Yeah and it’s just fast because you just plug everything in set it up for 10mins and your done unlike a diy pc you waste hours of building it and you don’t even know how it will be at the end
Not true at all I just bought a used hp "gaming pc" for the card and cpu only cuz I got a low ball deal on it. My Best Buy still sells PC parts. They have computer cases, CPU's, GPU's, RAM, mother boards, M.2 storage, AIO coolers, power supplies, etc. Granted, the types of computer cases to choose from are limited, and they only carry certain brands, but you could buy parts to build a PC.
If you have access to a Microcenter, their in house pre-builts use name brand parts, Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, ect... Their prices are very competitive, pre-built premium seems to be a 100 or less. I bought one during the GPU drought during the pandemic. I normally build them, but during that time I basically bought a whole pc with a 3080 in it for the price a 3080 was going for at the time 🤣

I just got my PC from iBuyPower and couldn't be happier with it! I7-14700, 4070ti super with 32g DDR5 6000 in Lian li 216 case with 360mm AIO. A monster of a PC and paid $2250. Highly recommend.
I bought a Legion PC with the RTX 4070 a while back and it’s been doing great!!! It all comes down to how good you take care of your stuff. And making sure the prebuilt your buying is using regular size parts so it’s upgradable.
My friend was funneled into using a BestBuy CC to purchase. Managed to convince them NOT to get the Alienware they were looking at. Of course, the iBuyPower PC's AIO just kicked the bucket months into owning it. That was a fun time, guiding them through replacing it in a Discord voice chat. Not a bad buy otherwise.
From a person who has bought 3 Best Buy gaming PCs DONT DO THIS I’ve had to return all 3 of them now I have a custom pc that I’ve built bst ever decision I’ve made
Me too. Had a pre-built from 2020 until like a month ago. It ended up dying on me so I just built my own and it's incredible. Haven't had any weird issues like on the old one.
It took you buying 3 PC's from Best Buy before finally deciding to stop buying from them? You would think that after a bad experience with the 1st PC you wouldn't have bought a 2nd PC. 😂
While it sucks that you had those bad experiences, I'm glad you've got something that works well now! One note I would make is this: if anyone asks you where they can get a good pre-built because they don't want to build it themselves, don't pressure them into DIY if that's not of interest to them. They probably get that kind of message every time they try to get help. Instead, point them at a reputable SI like the ones I mentioned in this video and other videos on my channel. For those new to PCs, the extra cost is worth it to have a warranty and tech support, and there are some truly amazing builders out there!
If you're buying agaming laptop sure. But i agree with the intro. Generally speaking i dont like the best buy or walmarts pre-built options, but these pre-builts are fine if you're a grandparent buying something for the grandchildren. Its also possible to get your parents to buy one when you let the professionals to give your parents the sales pitch.
i agree i’d be very thankful with one of these. if it’s above a around 3070, 4060 GPU it’s not bad at all. i7F and i7k are good there are ways to stream and edit videos with both by downloading different softwares and programs and that’d being realistic. but i under stand they whole point of the differences and how most people will want to do gaming. well okay get a 3070 or higher. you’ll sure be able to run all the latest games easy.
Interesting your seeing Allied PC's there as they are Australian based and I didn't think they sold overseas due to the warranty they offer, would be too hard to keep overseas. The lowest Stinger model on their official site is an RX 580 2048 with Ryzen 3 4100 and it's $650USD with current conversion rates from AUD.
you gotta also factor in how long you’ve had it, if you just got the pc yes of course it will do good, have it for a year or two then you will notice problems
Best Buy does have their bonuses. I’m a Total Tech member and with that membership I automatically get a two year warranty on parts and labor on everything. Including gaming PC. I believe I hit a home run on Black Friday. I purchased a prebuilt 7800X3D, 4070 Super, 2TB NVMe, liquid cooled, 32GB 6000 memory in a beautiful case for $1429 including that 2yr warrantee on parts a labor. And yes I got an additional 5% back using my Best Buy credit card. The same PC is $1699 currently but I’ve seen it regularly go down to $1499. That’s still as cheap as building yourself.

This just saved me, about to purchase my first gaming pc and live in west Texas middle of nowhere and the only store in the next semi big town is Best Buy and I’m so overwhelmed on all these sites I was about to go to Best Buy, appreciate the video man
I bought my rig from Ibuypower and I must say I’ve had no major problems. No bloatware. I’ve added apps the help my system. Extremely fast 💨. I’m enjoying my system
What I learned looking a for pre built or buying parts and DIY . No matter how much money your gonna spend . For just a little bit more you can always get something better.
I purchased a SKYTECH PC directly from SKYTECH and although it had problems upon arrival, SKYTECH was all over it, made it right and I have a beast of a machine that benchmarks high for comparable builds . Also I priced the build by component had I decided to build it myself and found that I came out pretty good. this was especially true after SKYTECH swapped out the shipped 4090 GPU with another one that was 600.00 more than the shipped GPU. I can not say a bad thing about this company at all. I will purchase from SKYTECH again no problem .
I can say I like your pre-build advice for most things. But roasting Best Buy isn't very fair. They offer better customer service then any pre-build manufacturing facility will ever. They are a staple of technology. A I have been loving their deals for decades. Bought 4k monitors for under $200. Don't knock them for advertising other companies products.
Thank you very much. I have a Best Buy card, and I got myself a decent entry level.gaming laptop for a very good deal 18 months ago, and the no interest for a year made a big difference for me. But if I really find MMOs worth my time, I am going to want much better next year. My theory was that if I waited for a pre-built Lenovo Legion or HP Omen PC to go on super sale during the GPU generation transition phase next year, that would work, and I could upgrade later. But whereas I have seen some very sweet deals on RTX 4060 and 4070 laptops, I've never seen that happen for pre-builts, and you've convinced me that the same dollar value is better spent elsewhere. However, a thousand dollars is not on the table for me, so I think I will pass. Instead, I think I will slap an RTX 4060 into a refurbished workstation for $550ish, learn to tinker with it, and maybe build my own when I feel comfortable with it. I really appreciated your discussion and reasoning. Thank you again.
That makes sense to me! I cover this in my disclaimers. If you're on the fence about pre-built vs DIY, give DIY a shot! You'll save money that way and learn a valuable skill. Those who are set on getting a pre-built are usually okay with the extra expense.

Im just getting into pc gaming. I just look a utube for a 1500 build. Got a local computer store to build it. They took a little long to do it. In the end they upgraded my motherboard and power supply free. Rx7800xt and ryzen 5 7600x.
Oh well I just bought a cyberpower pc with a rtx 4070 super by gigabyte, Msi motherboard, amd Ryzen 7800xd, 2 tb nvme ssd and 32gb of ram all for 1499 ….hopefully I didn’t get shafted this is my first pc and I really love the way it looks I just hope it stays on point seeing this vid after I bought I do have the pro membership so I have plenty of time to return
I definitely would say to take this with a grain of salt. There's definitely a lot of bad prebuilts to sift through, but they regularly have deals and you can find that diamond in the rough at times. I got my 3070ti with an i7-12700k for a super good price at the time. I checked so many different places for the price range and specs and it was the cheapest I could find. My advice would be to just shop around. Usually you won't find something good at a place like Best Buy, but you definitely can. Some places are absurdly expensive at all times. Some places can be cheap but will regularly sell intel processors in their prebuilts that are almost always strictly KF or F processors. Just figure out what you want, and search.
Curious how it is cheaper? I priced out a 4060ti equipped lenovo legion for 1130 before tax (on sale), and with the same CPU and GPU, with the cheapest board, same amount of ram, storage, etc it came out to 1300 on pc part picker.
Upgraded from a 9700 cpu and 1660ti to 13700 4060 pre built from ibuypower. Honestly the only thing I could complain about is that it came with a single ddr5 ram stick. I wanted to run dual channel and had to buy 2x more sticks because nobody offered 1 lol
I wish I saw this video. Just ordered an iBuypower from Best Buy to replace my 15 year old iBuypower PC. :P Though I am one of the exceptions that you pointed out, I have a Best Buy credit card and I was able to get the computer for no interest for 1 year. *SHRUGS* But I found this video and your other videos enlightening.
I totally want to buy diy and need to but I am beyond overwhelmed by the options when going to buy and everytime what I want ends up costing 2k or i can get the same pre built for $1400.
I know very little about tech, but after months of research and deal shopping I built my first PC about 5 years ago. I absolutely hated the process! I hated buying everything separately, I hated looking for deals, I hated having to put it all together and figure out cable management. I hated all of it! It’s been a great PC though. Now all I hear when I ask for advice about finding a newer prebuilt is “don’t buy one, build one” and pure snobbery. Makes me want to scream. Let me be lazy and spend my own money in peace 😂
Nothing wrong with that. I will else get my friend to build me one or I will get one of these pre builds. DIY seems too much for me..😄 besides some of these pre builds look very good..🤷♂️👍🏽
I would think if you buy a sky tech i5 nebula pc for about $700 it saves you the hassle building and likely cost would be less than building an equal spec. But you can then upgrade the ram and add more NVMe’s. So my question is how upgradable are they?. Can’t seem to find which motherboards most use and thus what capabilities they have for end user upgrades.
I worked at Best Buy, did PC sales and Geek Squad...all of it. I hate to break it to you, but they make very little on the PC's themselves. The margin comes from pushing service plans, antivirus installs, accessories, and upgrades. So you start from a slightly distorted understanding of the Best Buy model. I haven't bought a prebuilt since early 1998, so I'm not a SI fanboy...or a Best Buy one.
That's not really the point of the video. If I were concerned with BB's profits, I'd comment on the whole bloatware grift for starters. I don't care how BB fares after they acquire their PCs. The video focused on how the arrangement affects SIs and how that, in turn, leads to compromises made in the end product. I don't have contacts at BB, but I do at most SIs, and some have educated me on the kinds of pressure they're subjected to. It's not a healthy dynamic, and it ultimately leaves the consumer on the losing end. If the highest heights you rose to at BB was the Geek Squad, then all you've seen is the ground level view of the business model. I've been speaking with those who deal with the harsh reality of the dynamic. It's not a horror show, but it sure isn't healthy.
Okay, I'm whatevered when it comes to PC Gaming but I'm not that whatevered. They lost my business to Costco and even Walmart with the way they've been getting since 2017 or something. Yeah, even Walmart has been getting better electronics sales reputations than most Best Buys out there. Not all of the Walmarts but some of them have ironically sold some pretty good prebuilds.
I just picked up the Ibuypower RDY Fractal RR002 Has a RX7900xtx and Ryzen 7 7800X3D what do you think? I just wanted and upgrade from y RX5700 to play Dragons Dogma2 on highest settings.
I just ordered the y40 with 14700 KF 32 gigs of RAM a 4070 TI super. I think I'm going to go ahead and return it the second it gets delivered to the store. I don't like the fact that on the Best buy website it doesn't tell me what motherboard is in it or what video card I'm actually getting or anything so I'm probably going to build one from scratch. I need to figure out what case to use and I think I'm going to go with the Corsair 360 mm AIO
I’m just getting into pc gaming and I’m looking for my first pc and the way I plan on learning about building is playing it safe buying a prebuilt and updating the parts over time, is that a good idea or nah?
Thanks for the good advice and detailing. I took your advice and bought The Auxilia, bumped it up to the tier 3 model (32gb Geforce RTX 4060). Your BRAE code didn't work for that, but that's fine. I got a free 3X size t-shirt, so I am good. *grins* Thanks again. :)

It's quite close to the i9, and no wonder. It has only 4 fewer efficiency cores and the performance is very good. Either way, I still recommend using proxies. I find it to be a good practice in general.
I seperate my OS from my Game drive---someday hope to have Motherboard with 2 M.2 Slots, then will have 500GB Boot NVMe, and 1TB Game NVMe and possibly Standard drive for Storage or Sata SSD for The storage of Music, and Video files
I know nothing about PCs literally nothing so this might sound stupid… but if I do buy a prebuilt is there any way I can upgrade parts if my pc mess up
Yes, you can buy a prebuilt right now and replace the graphics card, or GPU, tomorrow for whatever reason. The same applies to the memory, or RAM sticks. Add 16GB RAM to the existing 16GB RAM which you now have 32GB RAM. Most of the time the GPU is the most charged hardware because games are requiring more juice so your GPU may play the hottest games perfectly now, but 5 years later you may want to buy a better GPU to run a certain game. The CPU, motherboard, and the power supply unit, or PSU, are the most tedious to change so make sure you spend a little more for these so you won't have to think about upgrading these so you can focus only on the GPU and RAM. Avoid Dell because their builds are proprietary meaning changing hardware is only possible if you directly buy it only from them.

Hi, so I watched some of ur videos and am currently in the market for a new pc and wanna just buy prebuilt. I have a budget of say around $3000-$3500. What is the best prebuilt company to buy from? I’d like to have an i9 and a 4070 or 4080. I game A LOT and I’m also going to start video editing/streaming so any tips on what build I should do would be great! TIA 😊
While I have no problems with Best buy in general I often find they're not a best buy. Especially when it comes to computer hardware in general. But especially pre-built systems because of the kind of compromised hardware for the price and the junk BB has the OEM preload is downright criminal. Often you might find an open box ans be tempted, but your often better off staying away.

To anyone that did not see the video gamers Nexus did their testing on a brand new alien wear computer I forget what processor it had but it was a higher end Intel either of the I seven or the I-9 they claimed liquid cooling, but it only had a 120 mm cooler on that processor They showed you how you were paying for a five $600 processor because it did not have proper cooling it down clock itself and perform closer to the 250 $300 processor because it simply was throttling all the time because it did not have basic Proper cooling for that chip so not only are you paying way more for the alien wear name you’re not even getting the performance you paid for on top of everything as he just said please stay away from where they make nice pretty cases and charge and absorbent amount of money for what you’re actually getting
I ordered an iBuypower straight from them and it arrived TRASHED. Took a long time to get a refund but at least they refunded me. The painful part was this was the BIG Christmas present for my 12yr old at the time. Imagine how I felt! Ironically, I have now ordered 3 pre-builts from cyber power pc since and all 3 were perfect! I have seen horrible things about CyberPower though.
Purchased a $2,300 prebuilt from iBuyProblems that was put together wrong and doesn't work. I don't even know how it could have passed the "inspection".
I'm sorry to hear that! Unfortunately, this is just a rare case of severe shipping damage. The fact that the CPPC systems arrived safely just shows that usually, shipping a PC is fairly safe. In this case though, it's clearly the fault of the shipping company, not the SI. If you want examples of experiences other IBP customers have shared, check the SI Testimonials section of our discord.
@@braethorn IBuyPower did not use instapack to insulate the GPU. It came lose in shipping and wreaked havoc inside the case. I place the blame on BOTH IBP and the shipper. All 3 CPPC units had Instapack installed properly. I understand this is just 1 person's experience. I had to go all the way to the BBB to get my refund though which took WEEKS to finally get the refund. They made it right in the end but my daughters christmas was pretty much ruined. I suppose if I were smarter, I could have opened the box before wrapping it to verify it's condition but I didn't want to make it look like it was used.
Look big dog, no best buy is not the best, but I do not have to worry about a PC sitting outside my door for hours while I am at work. Because it won't be there when I get home. Picking it up in a store and if need be having to return it to the store helps take away a lot of that stress. I know I am commenting early but I just want to get it off my chest, now I will continue to watch the video.
As I mentioned in the video, some people will have a reason why BB is the right choice for them, and that's fine. As for your reason, most shipping companies have the option to hold onto your package so you can come and pick it up at your convenience. That's what I'd suggest in your case.
@@braethorn The one time I went through it via an online order I was not given any kind of option. Could have been because it was 2006, could have been highschool me did not look hard enough to find such options. @@Jared_H88 It's usually handled by contacting the shipping company with your tracking number after it's been shipped out. Then you can make changes/requests with them. It's not something that's done with the SI, unfortunately.

Mistakes can happen with any system integrator. Based on the majority of IBP customer testimonials in our discord being positive, it doesn't happen often. It sucks when it happens to you, but mistakes can slip through the cracks. What matters is the support you get after the purchase. Did you have to pay anything extra to get a working PC?
🙂 so ur cutoff is $750 , theres a ton of pcs available below that price mark, I watch all the ultra budget videos, some of them are made to simply Roast them, but its all educational and fun to watch
I don't understand where Dell is on all of this as they always did everything online and to my knowledge still do...but what is it that they are offering with the whole AI thing raging away? I haven't touched anything in gaming for 20 Years now but buying up old physical games from stores going under like Blockbuster and i don't really know what to make of Game Stop these days but honestly the whole retail experience really and truly sucks going on forever now. The only good gaming "console" i am aware of at the moment is a Tesla actually. Everything else seems like yet another failure by Microsoft, Sony and Intel to me.
Odd to hear that. Considering the fact that the APC testimonials channel in our Discord is packed with tons of positive reviews, I'd suggest explaining your situation in more detail.

I bought a Legion PC with the RTX 4070 a while back and it’s been doing great!!! It all comes down to how good you take care of your stuff. And making sure the prebuilt your buying is using regular size parts so it’s upgradable.
I just bought one of those I am adding more ram and more memory.
So did I just a couple of weeks ago.
U making me regret my prebuilt pc and I haven’t even turned it on yet
i say yes for return policy and that fact that there's a bb in every state. in terms of customization online is best.
What about its the only way to get the cpu that you want.
Not a bad buy otherwise.
how’d you fix it ? and how’d it break and don’t know when it breaks? thanks for the tips
@@BREEZYM6015 bought 3 pcs cause I didn’t know how to build one lil bro EDIT also I was like 13 yrs old lmao I got a 4080 and a 13900k build now
While it sucks that you had those bad experiences, I'm glad you've got something that works well now!
@@braethorn yea man I understand alexander PCS and brparadox has good prebuilts! Not saying all are bad or u necessarily have to build them yourself
Unfortunately, that BB sales pitch is likely going to point them to Alienware 😒
@@braethorn then you hit [your] parents with the fantastic idea of buying used! Lol on a second thought don't, if i was a parent I'd be kinda annoyed
i agree i’d be very thankful with one of these. if it’s above a around 3070, 4060 GPU it’s not bad at all. i7F and i7k are good there are ways to stream and edit videos with both by downloading different softwares and programs and that’d being realistic. but i under stand they whole point of the differences and how most people will want to do gaming. well okay get a 3070 or higher. you’ll sure be able to run all the latest games easy.
😊 Have u done one for Microcenter yet? they have a large selection of prebuilts from various businesses
Bought a MSI prebuilt from bestbuy. Got a great deal and the machine works perfectly!
you gotta also factor in how long you’ve had it, if you just got the pc yes of course it will do good, have it for a year or two then you will notice problems
@@jalilonchillz3156 You take that risk with any machine. You should know this!
Brother i have $2500 to spend for my sons gaming pc just telle what one to buy please 😆 i domt know shit about them. He plays alot of cod rainbow6 and gta type games. Yhanks
This just saved me, about to purchase my first gaming pc and live in west Texas middle of nowhere and the only store in the next semi big town is Best Buy and I’m so overwhelmed on all these sites I was about to go to Best Buy, appreciate the video man
Alexander PCs I am saving up for one, and want that warranty. $200 a month. LOL Thx bro !
Keep at it!
good luck mate, you've got this
I bought my rig from Ibuypower and I must say I’ve had no major problems. No bloatware. I’ve added apps the help my system. Extremely fast 💨. I’m enjoying my system
ive heard 2 months in to any ibuypower pc the cooler shits itself and the fans start rattling, would be down for an update
@@1ndra-m4o cause they’re cheap fans. But I don’t have that problem but I do plan on replacing them for be quite fans
What I learned looking a for pre built or buying parts and DIY . No matter how much money your gonna spend . For just a little bit more you can always get something better.
Since prices fluctuate what would be the first to last purchase for your build
I got that clx prebuilt and it’s been great. I put in more ram a new gpu and a 2 tb ssd but it was solid even without those
I purchased a SKYTECH PC directly from SKYTECH and although it had problems upon arrival, SKYTECH was all over it, made it right and I have a beast of a machine that benchmarks high for comparable builds .
Those who are set on getting a pre-built are usually okay with the extra expense.
just some helpful info the R and N of Braethorn are covered by the RGB emblem on youtube if you moved the cam and name up just a little it wouldn't be blocked anymore
Only go to Best Buy when you want to test something. Or if you want some cord.
I got a non gaming PC from Best buy around 2015,lasted until 2023.
I bought my first gaming laptop from best by and its been going strong almost 3 years
Im just getting into pc gaming.
What would be a great 17inch+ laptop used for animation, graphic design and cad design? I'm clueless on what some of the components mean or used for...
Curious how it is cheaper? I priced out a 4060ti equipped lenovo legion for 1130 before tax (on sale), and with the same CPU and GPU, with the cheapest board, same amount of ram, storage, etc it came out to 1300 on pc part picker.
I bought a skytech nebula yesterday just waiting on it to ship to me.. do you think it's a good starter pc
No gaming or streaming or editing but do need 1 for work and school pairing with an oled monitor or tv what is the cheapest pc you recommend.
Idk I got a pc with a ryzen 9 7900x, rtx 4070ti and 32gbs of ram for $1,800.00 honestly not a bad deal
Do you think the ibuypower y40 1599 version is good?
Hi, what do you recommend from these choices for gmaing like R6 and GTA, No streaming, occasional homework and watchinglive sports
I’m just getting into pc gaming and I’m looking for my first pc and the way I plan on learning about building is playing it safe buying a prebuilt and updating the parts over time, is that a good idea or nah?
That's the way a lot of people get into PCDIY!

@breathorn How is the i7-14700K at 4K 60fps (or higher fps) video editing?
It's quite close to the i9, and no wonder. It has only 4 fewer efficiency cores and the performance is very good. Either way, I still recommend using proxies. I find it to be a good practice in general.
so i live in a state where you cant just go and buy parts to build. is it worth buying parts off amazon and newegg? without it taking a month to get
My flight sim DCS world alone takes up about 600Gigs, I have a 1TB dedicated just for that.
can you do some gaming on the auxilia? like fortnite and valorant? on decently high frames?
What specs do you recommend on streaming and gaming on one pc in order to keep great fps?
Ive wanting to get a pre-build from best buy it has a Ryzen 7 7700 and a radeon RX 7600 16 gb of ddr5 ram (only one stick though) and a 1TB SSD. It costs $999.99. Should I get it?

Mistakes can happen with any system integrator. Based on the majority of IBP customer testimonials in our discord being positive, it doesn't happen often. It sucks when it happens to you, but mistakes can slip through the cracks. What matters is the support you get after the purchase. Did you have to pay anything extra to get a working PC?
well communicated. thank you sir.

I don't understand where Dell is on all of this as they always did everything online and to my knowledge still do...but what is it that they are offering with the whole AI thing raging away? The way I see it, every company can make mistakes. It's how they handle those situations that matters. As I recommend with any customer service experience, have a bit of patience and let them get you taken care of 👍
@@Vacancy23Well, if you're experiencing all of the issues you've described..... have you contacted Alexander's Customer Support? I sure would with all of those issues, but it sounds like you're itching to get rid of it, so......
@eskieman3948 I did. They think it's a one time thing or storage issue not linking.
I checked cmd and it determines my ssds are healthy but will follow with their idea if it continues.
