    Yes, as mentioned - Good video on subject largely ignored. * Any info on whether you can leave this block heater plugged in overnight, without harm ? (some of the coolant heaters are MAX 4HR , which this is not that type). Also, is the wattage listed ? Thanks

    • @Tyler_Koehn
      @Tyler_Koehn  5 лет назад +3

      Thanks Bud, I'm sure you can leave it plugged in overnight. We leave vehicles at work plugged in for months at a time. I wouldn't think twice about that. Being said though i use a timer just for the simple fact of cost to power. I have it set to turn on 3hrs prior to leaving for work. As for wattage I never did see anything on it but i see the aftermarket "Kat's" brand has a 400watt rating on theirs so i would think it would be in that vicinity. Hope this helps. Defiantly worth it!

    So how long does it take to change out the block heater cord and block heater out of a 2019 Dodge ram classic I’ve brought my truck in three times and they still cannot remove it. They’re saying it seized into the motor so now they’re worried about cracking the block. It’s cost me $1000 each time they cannot remove it. How many times do I have to keep paying for something that is not fixed

      @@Tyler_Koehn Good deal, will do. I believe those 8 speeds have transmission heaters that use engine coolant so it would warm that fluid up sooner as well. @@Tyler_Koehn Update on my Jeep Grand Cherokee 2014 hemi 5..7 install: There is less space for sure, but the install process was quite the same, started shield, started and then put the heater. I had to bend the heater just a little bit so I could go in without removing the cat (was mm, almost nothing). but it went in. TOP for any Jeep owner: Installe it with the CABLE CONNECTED, since after that you dont have space to insert your hand to connect the cable. so, put the cable from the top and connect it to the heater and then slide it in.
      My heater consumes 5amps, so is 600w (mopar original, same part number as the ram 1500). I saw some questions of people asking the power consumption.
