I love the size of the hood! It reminds me of a fairy tale 💛
I'm going to make mine out of waxed canvas!

I'm so excited to use this pattern! I bought two fleece fabrics and would LOVE to make the poncho cape reversible. Any tips in helping achieve this?

Hi, sorry for my late answer!
Yes, skip the part with hemming with a ribbon. 1. 1. After stitching the shoulder seams (do a regular seam instead of flat felled seam) place both fleece layers with the right sides facing. Stitch around the perimeter, but leave the opening for the hood unstitched.
      2. Flip the cape from inside out and press the edges.
      3. When you have made the hood, stitch it together with only one layer of fleece.
      4. Use a stitch in a ditch method or handstitch the other layer of the cape to the hood.
Let me know, if you have any questions :)

Do you think I can add some stiff interfacing to the hood to better keep its shape? It's for a costume I'm making. I absolutely ADORE this pattern, it looks so comfy!

Absolutely! Especially if it is for a costume :) If it's still not holding the shape properly, you can even press on 2 layers of interfacing.

What are the darts for in the Hood?

So the hood would be more curved around the head. Otherwise it would be sort of flat ☺️
