I truly think that "One Piece" isn't about pirates, nor a great treasure.. nor power or fame.. the series tells it at some point it self, when luffy said: "The king of the pirates is simply the most free person on the sea." He already was the king.. the moment he started his journey, it was never about what he said, but about what he represents. Just like the greek titan "Atlas", Luffy carries the weight of the world on his shoulders, as his duty is for being the most free person on the sea, cuz you see, his burden lies in the fact, that he can't stand, seeing someone NOT being as free as he is. Luffy stands for the person that constantly sacrifices himself.. while carrying the people he cares for on his back. Why? Cuz it's what HE is choosing to do, in every single moment and in every single fight of the anime. But also... maybe that's not what Oda hat in mind.. xD In the end it's his creation! :D Would love to hear your thoughts about One Piece or luffy too! So feel free to comment if you feel like it! :D
Something I’ve always admired from Onepice is the belief Luffy and his crew has. From the very beginning, even when no one took him seriously, he truly believed that he would be king of the pirates. Other people may have said they want to be king of the pirates, but Luffy ACTUALLY believed that he would be. And since he actually believed, he was able to act in accordance with those beliefs. And it’s the same with Zoro who believes he can be the worlds greatest swordsman. How would anyone become the greatest if they first didn’t believe they could be? I think this is such an important lesson to learn; if you don’t genuinely believe that you can do something, why would you even try? Let me ask this, do you think Micheal Jordan believed he could be the best? What about Jeff Bezos? What about Arnold Schwarzenegger? They all started with the belief that they could, then took the action to achieve it, just like Luffy.
