I'm considering a home based FFL. I buy and sell luxury timepieces and I use FedEx exclusively because they have an option to Hold For Pick Up and the package arrives much faster at a store than my home. Not sure if that's legal for guns or if you you have a FedEx near you but you would be able to pick up latest at 7pm.👍
Unfortunately closest Fedex to me is over an hour away. It is also not allowed per the FTA :) to ship to anywhere other than the address on your license. And Distributors bar you from holding for pickup. I'm working on a solution, will share with you all once I have it sorted!
Interesting! I have worked in the retail side of the gun world for over 15 years. I was always under the impression that home based FFL were unobtainable. Do you have to have regular business hours at your home. Or can it be by appointment only? I though about doing this to supplement my income selling via gun shows, gun broker, and Armslist, and locally by appointment.
You have to give the TAF some sort of hours when you apply, because that is when they will try to swing by if you were to ever get audited. But you can run your business however you'd like. I run by appt. only
This may be an incredibly dumb question, but will the ATF think badly of a company named something silly? I have a clothing line called TacDaddy, and would like to name my gun shop as such, because I will also be selling TacDaddy clothing in the store

Would you tell us what you pay for this service? Is it a monthly or yearly subscription? I went to their website but there is no pricing
Websites not cheap been searching everyday brother looking at big commerce but need a merchant to attach but if you want sales gonna need it.

I wouldn't think so, some of the names of places that I have received transfers from, have been a little off the wall.
