Strange to see this.As a huge 44 year old fan,I find this so strange. Thanks to the internet and all these RUclips videos, it all becomes so"touchable".After the Grunge flood in the early 90's,we only had books and mtv to see some clips, now you get a little peak behind the curtains how it really was there,30 years ago.For lots of people Nirvana was like christianity was for christians(I know, it's strange to say)nd at the end, it was just a normal guy who created something huge, difficult to grab..😳It's al behind us now, we grow old, and how older we get, the more everything gets hidden in the mists of history.....goodbye Kurt, rip, you had a huge impact on my life. And thanks to you sir, giving us this nice interview,it's nice to hear you tell these stories.Grttzz from Europe-Belgium✌️

yeah, not just created but worked his ass off beyond what most can conceive and would not do. that is the level of commitment he never sacrificed, but would let go of people, places, things, everything to double down and work even harder and those people fell by the wayside while he did it again to a place that would scare them because they couldn't even imagine that level of terror.

I’m 5 years younger than you.
My dad passed away several months before this trip. I was trying to go to Canada, but because of some misdemeanor crap that I thought was expunged they wouldn’t let me in.
I ended up driving to Aberdeen and sleeping in my car near the bridge over the wishkah. I then drove to Kurt’s house two blocks away and I don’t remember how I found this guy. I think I was in an odd mood and just knocked on doors until I found someone who was down to talk and knew Kurt.
It meant a lot to me, cause I was a depressed ass kid, and I used to say Kurt went out so that we could live
Barring all them arguments and theories about the circumstances of his death of course

Because when Kurt did his journals, poems, lyrics, scribblings and all, it was in his childhood and teenage in his peace and quiet or solo times so parents and family members know it isn't impossible for him to become a great musician one day ...he was always innovative, unique, eccentric, and extremely creative. Never been into norms. He always had his special ways.

Splitting of family does have profound effects on children. I'll never forget one morning when I was 9, my dad told me my mom doesn't love him anymore. I had a fairly normal childhood until then. I'll never forget that morning. My life changed forever. Chaos, violence, instability. I'm 40 years old now and I've been a damaged person since then. Lot's of trouble, drugs, alcohol. Still today I am fighting these demons...

After all the videos I’ve seen I’ve came to a final opinion.. I believe he probably got tired of being in nirvana, was on drugs and Courtney was probably threatening to take his money in court and involve the kid it would of been a mess he couldn’t just leave her. I think he did mean to od on heroin with that amount but I think someone came in after and found him and wanted to “save his image” idk who but.. being forever known as a rockstar who died from heroin or a rockstar who rose to fame too quick and couldn’t handle it and ended his own life early at 27. Just my opinion cause dude changed my life and I couldn’t grasp how someone could live their dream to the fullest and kill themselves idk

I can’t wait to visit one day! My brother already went there just this past year. Hopefully I can come through sometime soon. What’s the best time of year to come weather wise? I prefer colder weather but does it snow there in Aberdeen or..? 🤔

Dude I’ve been in at least 2 documentary’s about Kurt before you even lived in the neighborhood. I’m not looking for any fame, this guy knocked on my door because another neighbor told him I knew him. People came to this place long before your park was ever there. Oh and now that you got your park and an open invitation for every transient and undesirable wants to camp in, you conveniently move out. So, yeah, thanks for that, also thanks for every car that parks in front of my driveway, and especially thank you for the now constant traffic on what used to be a nice quiet street. As far as my old rotten fence, yeah, I was finally able to get it fixed. It’s not as easy to put time and money into your property when raising a family and trying to make ends meet. It’s not like when your retired and have a nice extra income from the widow you married. But you know we did the best we could.
