Hi Lance, I'm Bobi, the founder of Wirsh&Geimori. First off, thank you for the review! I've been a fan of your channel for a long time and truly admire your in-depth approach to coffee. I was eager to send you a sample as soon as we started the Geimori project. While it's just our first prototype, as a startup, we're always keen to hear customer feedback, especially from professionals like you. I just watched your review video, and to be honest, I did feel some of the points weren't quite fair. You compared a prototype to a product already on the market, and in the scattering test, why you did NOT test the light roast beans with the Timemore’s grinder? However, we truly value your honest opinion, no matter what it may be. We've already made many improvements to the grinder, here are some key improvements: • Reduced size: The final grinder will be more compact and without wobbing. • Lower retention: We've reduced it to 0.3-0.5g by modifty the grinding chamber. • Power Switch: We've removed the notification sound and also changed the power switch to Inductive proximity switch. • New Quick Release mechanism: Makes cleaning and swapping burrs even easier. • Improved overall build quality: The production version will have a more refined finish. Our team is working hard on continually improvements, and we are dedicated to provide the best possible grinding experience to our backers with the Geimori Grinder.
To be fair, I got a prototype of the timemore, too. The prototype was essentially identical to their final product. Very little difference (for 064). The 078 they launched in small markets before they did a kickstarter. So, I did get a commercial 078. For the scatter test, I did do a test on light roast with the timemore but I guess hugo cut it out. It had similar results to dark roast, meaning some scattering but nothing crazy like in the infomercial. In the end, I hope sincerely you are able to fix the current issues and are able to deliver a product that is worth the price. I would suggest maybe making the timeline a bit more generous to ensure this is possible. But in the end, it's your product. Thanks again for sending it over. I am sorry I didn't quite like it and seemed pessimistic, but I try to treat all products with an understanding that hard working people put their hard earned money towards products. It is, as i said in the video, sort of moral imperative i feel. Cheers
@@LanceHedrick Thanks for your response, Lance. We take moral imperative seriously and want to assure you that we're dedicated implement all the necessary improvements to delivering a grinder that meets our backer’s expectations.

This is what really pissed me off. If they try to block SSP from producing 78 mm burrs with their MP geometry then we'll know for sure, but I don't really know why else they would be patenting it. 🚩 For sure
I appreciate your mindfulness in your own videos/content but as far as I know, it really is a plattform-wide policy that only backers can comment on projects. Since starting to back projects on kickstarter in February. 2013, I've never seen a project where it was different. Somewhere along the way Kickstarter itself even started to remove comments from people who cancelled their pledge.

Yeah it looks to be like a 98mm grinder size which is just ridiculous for a 78mm at this price point, perhaps they should have put effort elsewhere. The fact this wobble and make that sound at burr touch is well
You're right, the prototype of Geimori was initially a bit larger than anticipated! We focused on internal design elements that impacted the size, but we heard your feedback loud and clear. I get commercials for this every single day. The commercial itself is weird and I never liked the fact they’re spraying water into the hopper. To me that signaled they didn’t really know what they were doing when they started designing this product. I’m glad this review came out when it did because Our Coffee Shelter had a mostly positive review but they were sponsored by Geimori. Thank you for shelling out your $ for this product.

Great review Lance! I think the product is not on par with their marketings department output. Maybe they should switch their funding to product development and improvement !
True. Seems they’ve simply “engineered” this with gimmicks (i.e., RDT) and half-baked features. The product page insults the intelligence of its intended audience.
There were already quite a few red flags in the other RUclips channel that reviewed this grinder but those red flags were just brushed away. 1. They guy can't discern the taste difference between 64mm SSP MP with 78 mm Geimori burrs. Why go up in burr size if it doesn't produce better or different notes? 2. Their claimed particle distribution is hardly what you would call unimodal, there are literally 2 peaks, so not the same particle distribution as SSP MP. 3.. They claimed each click is 5.5 microns but the time difference in pulling espresso for 1 click was 10 secs, which is impossible. That was even after seasoning the burrs with 5 kg of coffee. 4. There was a short part in the video where he opened up the grinder and you can see how the coffee ground was basically clogged in the burrs' pathway, which would probably affect the particle distribution and why the difference in time of pulling shots were so massive between click. 5. They claimed the auger is actually a pre-breaker and "blamed" the retention on the pre-breaker auger, it's common he said. I don't believe Zerno Z1 has that issue. I'm glad that Lance showed different red flags in this video because I smelled something fishy the moment I saw this grinder in Kickstarter.
Thank you so much! I've been trying to figure out whether to invest in the Geimori kickstarter for this grinder. Your review sealed it for me. NOPE! Will wait for a sale for the Timemore Sculptor 064S. As always, you rock!
Thank you so mich for taking the time to create this video. I was about to invest in this grinder just to test it out but it seems like it’s not ready yet. BTW: You look amazing!!! Will you be making a video on the Varia VS6? I would love to hear your thoughts on it.
I looked at this grinder and thought its interesting, but seemed all about "chasing features" instead of focusing on what matters! Im glad I did not back it up, cant wait for your Phillos review, as that BEAST is on my radar! 👀
Wait wasn't there a pinned comment from the company? I saw that today while at work but didn't read it yet. And now it's gone. Or am I confusing two videos?
IDK, the way that the grindsize scale slightly moves each time you turn the dial would annoy me to no end, one of the biggest draws of the timemore is that it feels solid and premium, this seems like the opposite.
Thank you, Lance! You really have helped me learn a lot and grow in my love for Coffee. Have you ever thought about making a video that talks about the right time to drink your coffee after brewing? It seems to me that some coffees are better hotter and some are better closer to room temperature. I’d love to hear your thoughts on that. Thanks again 🙂
This is a man that can tell you an espresso with pink sweet milk it’s awesome and have the arguments to back it up and the brawl to make you drink it and love it
Wonder why they have the two rings in the front for the grind size. Why not just skip the detachable black one and have all of the size groves on the clean metal one. Great review! :)
Looking great Lance! My timemore sculptor 64s power button is finicky at times to power on and off. But overall super happy with it and no RDT. Also with SSPMPs I choked the grinder in the 1-2 range.
was considering the 64 since I wanted to upgrade my Ode 2 with SSP brew and I didn't buy the Sculptor 064S back when it was on kickstarter. But this is quite disappointing but kinda what I expected considering their replies on social media and all the fake hype that they try to build.
Grinder has huge potential. As is, it is pretentiously large for the home market. Trying to patent something in the wild is a terrible start to a new business
I saw the kickstarter for this grinder and the 78mm is very large and I am disappointed they don’t support blind burrs (though I can understand why). Good to see a detailed review - I will stick to the Zerno even though I have to wait.
I'm sure I speak for many here when i say we appreciate you spending your own money to make best effort to remove, or at least reduce, bias as much as possible. Now we wait for some clown to comment that you're in Timemore's pocket... Joke aside, informative video, helpful stuff
Exactly what I thought after the spam IG campaign....A cheap expensive product that relies on FOMO to trap customers. The gimmick idea of spraying water directly into your grinder is beyond insanity to me.
It looks like they've taken the best features, both visually and practicality, from every recommended machine and slashed the price on their production. Then they built a new machine using the parts that were produced at half price. Also DAYUM Lance you fine, that the muscle porn-starsh look really suits you
I'm not a big fan of that spray bottle built into the hopper. Stuff like that is bound to break. And it's not a question of if, but rather when it is going to break. And it represents time and money that was invested into making this quirky, little, plastic part that obviously could have been better spent elsewhere in the design and materials of the grinder.
Hello, no idea if this will get seen but figured it worth a try. Was looking at this grinder but impressions understandably turned me off this product. Looking to upgrade from a Breville Smart Grinder Pro, mainly do filter and espresso milk drinks, probably 60-40. Would I be happy with the Timemore 078S for both filter and espresso performance? I know you'd previously indicated that it's decent for filter and better espresso vs the 078 outstanding filter. Would like an option that would ideally be similar or an upgrade in both regards. Brewing on a Barista Express Impress currently, was also looking at the Meraki brewer but that's a ways out for any upgrade there. Would love to get some thoughts.
200W is plenty. My Atom 60 is a commercial grade on-demand grinder, meant to be started with a hopper full of beans, and even on my favorite lighter roast it never came close to stalling with a 245W motor (even the Atom 75 has "only" a 250W motor).

Dude, this intro is pure biceps. There's juice with coffee you are taking
All the mornings dialing in espresso with the Cafelet Robot
Lance, I cannot say enough on how good this haircut fits you
Why do I enjoy watching Lance's grinder reviews so much? I already have a grinder with which I'm very happy. This can only lead to folly 😂
Claimed 60decibels but maybe when its off. Man that was fucking cold 🥶😂
Edit:pledge canceled thanks for the honest review my good sir!
Hitting the gym and it shows. Grats!🎉
I looked at this grinder and thought its interesting, but seemed all about "chasing features" instead of focusing on what matters! Im glad I did not back it up, cant wait for your Phillos review, as that BEAST is on my radar! 👀
Taper fade on point 👌
Is it is an archimedes screw or an auger 😁
Good job on the honest view. Very refreshing. You look great 😃👍
Arms are looking kinda diesel bro 👍🏼💪🏽
Thank you Lance. Wanted to buy it, but no thanks. Thanks for clarification. Thats the community i love!
Are you still working on the weird basket aspect ratios test? I'm curious to see what happens with more extreme ones.
Thank You Lance
Wait wasn't there a pinned comment from the company? I saw that today while at work but didn't read it yet. And now it's gone. Or am I confusing two videos?
Oh! Looks like they deleted it
Probably delivering broken promises like making the grinder smaller? How can they even do that, lol.
@@LanceHedrick Ah damn, I was curious about what they said. Were they open for the feedback and want to work on some points that you mentioned?
Holy shit Lance! Well done. You look absolitely amazing! Goals ❤❤
Digging the new look! 😎
Where did you get that slick glass container that fits so snugly under the Timemore?? In other words, who makes it?
Wondering the same thing
This isn't a downer! I just bought a Sculptor that hasn't shipped yet, and would have considered this! You saved me time and money here!
Looking good my boy
IDK, the way that the grindsize scale slightly moves each time you turn the dial would annoy me to no end, one of the biggest draws of the timemore is that it feels solid and premium, this seems like the opposite.
Thank you, Lance! You really have helped me learn a lot and grow in my love for Coffee. Have you ever thought about making a video that talks about the right time to drink your coffee after brewing? It seems to me that some coffees are better hotter and some are better closer to room temperature. I’d love to hear your thoughts on that. Thanks again 🙂
When you were thwacking after that first grind and the grinder was just tipping back and forth. 😬
Oh god the gun show at the beginning was unexpected
Looking buff! Love that fade
The fact that RUclips allows thousands of people watching a crime scene on their site in a broad daylight is wild 😂
🫣🫣🫣
Looking great Lance (not that you haven’t always looked great 🙃). Thanks again for an interesting video
Respect for your always honest opinion ❤
This is a man that can tell you an espresso with pink sweet milk it’s awesome and have the arguments to back it up and the brawl to make you drink it and love it
Wonder why they have the two rings in the front for the grind size. Why not just skip the detachable black one and have all of the size groves on the clean metal one.
Great review! :)
That thing is massive! As a happy timemore owner I hope Wirsh fix the issues so it brings more 78mm burrs to the market.
tend to be dubious of start up brands that flood instagram ads, this is one of them.
Loving the haircut🔥
Looking great Lance! My timemore sculptor 64s power button is finicky at times to power on and off. But overall super happy with it and no RDT. Also with SSPMPs I choked the grinder in the 1-2 range.
Looking good man!
Looking great Lance! Great video as always ❤️
You just save me from spending on this gigantic grinder. I will just wait for the Timemore Sculptor V2. BTW nice haircut.
The company in the way they are handling things and listening to feedback seems promising.
was considering the 64 since I wanted to upgrade my Ode 2 with SSP brew and I didn't buy the Sculptor 064S back when it was on kickstarter. But this is quite disappointing but kinda what I expected considering their replies on social media and all the fake hype that they try to build.
Grinder has huge potential. As is, it is pretentiously large for the home market. Trying to patent something in the wild is a terrible start to a new business
Lance, Portugal requires correct documentation when you transport those guns. Damn, dude!
I saw the kickstarter for this grinder and the 78mm is very large and I am disappointed they don’t support blind burrs (though I can understand why). Good to see a detailed review - I will stick to the Zerno even though I have to wait.
Man you're looking great! Haircut and swol
Thumbnail - Goatse edition.
Love the fade Lance
Another great review, and so glad I don't have to consider upgrading my 078. 🤣
You shipping out brother?
I'm sure I speak for many here when i say we appreciate you spending your own money to make best effort to remove, or at least reduce, bias as much as possible. Now we wait for some clown to comment that you're in Timemore's pocket...
Joke aside, informative video, helpful stuff
Shout out to Delta for beans to test noise. Ideal application .
Exactly what I thought after the spam IG campaign....A cheap expensive product that relies on FOMO to trap customers. The gimmick idea of spraying water directly into your grinder is beyond insanity to me.
Nice fade my friend !
It looks like they've taken the best features, both visually and practicality, from every recommended machine and slashed the price on their production.
Then they built a new machine using the parts that were produced at half price.
Also DAYUM Lance you fine, that the muscle porn-starsh look really suits you
Nice haircut Lance, that look is you my guy
Buzz cut looks great!
Forget about the coffee. The haircut! The biceps! bEWMMM!!
Chuffed to know about the upcoming 78mm burrs!
Also the GU64 is only 200W and not 400W like the GU78!
Thank You sooo much Lance ❤
200W is plenty. My Atom 60 is a commercial grade on-demand grinder, meant to be started with a hopper full of beans, and even on my favorite lighter roast it never came close to stalling with a 245W motor (even the Atom 75 has "only" a 250W motor).
