His own brother betrayed him and later had to fight and leave him burning alive which traumatized him. 4.his entire world came crumbling down, and all his comrades died. 5. Qui-Gon: Anakin is too old to be trained as a Jedi, it’s too dangerous, he’s like already 6!! Obiwan: nah lets wait till Luke is like 20 or what, maybe even a little longer
The only fear I have for the Kenobi movie is that it will be boring. It sounds like, overall, and especially compared to the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan didn't do much in this time. I'm sure, though, with a good director and writer, that a great story can be made from this time. But I think it will require really careful planning and expertise, much like was required of Obi-Wan during this time...
This might be an unpopular option but I don't think I need or should have my own movie. In all honesty, I think my story has been told. I've been in 6 movies, was a main character in Clone Wars, and it could even be argued that I was the protagonist of the prequels. My life was full of adventure and I don't think I need to have another one. Let my time on Tatooine remain a mystery. I think that it's important not to define every detail of a story and let the fans imagine what happened for themselves. ;-)
All of those sound like great ideas. That's the kind of thinking that's needed for the film to be good. They need a smart writer/director team that can create a deep character analysis on Obi-Wan through this movie. That requires a deep understanding of what we know of the character so far and a talent for both great screenplay writing and cinematic presentation that enhances the character study. What I'm saying is this film has to be different than any other film out there because it will be based on a very unique kind of character rarely seen in cinema. Specifically, a hero-type character who has always been loyal and dedicated to his cause, yet loses everything despite (or because?) of that. Very interesting stuff if done right and respectfully. My fear is that it will just be a sort of "romp around the galaxy" starring an older Obi-Wan. Like lower the expectations of action and thrills in this movie. Just chill out and do a deep study on the character. Disney would win my heart if they could pull that off. But it'd be a huge departure from what they've done so far with Star Wars. So far I think it's been mostly a big cash grab for them, like the Marvel movies, but if they do this movie right it'll show a sudden respect for the franchise that could maybe turn things around for the future of the franchise if audiences respond positively.
if he thought a'sharrad hett, the tusken raider sith who was raising his army of tusken raiders as scene in legends, that would make for a more interesting movie. Protecting the mos eisley and jawas from being slaughtered

I have my own theory about a awesome villain in the Obi Wan movie what if a tuskin raider was the sole survivor of Anakins attack on the tribe the killed his mother and he knows Luke is Anakin's son so he's trying kill him in revenge Obi -wan must deal with this but he is conflicted because he can't use all his force powers with out giving his presents away to Vader or the Emperor
The tusken raiders are actually aware that luke is the son of anakin skywalker and they remember the killings and that is why they have a death wish for him, apparently this is canon too, it was mentioned in some book
ToxicDubZ Darth Krayt looking for Luke to deal with him knowing he has significance is a parallel to Maul attacking Obi-Wan to take Luke, I think they somehow canonized Krayt through Maul in Rebels
Indeed. And Obi-Wan's reaction in the comic panel was so well drawn. I could feel the punch to the gut thru my screen. I guess Uncle Owen was still pretty upset about it all and lashed out. I also wonder if he saw how similar Luke was to his father and feared for him on that level as well.
Let me just say, this is a refreshing video. I really hope that Disney expands on Obi Wan's story because his character has so much deapth. Looking forward to more great videos from you, you're the BEST!!!

I think that was what kept him sane overall, not the hope of luke, but remebering yoda telling him that he would be able to speak with his old master again.

Knowing that Anakin, now known as Darth Vader and now crippled and mangled, had become much stronger physically when it came to striking with his lightsaber strokes, thanks to his mechanical limbs. In order to counter this, and in preparation for their inevitable final battle, Obi Wan spent countless hours alone and worked out his forearm strength. Sometimes even to the point of 10 times per day, with days being longer on Tatooine since it had two moons. Many times during his "workouts" he would tap into his memories and think of his lost Mandalorian love, Satine Kryze. Realizing that working out one forearm wasn't enough, he dedicated more time working on his offhand and become ambidextrous. Why not? Two suns , two hands right? Obi Wan had to be careful, because some say that over training your forearms might lower your midichlorian levels, some even say that it can make a man go blind, but surely those are just rumors. One fateful day, Obi Wan encountered an old nemesis, a ghost from the past known as Darth Maul. Maul had tracked him down to this desert planet seeking revenge. However, Maul didn't realize the amount of training a lonely man by himself for years could achieve. He had no idea that Obi Wan's forearms became so powerful that with just one counter and one strike, Obi Wan was able to cut through both Maul's lightsaber and his body. It was then that he realized that Obi Wan had become not just a Master in the use of the Force, but also a Mastur at bating as well. Maul fell for Obi Wan's trick by switching his form their duel, he took the bait hook, line, and sinker.
