So FREAKING excited to see you in action at Torian Tia!! Have seats close to the finish line with a group of girls from my gym on the Sunny Coast - so stoked! How exciting that you're spending some time on the Sunny Coast while you're here! Not sure if you're looking, but I thought I'd share my top recommendations for coffee/drinks and food around the coast! 1. Wynd Espresso Bar in Cotton Tree - small specialty coffee business run by two lovely locals. They have the most amazing coffee roasted by the owner Elliot - they always have their signature house blend and a single origin, as well as a whole bunch of other "made from scratch" delicious options. Food is usually a bunch of delicious (mostly GF/DF) cakes/ slices but if you get there reasonably early on a Wednesday they have THE BEST roast vege quiches made on sourdough filo crust (made by another small local business). 2. Ambr Wine Bar - natural wines, cheeses and charcuterie to die for 🤤 It's a passion project that opened at the start of the year by a gorgeous local couple. 3. Rice Boi or Giddy Geisha (sister restaurants with similar Asian Fusion style food - if you only visit one, I'd recommend Rice Boi because its location at the Wharf in Mooloolaba is so great). Try not to let the line deter you, as it moves pretty quickly and there's a line because it's THAT good haha. Try to bring friends if you can because we find it's best to grab a bunch of different meals and share. The 10hr coconut beef curry is insanely good 🤤, but very rich so would recommend sharing! 4. Umami Ramen in Maroochydore - best ramen of my life, made with real pork bone broth that will change your life. I'd get the Tan Tan Men with an egg and extra pork (for a better protein component as you only get one slice as is) if you like a bit of spice or the Smokey Black if you're not so keen on spice. 5. Good Slice Pizza pretty much next door in Maroochydore - super delicious wood fired pizzas with such fresh ingredients. My all time stand out pizza in the Pumpkin N'duja which has a little spicy kick to it but not too much (I'm not great with spice and I'm fine with the level of chilli) - it's so full of flavour! 6. Heirloom Wholefoods Coolum Beach does a DELICIOUS beef brisket roti and a good coffee to complement it. 7. Sum Yung Guys - nearly forgot about this one because it's further north in Noosaville. A bit more fancy, bit more pricey but definitely worth it! You'll need a booking (books out weeks in advance usually but you might get lucky) - very worth a try if you can fit it in 😊 8. For your regular food, there's a local lady who's started a meal prep company called "Deliciously Clean Eats" which lists all the ingredients and macro break down of course - our gym has been stocking them for a while and I haven't met a meal from DCE that I didn't like. Obviously ignore this if you're already sorted, but I didn't want to leave it out if it could have been useful to you! Sorry for the essay guys! Hope you have the best time with friends and family while you're here 🤗 Pack a jumper but given that you're coming from a year of winter, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the weather here. I haven't worn a jumper yet and the water's still warm enough for swimming! Can't wait to cheer like crazy for you at Torian 💯🎉

I was born and raised in KY, but moved to FL when I turned 18 and could financially handle being on my own. Two years there, then IL for two years, then northern VA for a year, southern VA for five years, and now I’m moving to NJ. I don’t miss KY, but I don’t feel like FL is home either anymore. 😅
