I love this episode because we get to see Beth again she’s a character who has gone from being a mild background side character to becoming a badass young fighter and it really showed how capable she is in living in this world from being a quiet farm girl to a young strong woman lol Love you guys :) ❤️
True fact! TWD is shot during the extreme heat of a Georgia summer! Before the scene when Beth was apprehended from the parking lot , they had to spray water on the extremely hot pavement!
I just realized this episode is pretty good Beth kicked ass In this episode Imo She took everything in and processed it pretty well The way she handled Officer Gorman McRapey was pretty badass and how she figured out Doc tricked her Also she took out all those Walkers in the garage in the dark Head shots and she got Noah out nah not as bad as everyone is saying I’m going to give Beth her props on this one.
So to sum up Beth kills McRapey then enables McDreamy to escape but gets caught so she decides to kill Dr McMurder but Carol shows up so she’s stuck there with Officer McBitchy Oh McBummer.
I honestly think that Dawn’s point of view is to keep the Wolves (her cops) happy and then they don’t attack everyone there It’s just another way to save her own ass.
I absolutely adored this episode A little quieter then what we got beforehand in Season 5 so far but It combined all the elements that we love about The Walking Dead the drama character development walkers gore and action etc. Also I thought this episode did a great job of showing how far Beth had come since wanting to commit suicide in Season 2 At The start of the episode she can barely say her own name but by the end she’s kicking ass and making her mark on Dawn’s so called system. Beth’s not a teenager anymore she’s a strong young woman and I thought Emily Kinney really shined performance wise particularly during the final act of the episode She’s no Melissa McBride But she definitely has the acting chops when given the screentime and Badass Beth is what we need to see more of. Like Rick said at the end of Season 4 when placing his hat on Beth in the prison flashback There’s a new sheriff in town.
Like Rick said in the flashback of A as he put the sheriff hat on Beth There’s a new sheriff in town in Season 5 if people ain’t trying to eat you they are trying to push you into an unwanted career into prostitution An unusual episode not lots are fond of but I quite enjoyed it.
Heh its funny cause Beth kinda has a Comic Counterpart in Billy Greene, Hershel's youngest son. He doesnt really do anything but sleep with Carol and die in front of Hershel at the Prison during the Governor's final assault, but he was a pretty good shot, probably the second best after Andrea. Beth survived past the Prison, which is fine i guess but still think it would have been WILD if they found Beth being harvested at Terminus instead. Hershel had more daughters than Maggie, including his youngest daughters. They were killed by one of the prisoners at the prison in a BRUTAL way. That comic shot never made it to the TV Show, but they did try to remix it during Season 3 with Axel. Initially it was planned that Axel would actually be the Comic Thomas remixed character, not Tomas, who was always more like Comic Dexter anyways. The Prisoner storyarc was SEVERELY cut down in the TV Show, but after suspecting Dexter of being a bad guy, its revealed that Thomas was the actual serial killer IRL and he decapitated Hershels youngest daughters, Susie and Rachel Greene. Glenn and Maggie are on their way to fool around when they come across their zombified heads and bodies. Glenn puts them down and Maggie kills Thomas in revenge. This leaves Maggie and Billy as Hershel's last living children after losing Arnold and Lacey at the Farm when Shawn and the other Walkers broke out of the Barn. He watches every single one of his kids die in front of his eyes and its Billy's death at the hands of the Governor that finally causes him to give up and allow The Governor to end him as well. The decision to keep Beth alive keeps her more original than any of Hershel's comic children. Its so funny cause he had Shawn, Arnold, Lacey, Maggie, Billy, Rachel, and Susie and the TV Show writers said "nah, Beth" 😂😂😂 And then Carol also died at the Prison in the Comics so this episode is really the first full blown Original Episode for the TV Show outside of the CDC episode, but that one at least had some references to where the comics went instead in that kt was a false haven that immediately crumbled. The Grady Memorial Hospital, the Cops, Carol and Beth's existence at this point, no other characters appearing. This is fully original, aside from the potential homage to Dr. Stevens, a doctor and character from Woodbury that was largely ignored in the TV Show. He had a counterpart with a woman but she played no role. At least The Governors Pocket episodes in Season 4 were loosely based on The Rise of The Governor Novel.
Thanks for sharing all of that -- I love hearing about the comic comparisons. I had no idea this story was completely original. It fit nicely in the world building of the show.

I appreciate how comfortable you two are on camera. Few reactors are willing to sip their grapejuice on camera

Noah is the kid Chris from sitcom Everybody Hates Chris played by Tyler James Williams.
Make sure you comment 200 more times too
Finally. A safe place like a hospital! 😐

Terminus had cannibalism, this latest location seems to be full of cabin craziness!
😂 I couldn't wait for you guys to get to Noah/Gregory lol. He's always Chris to me😊
haha I think we probably call him Noah a few more times after this. It's always Gregory.
@PhilipManzano haha I love it! Noah is great but Gregory is definitely my favorite character of his 😊
Loving the wtd reactions ❤
Appreciate you! Lots more on the way!

Dawn is absolutely the worst person. But I'm glad we get a whole season of Beth.
I hate these hospital episodes
