the sharp wii remote is a reference to the weaponized wii remote meme. "Are Wii going to have a problem?" *points abnormally sharp wii remote at victim
That's what we think. They have almost absolutely nothing to be referenced on, just like R.O.B. That's why you can be absolutely creative with them. The thing with other characters is, that people will always complain why this or that reference isn't there, no matter how many references there are.
Bro, my mom's first time playing Wii Sports bowling when I got my Wii for Christmas she forgot to put on the strap and the wii remote went perfectly spear motion and made a hole in our flat screen TV in the living room. Comedy gold for someone who didn't listen to the warnings, enraged were my grandparents though.
Yo you finally found this one, this guy was one of my first mains. Two things you missed: You can get the wiimote buff whenever you parry too, and if you hit the tv with a perfectly timed wiiiote-buffed side smash, the tv does a way bigger explosion. glad you found reckless swordsman too, you should also check out the one that uses joycons to attack (careless safety notice woman).
holding the sword backwards is actually a legit move in HEMA (historical european martial arts) and was actually used historically, its taught in some historical sword-fighting manuals. Its called the "murder-stroke." or "mordhau" in german, where the game gets its name from. You use like that it when you're fighting a heavily armored opponent to hit them with the crossguard. Since the sharpness of the blade is basically useless against full armor, the weight and mass of the crossguard is more effective when used like a bludgeon. Its like trying to hit someone with the handle of a hammer vs the head.
The creator, Hyuponia, is actually super cool too! I got to see the development of the character when they were working on him! It was pretty awesome. Hyu makes some seriously awesome characters that should be checked out too!
Reckless Sword Man is actually preparing to use a real life German Zweihander technique, the Mordhau (or Death Cut)! In this move, you grab the blade of your sword in both hands and bring the pommel crashing down upon the helm of your enemy like a sledgehammer! Very metal.
This reminded me when my grandma was playing her wii with my little sister, she was around 2-3 possibly, my sister was in front of the TV ready to bowl, he did her turn, now, now it was *grandma's turn* she was getting ready to through her bowling ball, and her remote flew out of her hand (she was still wearing the wrist band lol) and it smacked my sister in the head, ah, memories
Down smash takes off the wristband and then throws the Wii remote after each move that uses it. Or you could time the bowling ball throw for a better angle
The sharp Wiimote attacks are probably a reference to the "Are Wii Gonna Have A Problem" short in which multiple nintendo consoles/controllers are weaponized (for example the Wii Remote being a click-knife) my bad i didnt check the comments before commenting about the reference
When we were younger my cousin and I always thought the pot was a chicken for some reason and whenever the thing showed up we would say “punch a man, don’t punch a chicken.”
3:46 - I *immediately* thought of the detail where you can throw the bowling ball behind you in Wii Sports bowling. I wonder if that is a secret attack that deals more damage considering the character is supposed to be the "reckless" Wii guy.
Hey Linklight, before that the undertale/deltarune tournament starts, there is ONE MORE undertale character that is already available in the Rivals of Aether workshop. He is called "So Sorry". It's the Easter Egg character that appears in Hotland if you go to a secret place with a specific date. + he's pretty well made in the rivals of aether workshop, I'd say that it deserves a go.

Wii Remote Caution Guy was a mod in Smash Bros Brawl one time, and that was epic
Got a link to a vid? I'd totally wanna see this.

is it possible to throw the bowling ball backwards?
@@division6193 yep, and its pretty handy too. weaker and less range, but much less wind up
I feel like the victory screen should be the, "Why not take a break?" screen that interrupted your Wii sports session for a few seconds
Should bring up a dummy HOME menu screen, and have the "player" click the Reset option.
I'm so glad they Included the wii knife in his moves

Fun fact if you time d strong while running at the right time, you can throw the TV off stage and get a sick spike

Did you know that actually the bowling ball goes way farther depending where you let go on the charge/build up 😊
I'll have you know, My Wii WAS thirsty, it DID want the orange juice
Can't believe down tilt is the knife from the Are Wii Gonna Have A Problem meme
Dude. Wii bowling.
Think about what that entails, for a moment... you completely missed the backwards bowling joke! His F-Smash is timing based!
All I see is him flicking out the Wii remote saying "Are Wii gonna have a problem"
Wreckless Safety Man really do be like my dad playing Wii Boxing with me back in 2008.
I still have nightmares about it to this day...

if you time the forward smash right can you throw the bowling ball backward?

UM ACTUALLY! Reckless sword man is holding the sword in the mordhua grip which is a documented strategy used against armored appointments.
The wii mote man didn't hit his long time friend on mistake, you can see how hard he hits him, he MEANT it
WII SAFTEY MAN
Shows the purpose safety by neglecting it!
Hey, Linklight Too, there's a character you should definitely check out, his name is Mr. Red, and he's actually really fun to play as.

reckless safety Man's really said "Are wii gonna have a problem here"
You need to release the bowling ball at the right time, holding it all the way is bad, just like in real bowling!
