Hi! Do you have book recommendations to learn more about opals? ❤
The Chair Spin Freaking Classic! ❤
A classic for the ages 👌 sweet
Those are some nice opals. I’m just getting into cabbing. I found a huge source of quartz, agate, petrified wood and garnets. Probably going to be selling some. I might buy some opals though.
Nice cabbing creative and fun are the garnets facet grade ? Thanks for so much for watching check out next week's show we built a amazing studio.
@@GlobalProspecting possible. I never had anyone look at them. I have hundreds of them garnets
I did find some facet grade stones but not sure what they are
@@kertbert1 cool
Good to watch 🌍
in one of your replys you mention some people cut dry
is there any chance you could cut a stone dry to compare and demonstrate
cheers
Great Idea will Do !!
Left out some serious steps
There is some non hydrphane shewa opal but its a gamble one out of 10 pieces will be non hydrophane if your lucky to get one its worth quite a bit.
Gimana cara belanjanya
We will need an update.
We have lots cutting videos on our channel thanks for Watching appreciate it.
With as much opal you ground off, could not have made thin slices off the stone and kept them for inlay work?
True
Is it better to let the well opal dry before u start cutting or have it in water 1st?
I use water some like to cut it Dry
What do you use to remove the opal from the dop stick? Acetone?
I actually Whittle it off the stick actually works great.
How do you remove the opal? I tend to find lots of residue after removing from the dopstick and it's pretty annoying having to grind it off after. Any suggestions?
That's the only problem with the glue I scrape as much as I can then grind the remaining usually I finish the back by hand.
@@GlobalProspecting thank you!
@@GlobalProspecting When you say by hand, do you mean with a Dremel?
Do you have AAA grade rough for sale?
How do you prevent crazing?
The Ethiopian crystal opal will craze. Welo opal won't craze unless you press to hard when polishing.
Bravo👍👍👍 klo beli gimana caranya ?
THANKS FOR WATCHING APPRECIATE IT 🙏 😊 🙌 ☺
Whats the best site to buy Ethiopian opal from? Ive bought a few parcels from India and ive opened them to find absolute garbage. They advertise for large colourful opal but when I get it, its tiny, very cracked with not much colour 😢
WWW.GLOBAL-PROSPECTING.COM don't forget the - in the middle we sell the best cutting grade Ethiopian opal
@@GlobalProspecting thank you very much 😊💓
Have you ever had an opal crack after drying out? How do you mitigate that?
Slow moisture
Hi Robert, now I know why you don’t cut any Ethiopian opal when you do the Thursday night shows. There’s no instant results like with a Australian or Brazilian Opal. The Ethiopian is a longer process plus at the end. You have to let it dry to really see the results. Great video though I learned a lot. Thank you very much. See you on the channel. Lou.🙏🏼☺️
Did our last live Thanks so much for watching here is a link to our latest VIDEO ruclips.net/video/SR4PytUDGSw/видео.html
If you buy welo and it comes in water take out of water wrap in a paper towel put in plastic bag wait two weeks before cutting to allow water evaporation then its ready.
Is a shame I can't see the beautiful gem emerge as you polish it as the camera is too far away for me to see the process in depth. This stone turned out to be really pretty after your skilled work. Thanks😊
If you're taking suggestions, then more, better lighting, and more closeups during the process of cutting. If I can't see what you're doing clearly, it's just not that interesting. Thanks for sharing your work.
Thanks Richard if u check out our latest videos 100% better. That was one of the first videos we ever shot.
Did it craze?
No
