Best martial arts technique tutorials on RUclips. I love how intellectual you are in your explanations, with your integration of basic concepts which build upon one another to create something greater. Keep it up!
Our school is attending a tournament this weekend, and I've been using your videos to refresh my point fighting approach. It's been several years since I've competed in point fighting, but your information is helping me and my students prepare to be our best tomorrow. TANG SOO!
Awsome video! The reason I like your video is because you always brought some very detailed stuff that other people usually don't mention, and that is very helpful. Keep doing it.
It was very helpful! as I have been a bit weak in hook kick and turning hook kick, this has made my day! really wonderful explanation and awesome demonstration. It's worth subscribing you!
Van Roon Martial Arts It worked very well in sparring. I was able to use this technique in class without taking my partners head off. Thanks for responding and I can’t wait to try spinning version next.
i just found out van roon martial arts from style bender fight camp video and i just hooked ever since, really love you style of TKD combining deadliest kicking technique and great boxing 🙏, i hope you keep us with more amazing content. love and support from indonesia 👍
Hi Sir. Really enjoyed this tutorial. I've watched alot of your videos but I usually watch the ones that are relative as a total novice student. I'm 56 so entering this wonderful journey now and my hips are the thing I'm wanting to get flexable. Aside to stretching exercises. I'm a strong guy physically and still of good fitness as played drums to high level for 50 yrs. I'm in Aberdeen , northeast Scotland 🏴👊 and go to hour lessons 3 to 4 times a week UKTC ITF. Best life choice I've made. I'm only 13 lessons in but I do practice at home and have a couple of good books. I've been more focused mentally from moment I committed myself to the Art. Thank you.
Hey Sir great content keep it coming! Any plans to cover the mechanics of a back kick/ reverse side kick in the future? I’m having some problems with over rotation when performing these techniques
I just tried the eggbeater a little bit. Then I tried together with the Universal Chamber and I was surprised how easy I was able to throw a "Hook Kick". It wasn't perfect or so high, but I felt great.
Sorry for my english but i cant believe i just Hear now this egg beater technique , its gonna help me so mutch . I struggle for A long time with my hook kick/ spinning h. Kick . I have all the flexibility en can do full split but this is gonna help me so mutch
Great tutorials! I already learned a lot from your videos, they are very helpful. Thanks If possible show us the position of your feet in the upcoming tutorials i think i could be very helpfully.
Why do you perform the turning kick with your flatting foot ? We kick with our footpad. What are the benefits or is there in practice no difference ? Thank you for these nice high quality videos, really appreciate it :D
Flat sole of the foot gives you more reach, heel concentrates the force if you want to do damage. If you just want to slap someone with control, you use the sole. Hope that helps
Thank you 🙏I started Martial Arts 25 years ago at age 10, I'm 35 now. I earned my blackbelt in Karate at 15 years old and ITF TKD blackbelt at 17. I started kickboxing at around 17 years and went onto compete around the world in TKD, Kickboxing and Karate. It's been my life's passion. Retrospectively, I did take a little long to undertake gradings. I think my focus was on attempting to win world championships etc. Currently I have a 4th Dan in a few styles of Karate, a blackbelt with WAKO Kickboxing, and a 3rd Dan in ITF Taekwon-Do.
Dear Sir, Is it normal if I can only to that rotational swing for only my left leg and not my right one? What can I do in order to improve the weak side about this? Thank you so much and wish you a nice day!
Most of us have a dominant side! Hang in there and you will improve. One of the best ways to practice is in slow motion. This will develop a lot of control, balance and strength.
Hi there I am really enjoying your clips I am a 1st Dan I really struggle with the speed required to make this kick practical in sparring if I am doing bag work I can land with nice power and decent accuracy butwhen it ocmes to sparring I struggle to set this kick up especially against quicker opponents, I am just over 6ft and 235 to 240lb so I am aware my fitness needs work and I am making that a work in progress and so naturally through this my fitness strength and balance should improve making the kick quicker. I was wondering are there any specific drills that you use to work on the speed of kicks overall. Thanks for you r fantastic videos I really enjoy them and using them to try and improve my Taekwondo.
Thank you very much Mr Gray. Please don't be discouraged. You will get there my friend. I will be releasing more videos as time goes on so please stay tuned for more tips. Best of luck with your health and fitness goals. One step at a time!

@@Zeeshankhan-re4uf didn't mean it in a rude way, my apologies if you took it that way. and of course I agree with you that we all have different needs. total respect for that. I was just trying to say that as we have the chance to receive rare and precious tips from van roon in a field in which he is excellent, it would be a shame to orientate him towards something more casual and common. making a good video takes time, and I personally enjoy him spending his energy on producing original content rather than making his own version of some info which already exist in 1000 other videos :)
