To this day, I will hold that it's a missed opportunity that as rattlegore gets smaller it's voice line doesn't get pitch shifted higher and higher.
Rattlegore is the goat. I still remember during Darkmoon Faire where all you had to do to beat the Tickatus Warlock matchup was drop 1 or 2 of these bad boys and just keep going face

For all we know dragonbane was on top. Can’t use hindsight based on unknown variables.

He had a weapon to kill his opponent.
Personally I would have played the Dragonbane along with the anti-magic shell on turn 9. Leaves a 5/7 minion that the gnomes can't kill themselves, and cannot be targeted by spells or the hero power. Not even saying this in hindsight, as it was the play I thought he was going to make when his turn rolled around.
If he had, he had a high likelihood of winning. And I think in this specific scenario, he would have won, but of course he had no way of knowing.
Either way, a swing with woecleaver felt wrong to me. Establishing a sticky minion that was immune to spell/HP targeting seemed like the right move to ensure lethal the following turn.
I assume roffle will say Rattlegore a lot in this video

Why is it that at every Hearthstone video that mentions Rattlegore, no matter who the uploader is, someone needs to come up with the incredibly original idea that it would be cool if his voice should be pitched higher every time he dies?
I don't think it's that they're pitching it as original. If nobody spreads a good/fun idea then it's a lot harder for those things to be made reality. Something about a tree falling in a forest I think? Regardless, I watched a Trump video where the editor did it and it was absolutely hilarious. Spread love not complaints :)

Hehe, I’ve been playing a deck similar to this for a couple of years or so - a long time. I’ve got a bunch, 12 or so, 1 mana cost ‘discover a taunt/rush/mech creature’ and put it in your hand as ‘defense’. Defense? What’s that. The three mana cost 2/2 weapon, spellburst, ‘put an X/X taunt into play = to that spells cost’ is pretty useful for turns 6 and 7 when you ‘recruit/summon’. I’m just using 1 copy right now.Also, the 9 mana cost spell, ‘put 3 creatures from your hand into play give them rush’ is pretty useful. I’ve taken it out of my deck before. . .it cost 9 mana. . .but surprisingly, the deck seems better with it in there.
15:52 The only argument I can think of for “favoring” classes is to cause the face of the meta to change each expansion, but it’s far more likely that they are supporting underperforming and popular decks/classes and occasionally miss the mark

Scenario A: Hearthstone is an incredibly complex card game with literally thousands of cards and innumerable interactions, which makes balacing it amazingly difficult.

To be fair the 1 dev that loves secret mage is the only one on record to care about wild. He probably has been vetoed more than once. Although in fairness to the opposing viewpoint, I imagine every dev has had a bad idea vetoed more than once.

In regards to the topic of developers intentionally making a class worse there COULD be some reason behind it. It depends a lot on what they're trying to maximize and what nets them the most profit. If they feel retention rate is important, and find data to suggest that control warrior lowers retention rate they might consider it's balance carefully. That said, I don't believe that that's what they're trying to maximize. Profit for Hearthstone likely comes primarily from big spenders who want to either own all the cards, or all the decks. In the latter case having a varied meta with a large number of viable decks would be in their favor.
It could be a mix of them, but you've got to keep in mind that devs try as they may won't know for sure how cards and decks will shake out in a meta until it's brought to the public. They can test, and test, but so many factors will decide whether decks sink or swim that sometimes a card that they thought would be powerful turns out to be too weak (or that multiple prominent decks annihilate it making the deck lower tiered than it would normally be).

What's the story behind RATTLEGORE!?
Is Hearthstone less P2W in 2023? I see a lot of cool new cards and strategies from where I left off sone many years ago. But it's worth returning to?
Hearthstone has never been p2w except for maybe 9 months in the entire game's history. Aggro decks are as always cheap and easily winnable. It is like always pay to have fun though.

@@erfansalehi9053 After I tried the Druid Aggro after a couple times. I realized that it's cheap indeed but barely winnable.
@@broccoli7817 I haven't played in 3 months either. Last time I was on I got to legend with pirate rogue in wild and then uninstalled. Current Meta is unknown to me too. Try and netdeck until diamond 5 and then put Meta appropriate tech card in your Meta deck of choice. Most of the time, easy legend.
