to spend some time on it next week. May finally have a small window between jobs.
I do like this bag though (still be better with a flap)
That was informative to say the least. 👍
Sigh I try to lighten my bag and then end up tossing something else in the empty spot.. I can never win. 🤣
Me too. I guess as long as we replace each one with a lighter object we will make some progress 😂
@@MORGANSMaintenance 😂 true, or I take something out, then two jobs later I need it for something.
I have to resist the urge to stick a tool in every empty myself "I don't need that but it may come in handy!"" As you carry a 40 plus lb bag
@@MattHmm-rq6dn that’s exactly what’s happening here 😂
@@gnic76 the only way I think I could make that not happen… will be the day I can pull my truck into a person’s living room.. 😂
First awesome video. I really enjoy all your videos. I would really like to know if the surge fits when you get it. That will sell me on it.
It does fit. Mine is fairly tight because of the Nohlster, but just regular would fit easy
@@MORGANSMaintenance awesome. Thank you very much
@@CarlosMartinez-mj6cu 👍
Can we get a video of all the b-swap panels you are running in the 5B I’m about to purchase an would like to see what can be can ran, I do low voltage an wanna run the meter box with the Joey as the tool holder, great videos as always.
I didn’t buy any extra than the ones that came in it, but I’m able to make some of the ones from my MCT fit. I’ve mostly just been moving them around in different locations.
Awesome!
Appreciate it 👍👍
Great Vid. I got the Tech XL-Wheeler which I'm currently loading which will be my "Mac Daddy" bag then I got the SB-LD still waiting on. My current main bag is my TP XXL which I love by the way. I think I can make the SB-LD my main carry in bag with the MPX1 or 2. I'm trying not to duplicate but I'm worried I'll forget my mpx1/2 one day and I won't have my main top 5 tools duplicated . But great tips. The Decisions to make on how to load bags are mind boggling.
That looks like a good bag too.
Yeah I am an over thinker when it comes to organizing. I have found just trying something and adjusting over time is better for me than just starting at the bag (or my truck) and thinking 😂
It’s always hard, especially if you are like me and do so many different things.
I recently got the Tech-XL Wheeler as well. Boy, my wallet hurts! That is my general purpose bag now. It's nicer wheeling my tools around instead of lugging them. I first tried the Tech Pac Wheeler but couldn't fit all of the my tools in there (and didn't like that the backpack straps were not removable). The SB-LD will be my electrical bag, whenever I get it.
If you need wego storage I tend to use AA battery cases thay interlock
Chadou
Battery Storage Case for AA or AAA, Battery Holder Box (6 Pack Clear)
Little plastic cases for aa's and they hold 5 or so perfectly flat and I can seprate 2s 3s 5s and other consumables like outlet spacers in them. They fit really well in thoes laptop back pockets. My main packout for electrical has 10 or so of them keeping all the specialty stuff separated. I paint marker on the front of them w2 w3 w5 ect... they lock into each other easy to make a sheet of consumables 👍
Yeah I actually have some of those. Brian Hall mailed me some. Good idea 👍
Morgan loved the video and finally great to see a loadout for this bag. I do a lot of low voltage work and been looking to get this as bag for my hand tools and meters. I think my favorite part of your video is the Klein 8 in 1 stubby with the Riley sheath where it clicks in perfectly. I found it on Riley Knife and Tool website but was just curious if that's the only place to purchase it. Also curious how its been holding out and if you ever notice any wear over time. I'm in the same boat with many that either the stubby goes in too far or inadvertently pops out and drives me crazy! Thank you!
I don’t think he is selling them on anything else. He still hand makes them all individually as far as I know.
I haven’t had any issues with any of mine. The stubby one is really just a sheath and some fasteners so I can’t see it really tearing up, especially how I’m using it.
I have some of his for my bigger screwdrivers that have belt clips on them. I haven’t had any issues with those either, but I also only use them in special circumstances.. not everyday.
They seem quality built to me, but even if you have an issue multiple people have reached out saying how easy he has been to deal with on support. I’m sure he would make it right.
Great video! Somehow i missed this one but glad it popped up in my feed. I have the icon mini ratchet set and im looking to squeeze it in with minimal footprint but i really want to have 1/4 sockets to pair with it. Are the klein flip sockets a viable/space saving option or would I be better suited using the maktia socket rails you have shown? I have similar railer bit rails to cover bits.
The flip sockets work, just not as small a footprint as the Makita Sockets on the hex adapter that comes with the Icon.. you can get them in tighter spaces.
For general use out in the open, the flip sockets do fine.
I cut down my drill bit set to 5 drill bits on a tiny railer and "veto'd" all my hoex bits down to the 2in ball end set dumped the 1in ones and lost a pound or so. I have almost dumped the side cutters as well as the linesman for the marvel cross cut combo pliers (engineer vampliers makes one) since that does twisting and cutting 90% of the time. The side cutters 10in may stick around but the linesman have been exiled
Marvel Pliers MVA-200N seem to be the best over the Taiwan engineer/vampliers but you have to import them sadly but cut easily as well as my forged wire strippers and don't have much head to jam in a box in tight spaces
I think I can get by without my bit set, and just put my most common bits in those bit holders… then use the 11-1 for the Squares, Slotted, ECX if I need them in a drill (which isn’t often.
I haven’t carried Lineman pliers in along time. I will check out out those pliers 👍
I ordered that little brush. Really neat item. Did Klein tell you when the metric sockets would be out? I also ordered that Sperry NCV. I haven't used it but played around with it.
They didn’t say. Some have been seeing the set they sent on the shelves, so hopefully the metric won’t be far behind.
I plan on keeping the Sperry in whatever is my bigger bag with my testing stuff.
Just subscribed feller,,,looking into catching up with your videos 👍👍👍
Appreciate that 👍👍
@@MORGANSMaintenance thanks for heads up I never knew klein did the flip sockets in our silly metric,,,,god if only we stuck with feet and inches 🤔😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤣
@@sparkiegaz3613 my carpenter side gets why metric would be much easier. Sometimes the fractions get a little crazy. It would be nice to just say, add, and subtract numbers.
@@MORGANSMaintenance mmm I tend look at the old inch side of the tape more 🤭👍🤣🤣🤣🤣
I know it sounds crazy but I wore a mp1 with a basic loadout every day all day (when i was working as an hvac tech full time) it cut down on how much was in my tech bag because I was always going to have that mp1
Yeah, I pull out my MP pouches more than anything. I may need to think like that. Take a MP pouch anyway, then take the similar tools out of the bag 👍
@@MORGANSMaintenance yep I always had a beater flat head Klein hvac screw driver knipex dykes knipex forged strippers assorted markers and drill bits and razor knife and a multi meter in my back pocket so you could open your driver door and walk in and probe enough at the problem to figure out what else you need. I’m now a general contractor and my daily driver is dimondback mazo that just changes based on what environment I’m working in.
@@brandongarner2895 👍
I think this was the video where you mentioned you wished the SB had a cover. Veto makes a TP-LC as well as this bag. Found it on their website by accident. It does have a cover for the main compartment
Yeah, I have the TP-LC. It was a free bag before. I really like it. It is pretty similar, a few more tool slots up front, but without the zipper section in the back.
Had the SBLD not had the section in the back I wouldn’t have even tried it, I would have preferred the LC for the flap.
Appreciate the heads up 👍
@@MORGANSMaintenance sorry I missed typed. TP-LD Blackout. It must be smaller than last year's LC because the panels swap between both of the LC's
@@southwood308 LD or XD? I see an XD… I had actually looked at that one before but it wasn’t available to order yet… I see it is now
I just found the LD…that is actually the one I saw that wasn’t available yet. It looks nice
Tool totes , bags ect are so limited here in Africa. The cost to ship a Vito bag here costs what the bag does.
Watching with envy ..lol
Sometimes we take things for granted not realizing it’s not something everybody has the opportunity for…
That’s in tool bags and life 😂
Maybe one day they will make it your way
I'm waiting on my SB-LD after getting the Tech-XL wheeler. I assume that Veto will let me know when it ships. I'll be making the SB-LD my electrical bag. Those adjustable wrenches and the two pliers wrenches seem rather redundant. I'd get rid of the adjustables. Though, I carry one pliers wrench and one Bahco big-mouth adjustable. The Bahco to hold the work piece and the pliers wrench to do the wrenching. All of the nut drivers and the flip sockets seem redundant as well.
They normally send you info through the process.
Appreciate the suggestions. All those make sense 👍
I traded my 10in pliers wrench for a oil filter wrench because most of the time if it's that big its plumbing related and has alot of uses besides plumbing on big nuts. Like you I run 2 small bahco adjustable 10in cobras and 7in cobra/pliers wrench rarely do I need big nuts like that. The bahco adjustable wrenches are lighter than thoes in your bag or go lobster which are crazy light. My rigid one stop wrench has almost replaced my 7in pliers wrench as well at times since if it needs open ended its on the one stop.
Yeah my 10” may end up going too. I rarely need them (for what I will be using this bag for) and those are heavy.
My truck is usually within 50 feet of where I’m working too. That’s what I have to weed out. If it’s a once every 50 jobs to go 50’… who cares. If it’s every 5, it needs to be in the bag.
10" pliers wrench is way too big compared to the 10" cobras. Would love a smaller version of those, like the 180mm pliers wrench head size but with longer 10" handles. The 180s are good too but sometimes they're too small.
@@onikwa the 10’s are a beast. It’s what you grab to protect yourself 😂
How much does the bag weigh with all your tools in place?
@@jorgegrioli1136 01:26 22lbs
I wonder if you could fit the Fluke 324 in the back pouch somehow still with the installation driver. And then could the M12 rover light fit on the outside where you had the meter?
Just an idea, I know you said the back is your favorite part of the bag so don’t mess it up if you like the back with just the drill.
I think I can, I was thinking of trying that myself. I generally get my meter out on a lot of calls, so I was leaving it in the outside… but I may can leave my leads plugged in and wrapped around in the back.
Will have to try it and see 👍
Do you know of any other bag that is comparable? I'm looking for something similar to that size and function for when I need to build a quick go bag from other dedicated larger bags. $150 is a little rich for my blood.
There aren’t a lot of people that make middleish sized bags. It’s usually either pouches or big bags.
I carried a Husky bag before and liked it ok. I would go to Lowe’s and zoomed Depot and see what they have in ToughBuilt and Husky
God you keep your gear clean
I try to. That is a brand new bag, I just got it… but I do typically wipe off my tools and keep them lubricated.
Does anyone know how to get veto pro pac in Mexico. Those bags are nice. But I think they don’t ship to Mexico
Ebay, I'm in Alaska and get wrecked on shipping going thru Veto.
I don’t, but EBay sounds like a good suggestion 🤷♂️
I personnel use pass through nut drivers unless I'm in a commercial unistrut situation if don't don't see using thoes a ton there a pound or 2 of metal not clanking around.
Yeah, they might be the first thing that ends up going. I can generally use a wrench to get whatever either torqued down or broke loose after the finger spinning. Not a huge time saver to have those all the time.
👍👍👍
Appreciate it 👍
How are you attaching the patch on front?
I took a piece of scrap aluminum I had and put some hook/loop on it. Then screwed a tape measure clip on it
