my great grandparents were from Germany and i remember this tune played in a music box when i was a child. may i ask what is the song title. edit: magic flute.
I've always wondered what the bell sounds were that accompanied other instruments in Jazz, 60's Pop, Classical and Progressive Rock. I would see "glockenspiel" sometimes listed in the credits for which instruments were played by who in the band, and always wondered what it was but just shined it on for many, many years. (Genesis is one band that used to list who played which instruments on their albums in the 70's. I think they stopped listing this in the late 89', 90's and beyond). It took me 30 years to finally google "bell sounding music instrument". I am ecstatic now that I know, and now I want one of these! 😊. Loved this presentation!
Gratulations! What a dreamlike sound and what a beautyfull, funktionel handcraftwork. Soon I will use the glockenspielsound in my arangment: "You see them here!" Thank you, team Kolberg...ABBI...sweden
Sou do Brasil, gostaria de saber a valor em reais, e se enviam para o Brasil, com desconto. Gosto muito do Glockenspiel tenho um que comprei nos USA, mas esse da Kolberg gostei muito e o som é bem melhor.
Isn't it a little bit changed melody from "Rockin' Kats" NES game? When i sang it along, it fitted.. not of course it is the only melody that'd fit it, but I'm curious :) thanks. Beautiful sound!

Hi, the material of the handles of course has an influence on the rebound of the mallet and of course also on the weight. So there is definitely an influence. What fits best is best tried out live.

ugh the tune that the jewelry box was playing in Silence of the Lambs. 😱😱 I see a cat, I follow the cat, I see the mannequin...I open the closet door...I sort through the clothes. omggggg
So expensive... I woukd rather buy the Fall Creek RT-1500 because its 3.6 octaves... Yeah. 3.6 octaves because its has F8. Kolberg has only up to E8 + Fall Creek is just 1,495$ while kolberg is more than 4000$ (This model on their shop) . Btw Sustain pedal is not an issue for me because it always sustain like deagan. So if i need to stop the sustain, ill just put my both arms.
That tune was beautiful.
It's from Magic Flute by Mozart. "Das klinget so herrlich" = "That sounds so lovely".

Does a wood handles or any other material of the handles makes a specific sound on the glockenspiel or do they sound the same?
